Learning Polish in Krakow - do you know any private teachers?
There are plenty of schools that will do individual lessons as an alternative

You mean they'll get a Polish teacher of English to do the job (badly).

Have you thought about language skills exchange? I'm looking for anyone who will teach me English. I live in Poznan, but people have made up the internet, so we can use skype. What do you think? If you are interested in - call me 607288724.

Merged: Learning Polish in Kraków - best way?
hi everybody
Just signed on.
Be prepared for a lot of dumb americanski questions.
First question....
What is the best way to hit the ground running on learning Polish the minute I set foot in Kraków?
Keep in mind that I am 85 years old and I am on good terms with several other languages.

PS... When you see a typo, it is my typing and not My spelling

There is no magic elixir to help you speed up learning Polish.
Each person is different, some grasp foreign languages faster some slower.
Use search function, there are a lot of threads about learning Polish language, here on PF
Don't worry about the typos, I make them all the time. Keyboard dyslexia, especially when changing keyboard layouts.

Hey Eddie, I can only recommend what I personally know. it's a school Polish language Glossa, in Krakow (Dietla 103). Courses start every Monday. The teachers are authors of a popular Polish coursebook, and there is a lot of types of classes to pick from.
