Buying apartment in Poland - Kitchen / bathroom

Hello!

I have never bought an apartment ever in my life, so maybe this question sounds stupid to some of you.

I maybe want to buy a new apartment directly from a developer/agencja however in my country they include to a new apartment always a basic kitchen and a basic bathroom. I have heard stories that in Poland they deliver your apartment totally empty without kitchen and bathroom. Could someone confirm and tell how the situation is in Poland?

Thank you :)

Maria

Yup. It is a common practice, an empty flat, only walls. Then you add golden handles and chandeliers by your own.

It's the normal practice. Some years ago they tried selling apartments with bathrooms and kitchens (and maybe flooring too) already installed (pod klucz) and the reaction.... was not positive. Polish buyers seem to like making decisions about kitchen and bathroom and flooring for themselves.

I just checked and you can find apartments ready to move into (again look for the term 'pod klucz') but you'll have to do some looking.

article in Polish about the phenomenon...
