How do Polish people operate? what makes them tick?

Havok  10 | 902

The point of this exercise is to demonstrate to you how most Polish people operate, and how to spot a true Polish in the forums like this.

Most Polish people feel undervalued and generally very self conscious about their own image and in their culture they learned how to exploit shortcomings of the other people in order improve their social standing and negate their stigma of being poor and behind with everything.

It's a very lazy approach, not really effective in the long run, but practiced by most Polish people in complete denial.

People in most of other cultures, I also need to add more successful ones, concentrate on identifying positive traits or concepts and then spend most of their time and energy on mimicking it in order to accomplish the same level of success.

Not until I pointed it out, the trouble started. Polish people hate being reminded of their flaws.

For example, take a look at the poster Ms. Bzibzioh.
Once she realized that this kid, Havok came from a poor neighborhood and he had severe family problems, she felt a lot more confident in her own responses. You're welcome there Biz.

Ms. pgtx feels confident because she thinks that a job of a moderator gives her authority, therefore she feels she can instruct people and coach them. This position offers a lot of comfort because since you're in a position to tell people they're wrong, you must be right.

Marisa aka Puella is an older person. She is pissed off at people being better off in general. See is very low on the totem-pole of life so it takes a lot to satisfy her hunger. I hope my story did something for you girl today.

the above mentioned Polish psychology comes in all shapes and colors and variations. And that's what gets us in trouble around the world. Go ahead read through any thread and you will see the pattern yourself.

The mechanics is simple, find out the other person's weakness, point it out, and make yourself feel better and you win!

Note to Polish folks:
Kids, when I tell you to go **** a goat i really mean it. Go **** it.

here is a link with a point of reference to back up my observations. But feel free to search through the Polish forums for yourself on your own pace.

https://polishforums.com/po-polsku/oda-marysi-51618/2/

Please feel free to discuss above made observations.

Thanks

Truly yours Havok

POLAND is a country that foreigners criticise at their peril. Even the mildest mention of habitual unpunctuality, brusque telephone manners or bad roads can prompt a lengthy and emotional review of the outside world's insensitive and ignorant attitude to the country's tragic history.

There’s always a septic tank job for him in the near future as more affluent families in Texas started to implement indoor pluming in their trailers.

Actually, you're the one that seems to be attacking people to make himself feel better. I couldn't care less - it's pretty obvious that you're not happy with yourself.

There’s always a septic tank job for him in the near future as more affluent families in Texas started to implement indoor pluming in their trailers.

No use for him, I'm afraid - he'd have to shower after getting home, and he just can't do that when PF is waiting.

Not so sure this is done by Polish people in general. But, if there is truth to this, it is sad because Polish people have so much to offer.

What you refer to is a common coping technique used by insecure people. I see it here in the States, too. Maybe, instead of getting upset with the person, we can say something to put them at ease.

And if we are tempted to do the same thing and say something nasty in return, think of this simple illustration that I read somewhere, "If I snuff out your candle, my candle fails to shine any brighter."

we can say something to put them at ease

or we can say something that doesn't offer consolation but let's them see the reality in a proper perspective. Poles have historically had the mindset of a victim nation, with the Partitions, and the two world wars, it keeps coming up over and over again, both in Polish foreign relations as well as the attitudes of regular people. Is it fair that Germans witness the struggle of Polish immigrants from the comfort of their high standard of living while the Poles are busy cleaning rooms or plucking strawberries? No. But if the martyr-pose of Polish people causes them to resent all richer nations, and particularly Poles who have moved there and are somehow not at the bottom of the society (which you can see evidenced on this form every hour of every day), then rather than being offered kind words, they should be slapped into reality.

I won't refer to Poland's tragic history so let me say this is no different than Americans.
Sounds like "they hate us for our freedoms", doesn't it?

I speak 3 languages, i write in all 3, and still i fail at communicating with them. i find it really irritating to try to point out something obvious and people just ignore it because it's inconvenient and doesn't conform to their views of themselves. There are countless threads on this forum about the same thing if you can read in between the lines. Why, because they're clueless about what is going on outside of their country. Even when they go somewhere, they filter what they see through their Polish perceptions, so they're still clueless, which perpetuates the dumb Polack stereotype in the West.

I won't refer to Poland's tragic history so let me say this is no different than Americans.

