Trams collide at Ul. Hallera junction with Ul. Powstancow, Wrocław

Seems one tram might have hit another at that junction, some people were injured, saw at least one stretchered away. I hope no one was seriously hurt, probably not as the speeds would have been low.

I don't know how it happened as didn't see it, but as someone who regularly travels by tram in that area it was a bit worrying.

Credit to the authorities - they cleared the whole thing up very quickly - in the UK such things rarely get sorted so quickly.

I have the link for the newspaper now, one of the trams derailed, 4 non life threatening injuries. trams 14 and 20 at 7pm.

If I read it correctly one of the carriages of one tram jumped off the track and hit the other tram as they were passing each other.

Yes it looked that way, I took a photo and that's the impression I got - the blue number 20 was positioned forward of any visible rails when I saw where it came to a halt. The other tram hit the blue one on the side but did not break the tram's side. That part of Powstancow was halted because of this but they managed to route many of the buses around it and cleared it up very quickly with lifting gear and other support on the scene before I got there.

True. It seems the cops treat every accident as a crime scene. A few years ago I got held up on my way to LHR for two-and-a-half hours while a motorbike fatality was being dealt with. ffs, scrape him up and let's get moving!
