Academic year start and end months in Poland English medium schools

Hi All,
I am from India and planning to take up 1 to 2 year work assignment in Poznan. I would like to know, when does the academic year start and end in poznan / Poland English medium schools?

International School of Poznań is what I have in mind..any reviews or better English medium schools in Poznan ?

That's an Indian term you're advised to leave behind, very few people in Poland would understand it I imagine. Say "international school" or 'school in English'

All schools, no matter the language of instruction use the same schedule. The first half of the school years starts in the beginning of September and lasts until sometime in January. The second half begins in late February and ends toward the end of June.

'english medium ' - not not an 'Indian term', but a normal English term to describe what he means.
My children went to an 'English medium' school in the UK.

It's the phrase used to describe those schools and courses here.

how very odd! I've never heard it (though to be fair I don't hang around people who need/want services in English).

The only time I've ever come across the term is in discussions of the Indian system....


Is the UK that far gone that you need to distinguish that children are being educated in English? Weird, weird, place. So sad....

lol Maf, no..:):) Believe it or not there are other native languages in the UK besides English. Who'd have thought it eh?

You are aware that English itself is an immigrant language in the UK, and that the language and the country of England are named for their original home in Angeln, which is now in northern Schleswig-Holstein? And that the official languages of England were French and Latin for several centuries after 1066, and English could not be used in courts of law until 1661? And that the current ruling house is German, with Elizabeth II being the first monarch in that house to have any recent English ancestors (on her fathers side, you have to go way, way, way back before you hit an English ancestor).

For the greater part of its history, education in "English medium" would have been considered a fanciful idea in England.

Nagh, are you intending to study English in Poznań?

Is English an official language there?