You're a perfect example of that.

You have it backwards. You won't find Americans playing the victim card.

"What is rather odder is that praising Poland can go down badly too. A mild remark about the variety and excellence of the country's media or the growing strength of its private sector can be taken as being insensitive to poverty, unemployment and the inadequacy of public services, let alone the country's historical tragedies."

You won't find that in America, either.

I am outside of my country and I know yours very, very well. And I wish your gangsters pack up and leave alone the 190 counties where you have military bases because everybody hates your for your freedoms. But that would require moe Amerians to go outside their country and see what's going on, since their government just keeps on lying.

clean up the mess your government presides over before you lecture Poles.

oh yeah?
hate you for your freedoms?
Oh, poor poopsies! Got bombed on 9/11. Imagine that!

They hate you for your crimes, and for the freedoms you either take away or help being taken away from them, and some hate you for your stupidity and complicity.

This has to be today's record of packing as much BS into two sentences as possible, and I don't think anyone could reasonably dignify this with a response.

I will, however, point out the template behind your typical response, which can be paraphrased into "Even though I don't understand what you guys are saying, you're saying something critical about Poland so I'm going to respond with, America sucks, too."

And not that there are no reasons to criticize America, but the stuff that you invariably come up with is never insightful, never accurate, just the same stuff, repeated over and over, without any reflection or concern for truth.

These words are not even a secret. You just refuse to believe that your taxes are used to kill innocent people all around the world. And yes, as a Pole, I am ashamed my country went for that too.

I will, however, point out the template behind your typical response, which can be paraphrased into "Even though I don't understand what you guys are saying, you're saying something critical about Poland so I'm going to respond with, America sucks, too."

I'll tell you what the template is: preemptive strike, that's what. And that is the American doctrine that seems to have gone through the core of the nation on all levels. Attack others and try to look better. Well, it's not working. Too many people know what America stands for these days. You're not one of those people.

And not that there are no reasons to criticize America, but the stuff that you invariably come up with is never insightful, never accurate, just the same stuff, repeated over and over, without any reflection or concern for truth.

What's repeated is the same state sponsored lies via what you call media in the US. You don't have the guts to learn the truth. You are a product of manufactured consent and you refuse to seek the truth. It is much too embarrassing for Americans to admit, so instead they will look out for yet another nation to harm and to ridicule.

I would agree with my wife here (for a change)... Someone told me that repeating the same thing over and over is a sign of being insecure.

Nothing original.
Others have already said that about you in this thread.
Greetings for your wife who apparently knows you well.

I don't exactly follow each and everybody posting here (on PF taht is - not this thread alone) but Havok has plenty of good points all who responded reacted in the typical, miserable Polish way. Why? Toilets and stuff... And, why are mixing 'American way' into it?

Havok tries to tell you his observations (they happen to be right) well, most of them. So, instead of immediately fighting him, think about it. No matter what anybody says, thinking and responding 'the American way' is great. When you debate something in this country, I mean when regular folks talk), they will hear you first - then respond.

Unlike my Polish compatriots, when they want to be heard but they don't know how to listen. It drives me nuts often, when I get a call and my friend keeps talking without listening! The last time I just had to say.."I liked your monologue, would you like to have a dialog now?". I think she did not like it because I did not hear from her for four days. Oh well.

You mean those rehearsed talk shows?
There is no debate in th US to speak of.
The rule of thumb is this:

Americans screw around in another resource rich country.
People of that country blow up a US ship or whatever.
The US states: they hate us for our freedoms
US either sends troops, or weapons and cash to support the local dictator
Americans buy yellow ribbon magnets (made in china) and to support the American troops they stick the magnets on their cars

Hallelujah! Praise god for Z-Darius and PF because otherwise 400 million Americans would still be living in ignorance... And just in time, too, since the world is ending tomorrow!

You know nothing about this country, except what you hear in the media. You are the one who keeps popping the Blue Pill...

Feel free to keep repeating the sound bites about invading countries, media brainwashing, oil, blah blah blah, I honestly don't give a crap what someone like you thinks. The fact is that there are so many diverse people, and opinions, and lifestyles, and viewpoints, and ideas, and convictions, that all your trite generalizations can never be true, and you won't even scratch the surface of the diversity of this country until you have lived here for a while (and not in a "Little Poland").
