I don't see anything indicative of anyof the groups being neo-nazis. I think some people on this forum believe that Poland is a cesspool for neo-nazism. Just because someone has a shaved head and looks tough doesn't mean they're neo-nazis.
Skins vs anarchists in Warsaw
Just because someone has a shaved head and looks tough doesn't mean they're neo-nazis.
The flags and salutes are a bit of a clue.
Jon, if you've a link to any pics of that sort of thing on that march last week, please post a link. Youtube or pics would be appreciated, if you get a mo. Thx.
Fortunately nobody in Warsaw takes these clowns seriously.
Most of them aren't. They tend to stop dressing up pretty well as soon as they lose their cherry which is admittedly rather later than average for most of them.
No you aren't: you are not old enough to vote.

Jon, thank you for the links. I assume they're all from the 11/11/2013 Warsaw march. But whichever year, the images are disturbing, to say the least.
... Unless they were mistakenly interpreted à la youtube.com/watch?v=v8t62zUatFc
Sadly I doubt it.

Sadly I doubt it.
I doubt it too - it's clear what they were about and there are even more striking images of those turds on the net for anyone who thinks they're some kind of 'patriots'..
The ray of hope is that the rainbow is sorted and there are moves to stop their silly games from happening next year.
Most of them
OK, so from a group of four photo three have nothing to do with Nazi or racist or anything of the sort. That just allusion to antebellum Polish national organization - no big deal.
On the second photography you have three people holding some unrecognizable to me symbol I presume that is some kind of racist stuff. Well, idiots if they have anything to do with the organization symbols of which they wear, they are idiots. No big deal.
But whichever year, the images are disturbing, to say the least.
Why?
The ray of hope is that the rainbow is sorted
What are you talking about?
OK, so from a group of four photo three have nothing to do with Nazi or racist or anything of the sort.
From a group of 4 photos, 4 have everything to do with that. Stop pretending to be naive.
What are you talking about?
If you lived here, you'd know about our current affairs in Poland.

And the forth was taken in 2007 regurgitated by the press time and time again, btw wrong city and it was met with counter demonstrations, pictures were not posted here for obvious reason, it would diminish the point they try to make.

And here's a banner of the same mob of racist morons outside the Russian embassy this week:
This thread has had nearly two pages cleaned, because certain posters have taken it off topic with their bickering and desire to ruin every thread for others. The topic was about marches earlier this week in Warsaw and this should be the only discussion in this thread. Posters who continue to ruin threads for others will be dealt with in future.

Read yesterday that the police most likely will issue an arrest warrant for the organizer of the Hitlerjugend march. Serves him right. I hope they will empty his bank accounts to pay for the damage caused. What also was delightful news is that they are starting to arrest increasingly numbers of IQ-less morons who took part in the HJ march. One already got fined 1000 PLN and 3 months' jail.
Still it baffles me how incompetent the Polish police is in controlling this nazi scum.
It does not take much. Only resolve, dogs, gas, water cannons, helicopters and horses.

Stick to the topic sobieski, we are not talking about Antifa or a homo march but aboutva Patriotic march.
Patriotic march.
No. It wasn't that. There were certainly pseudopatriots there. Patriots they were not. Ask a grown-up what the difference is.

The danger is that they'll make a pretend martyr out of the little twerp.

This is the best route to go down. The rule of the law.

They are not very competent as a rule and in this case (as in others) prefer a quiet life, but are - with the force of public opinion behind them - dealing with the pseudopatriots.

As an intelligent man, you should try too analyze the facts, were was the Police in all three incidents?
Straz Marszu was there only to protect the people in the march, they werent paid by the city council etc to protect the Warsaw.
Who attacked the Russian embassy, burned down the (ugly if you ask me) Rainbow?
Some idiots yes, but where they in the march... we don't know that.
Where they linked with ruch Narodowy?
Probably not, as a group of young Politicians, Bosak, Winnicki etc wouldnt want to be linked with some hooligans and arsonists.
I believe that these incidents were caused by Antifa and the Squatters, I reckon they should pay for it, or be thrown in jail.
This is teh Antifa:

Do try harder dear boy: that photo very clearly wasn't taken at this year's march.
A shame they weren't there really - they look peaceful enough to me.

