Rest in Peace Anna Walentynowicz or is it...?!

Yes I think these people are smart enough to kill the elite of the nation... saying that they are not purely racist of you and very stereotypical. as well.

I think that the Russians were messing with the bodies not because of the incompetence but because theys till treat the Polish nation as a very weak country, that nobody is counting with.

That's partly the fault of our own regime, since they have changed the position of Poland from the country that stood proud in what they believed, to the country that takes everything what the great red brother offers them, on their knees...

Cheers

Isn't there supposed to be some new rule about making blanket statements?

how could Russians be so messy as to put the bodies in wrong coffins?????

Could it perhaps be because one body which is pulled from a plane that hit the ground upside down at 200kph looks very much like another?

You're giving them far more credit than they deserve. Anyone with an ounce of knowledge about the real world knows that Russia isn't exactly known for being competent.

Usual paranoia.

I really wonder what country you're talking about, as it's certainly not Poland.

Strange, I read that the bodies were transfered from the origional Russian coffins into fancier Polish coffins,in Poland, seems from that its a Polish SNAFU not a Russian one.

well, there was a talk a long time ago IN POLAND that some bodies were switched. So perhaps some people involved either in Russia or Poland knew about it. Now there is this whole think is going to be blown out of proportions and made it political, while the human error was probably involved. Hard to say at the moment, until we get the facts.

until we get the facts.

You're expecting facts?! ROFL.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that the Russian authorities will entirely blame the Polish authorities and the Polish authorities will entirely blame the Russian authorities and that some of the people who vote PiS will claim that this is all a conspiracy which involves both the Russian authorities and the Polish authorities. Anybody care to have a bet on that?

Goofy is so important to think for yourself, stop parroting what your parent tell you.

That's pretty much exactly what will happen.

Re Poland's funeral industry, are there any American-style funeral parlours in Poland where mourners come to view and pay respects to the deceased displayed in an open coffin? There is a viewing room at Wólka Węglowa (presumably also at other cemeteries) but that is usually about 30 minutes before the Requiem mass. And not all families opt to have the open coffin displayed. There's an extra charge for that (rental of the viewing room).

that has already happened as far as I am concerned., therefore I am expecting a different spin on that. I am not able to predict the future and I am always amazed that some people can.

That's pretty much exactly what will happen.

see above.

American-style funeral parlours in Poland

yea, that's right, it's an American tradition and not one ye inherited from Europe :P
Of course it's here, where do ya think the Yanks took it from :P

Re: the story, I don't see the point in people being so upset over the remains. Sure it's a plane crash they were lucky to get anything at all. If they were mixed up so it's not really important, what's important is the symbolism of putting them to rest and remembering their lives.

Reminds me of the joke....Who has the nicest legs in Wawel? The air hostess buried beside Zimny Lech (^_^)

You mean Kopacz ?

Kopacz

As far as I know she doesn't work in a mortuary, though from the state of some of the PiS members in the Sejm she may as well.

Which plays perfectly into the Government's hands as the usual suspects will be too busy ranting and raving about the ****** to actually oppose properly - therefore ensuring yet another win for PO in 2015.

Don`t forget about modern science. It can make wonders. :):):)

ooops.... but quite probable...

Sorry, you are mistaken. Coffins were transported from Russia and there was an official ban on opening them in Poland. Only President coffin was open for further tests.

Better ask - how is it possible that Russians put the body of another woman in Walentynowicz`s coffin?

Inside the ugly red Russian coffins there could be sealed metal, military-type ones - which seems highly probable, considering how butchered the corpses were.
Or the whole red thing could be put into the Polish coffin. The Polish coffins seemed bigger to me.

PiS is calling for Ewa Kopacz's head. Please someone explain how she is responsible? Please connect the dots for me.

She's PO so anything goes. Since when does it have to be logical?

Because they hate Kopacz for being a very able politician who won't do what they want.

Not only for that.

It seems 10 years ago she lied to media and people about procedures in Moscow. She assured that putting bodies/remains into all coffins had been supervised by Polish physicians and her personally too.

Today she is withdrawing from all her previous statements. Misunderstood, as she says. Media suggest she is laughable.

I don`t like her.

I don't like her too - I don't like liars. She lied also that the whole ground at Smoleńsk was digged up to 1 meter from the surface and all the fragments of bodies and passengers' belongings were find. It was not the truth...

Kopacz fits perfectly into the Tusk team, since 'liar' is her middle name. TV showed what she said shortly after theh 2010 crash claiming that Polish forensic experts had taken part in the autopsies in Moscow. When that turned out to be a bold-faced lie, she hummed and hawed and came up with: 'Er, um, what I meant was that Polish physicians helped to prepare the bodies...but it was the Russians who carried out the actual autopsies.'

Do you think she would have admitted her lie, if she hadn't been confrointed over it? I think not!
