In Krakow where I live for two room apartment in a good location you will pay rent for about 1500 PLN + 600 PLN water, heating and so on.As for learning Polish, you can start to do it before you come to Poland, wherever you presently live.I am a professional Polish teacher. Polish Tutor - | 78 15 Feb 2010 / #4From Krakow you have 90 km to the highest Polish mountains (Tatry) you can find many pictures on internet. In smaller cities of this region flats are for sure cheaper. You can check also Wroclaw and its area. There mountains are not so high but also beautiful

Torq 15 Feb 2010 / #7That's not exactly the nicest way to ask a question, Sanok, and what's it to yaanyway? The fellow wants to come to Poland and learn the language, he's payinghis way too, so it doesn't matter what he wants to do here (as long as it's legal).
Polish Tutor - | 78 15 Feb 2010 / #8I did not mention about Bieszczady region. I think the most beautyful. The bigest city of this region is Rzeszów.

OP dellyend 1 | 2 16 Feb 2010 / #12Thank you. From SouthendDon't worry I don't intend to bring a large family with me and live off your generous benfits system, I have too much pride and self respect to do that.As a retired schoolteacher I have plans to write a book on chess, a children's novel, to improve my accordion playing and, of course, to learn to speak and write the Polish language. When I have any spare time I will use it to see more of your beautiful country.