Reclaiming the perjorative terms the right-wing marchers love to spew out.

Indeed.

I do not insult people.I remark on brainless, IQ-less, brain-dead morons who (apologize to our family Labrador) have no idea what the word tolerance means. Hence they burnt the rainbow. You stand for a kind of Poland which 70% does not accept. Even worse, as far as I know you do not even live here, do not pay taxes here, so you should shut up and join your redneck buddies for a cosy lynching.

Ah! The words of a closet nazi himself with crowd control tactics strait out of their play book or perhaps a deep rooted communist traditions are bleeding through. Your paranoia and insecurity of opposing political view to your own makes you the same entity no matter what facade you put on the outside to disguise that fact.
Reclaiming the perjorative terms the right-wing marchers love to spew out.
Why? You are doing the same slandering all good decent and patriotic people who took part in the march(99,9%) and focusing your attention on same fringe individuals. Those things happens in Paris and London on much bigger scale and nobody is getting hysterical like you.
I do not insult people
Sure you do. You insult decent, hard working people native to this country who made up majority of the march; as I said 99,9%. #
Hence they burnt the rainbow.
I'm sure that while people were marching some property were stolen in Praga - do you blame it on the march like 90% of Polish biased or brainless media with an IQ of a sleaze.
You stand for a kind of Poland which 70% does not accept.
Talking in the name of Poles - that priceless given the fact you are Belgian.

On what do you base that number? Were you there? Did you see the scum who took part in that march? You apparently didn't even know that there were two marches: one for patriotic Poles and led by the Poland's head of state; and one for neo-nazi scum (neo-nazi scum being the exact phrase used by my Mrs to describe the morons we saw on the streets of our city as we took an afternoon stroll; she also said that such people are a disgrace to Poland).

He lives in Poland, surrounded by Poles and speaks Polish every day to Poles; you do none of those things and haven't for decades; it's pretty obvious that he'll have a better understanding of and knowledge about Poland and Poles than you do.

I was out, unlike you I was out in Warsaw on Monday afternoon. I saw the crowds of retarded morons waiting to take part in their big day out in the big city.
This forum is crazy, foreigners try to patronise Poles about their country
We live here, we see it Poland every day; you haven't even been here for years. The photos you have posted above clearly show that you were lying when you claimed to have been on the neo-nazis' march on Monday.
its a pity that harry can only get his information from his missus about poland. If he had bothered to learn polish he would understand that politics is a lot more nuanced than one march for patriots and another for neo nazi scum. But I guess such a simplistic view of poland is typical of many expats in warsaw who do not assimiliate but form cultural ghettos. These sort of people talk to poles in english but predomently socialice with other foreigners at expat bars.
But perhaps pf should give harry some lessons in polish so he can understand the country more i will start.

Merged: Warszawski Rainbow
[Didn't find a topic about this. If there is one, please merge].
What are your thoughts on the burning down of the rainbow in Warszawa recently? Do you think that there should be a rainbow there in the first place, that is financed by the mayor. By the way, she had said that they will keep re building it, as many times as it takes. Is this fair on tax payers, that she is going to be using their money to re build it 'as many times as it takes.' Also why is it okay to have a rainbow, but no a 'pomnik' of the plane catastrophe [that was suggested in the past]? Your thoughts?

rainbow=nice pleasant, warm, welcoming, can have many different symbolic meanings to different people
plane crash=not so happy, not really going to get tourist spending their money, by all means build a monument, but I've never seen a monument to a plane crash depicting the actual crash. It would be in bad taste and disrespectful to the victims and their families.
It is fair to tax payers....well it's not really, but it's just as fair as wasting money on fighter jets so the clowns in the Polish army can play soldiers in the desert with their yankie overlords....sorry, I mean allies :D
