My name is Anna and currently I am staying in Poland but very soon I am moving to New Delhi to settle down over there... If there are any polish people in teh capital pls let me kow ... it would be nice to stay in touch!!!
Hello Ania, That is a big move, you must be very excited.
I found this on the net Polish expatriates in India and Polacy w Indiach. Also you could contact the Polish Embassy in India and even the Indian Embassy in Poland as they should know people in the same place as you will be in and might even organise get togethers. I hope that helps.
I am moving to New Delhi to settle down over there...
Have you been before ?
I'm British rather than Polish, but New Delhi is a real baptism of fiire for a first trip to India and if you're planning on living there too, then there will be even more to get used too.
ThANK YOU SeanBM FOR YOUR advices... very helpful indeed... actually i already made contacts with polish embassy in new delhi as i have been to india year back... i am just about to apply for doing internship in polish embassy itself...
MisterH... Yes i have been there and I am in a relationship with boy who i met during my stay in delhi... we both have picked delhi for aour home:) I fell in love with India and even more with culture.. this is unpredictable country .. you can not prepare well enough for your first trip over there..cause does not matter how many efforts you make there will be always somethimng what will surprise you :)
I wrote over here..cause i wanna get to know ppl who like me... are from completly different culture and are going to spend some time in india... together will be easier:)
May I ask you, why in God's name you are living in that cesspool?
have you ever been there???? there are very few polish people in delhi...i used to know this one lady..she was around 45 and she was my dads freinds wife..
frankly sayinh i have not noticed anything what i heard earlier about worshipping cow... ok you can find tyhem on the streets thats all... after some time i even get used ro that picture
From a British point of view, I have comic images of lots of Indians complaining, "Oh no, the Polish are coming over here, taking our jobs and women and setting up corner shops and restaurants everywhere!"
(This is what was said when they, Indians, first came to Britain) youtube.com/watch?v=vpStoROu0XE
Thanks tervel for your good luck wishes... well i can imagine what some british ppl (although i do not wanna make any generalisations) think about polish ones... and also i do not think so that in very close future almost have of poland will emigrate to india as they did to england ;)
No, and nor do I have a desire to visit that cesspool anytime soon. Thanks :)
nobody is going to force you to do so... and i am sick of ppl who can only judge others but have not experienced the culture in its origin.... i am not going to make a judgement about you either but just mind your words.. world would be so boring if everybody is the same looks the same and behave the same way ... what really makes travelling interesting its diversity of that planet... thanks God they are still ppl who can understand this..
And don't mind some of the others, they are just trying to illicit a response.
With your healthy attitude, I am sure you will have a great life there.
I am Irish and I live in Poland, for now, I enjoy it here.
Have you learned any Hindi?, I am not exactly sure what the main language is in New Delhi? I just looked at it in Wiki, the temples look wonderful. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Delhi

Congratulations and good luck! But I wish you were moving to California to open a new Polish deli instead of being Polish and moving to New Delhi!
Thanks;) i thnk that there are enough polish people already in USA so one more polish girl would not make a difference;) maybe one more polish girl india can make a great difference;)
nobody said life is pice of cake... i know it might be difficult.. but the most important is i have the right man by my side.. thank you for such warm words..
Hi I love Delhi and i am so happy for you, I wish one day i will go back there again ... I wish you all the best and who knows maybe see you one day in New Delhi
We are an animation production company in delhi and have our studios in Poland as well. We need Polish translators to help our colleagues who come from Poland frequently to visit our studio here. They need help with the language as most of them don't speak English. Is anyone interested in doing part-time job with us? Please let us know. write to us at info@tigerbells.com
@ anakanka: Sounds interesting, and good wishes to you; but don't hang around Paharganj too long. If you don't want to be ripped off all the time like I was in Poland, the question would be 'kya, tum Hindi malum?'.
