4th Polish Republic may re-emerge

If they get majority - what is the problem?

Majority is not enough as I'm sure you know. They needed 2/3 and they weren't able to get that so their initiative failed.

They are doing all they want right now and people are just being silly if they think that some law is protecting them.

We have TK to make sure constitution isn't violated.

Lenka, please!
You can rob honest people in the daylight,(as they did) your government can do it without consequences why are you telling fairy stories about Constitutions and TK?

Iron- in every country ppl and gov cheat, steal and all that. We can't deny that. The only thing we can do is to try and prevent it- hence TK. And they proved to be useful in the past.

True, but you still can't say it was "pushed".

O didn't say it was 'pushed' through at gunpoint but various elements ganged up to force it through. Who controlsl the media controls the state.

That way we won't get anywhere. With that argument we can ditch all laws, govs and so on. You can't deny that referendum is the most democratic way to ensure ppl decide what they want. There isn't better way. Of course we can say that majority of society is simply stupid but what can we do? Nothing. That's why I oppose to you using the word pushed

it's perfectly legal in Polish politics to bring down Governments

Technically they did not violently overthrow Olszewski by sending security troops into the Sejm, but as 'Nocna zmiana' clearly showed, the whole busienss had an unsavoury, shady and conspriatorial backroom air about it. At least the film showed who the future wreckers of Free Poland would be: commies, KOR-ites and liberals working hand in glove.

Iron- in every country ppl and gov cheat, steal and all that.

I haven't heard situation when government's contractors haven't been paid, and middle man to whom government handed the money just disappeared No Lenka as much as you are use to corruption I haven;t witnessed anything like that.

he only thing we can do is to try and prevent it- hence TK.

So what TK said in the case? I don't know - what I'm guessing they would not take on such a case as it has nothing to do with Constitution.

And they proved to be useful in the past.

Sure, did they prevented people from being robbed by the government? Are they paying their bills? I'm curios - tell me.

No Lenka as much as you are use to corruption

Just lol. I never took or gave a bribe. I'm more used to ppl simply steeling than corruption

So what TK said in the case? I don't know - what I'm guessing they would not take on such a case as it has nothing to do with Constitution.

True, for other cases we have different institutions. But we were talking about constitution so I named TK

Sure, did they prevented people from being robbed by the government? Are they paying their bills? I'm curios - tell me.

That's not their job. They are there to make sure are laws are compatible with constitution and in that respect there were useful.

I'm not saying that you took part in anything and I haven't implied that. What I had in mind was that you are immune on some kinds of corruption in everyday life and more so in governmental policy.

You are not alone.Tusk government robed those people and his support didn't drop considerably, nobody protested - nothing happened. People just take for granted that politicians are corrupted - so what - its is the case everywhere.

Yes everywhere in Africa maybe.

True, for other cases we have different institutions.

So what other institution done about that?

That's not their job. They are there to make sure are laws are compatible with constitution and in that respect there were useful.

I know that but whose job it is? Tusk nominee? Who?
That would be almost a year - have that case been settled?

I know you weren't talking about me personally but I just wanted to show that it's not true I'm in any way used to corruption.

So what other institution done about that?

If the Polish state didn't pay their bill the victims can go to court and demand Skarb Państwa to pay. Simple as that- it's the same as if private contractor wouldn't pay his bills.

That would be almost a year - have that case been settled?

I rather doubt that since cases in court can take a rather long time.

Who controlsl the media controls the state.

And who controls the media? Today, we have such diversity in this field that everyone can choose what they want to read or watch according to their liking. Don't like GW, read Rzepa. Don't like TVN, watch Trwam. It's entirely up to you.

but as 'Nocna zmiana' clearly showed, the whole busienss had an unsavoury, shady and conspriatorial backroom air about it

So "conspirational" that the conspirators let themselves be openly filmed, on Walesa's request. Medias were also present. Nocna zmiana is just a great example of terrible journalism.

OK, say heavily promoted, forcefully propagated.... it's only semantics. BTW are you in favour of the educational-reform referendum now being proposed? You've heard of the 3 x TAK referendum of 1946 I believe. Stalin once said: 'it's not important how people vote, what's important is who counts the ballots.'

Stalin once said: 'it's not important how people vote, what's important is who counts the ballots.'

Do you suggest the refferendum on constitution was forged?

BTW are you in favour of the educational-reform referendum now being proposed?

Rather not. Many ppl don't have the slightest idea about it. The constitution was given to ppl in free examples to make them get to know it while on the education reform- most ppl have no idea how it's prepared, what does it mean for kids and so on.

And how is that even remotely related to our constitution from 1997?

I'm in any way used to corruption.

You are! You are still supporting current government regardless of what they done.

If the Polish state didn't pay their bill the victims can go to court and demand Skarb Państwa to pay.

There is no if about that. Yes they government paid but those to whom they paid mysteriously disappeared leaving those who actually done all the work in poverty.

Are you telling me that government handed money to some people from the street they knew nothing about? Not even their names?
should those people go to the same court that let go Sawicka without punishment even that she was guilty like hell?

I rather doubt that since cases in court can take a rather long time.

So, how do you propose those people would feed families in meantime ie for ten years. After all they are pursued by they workers for money so work for them is not an option.

Well you don't care, that is their business and the right is in middle and all that BS which hides fact that you are used to corruption.

You have been voting for PO have you not? So it is your fault too, you know that you are responsible for that, you personally as you are still supporting such government.

Where did I say I support current government? I simply recognise that's a government chosen in free elections. Amd frankly speaking I can't really see better options in curent political situation

That's evident mistake, that's for sure.

I had no intention of defending it. I feel sorry for every one that found himself in such situation- no matter if they deal with private corporations or government. It's a shame it takes so long to end the case in court- I never said otherwise.

You have been voting for PO have you not? So it is your fault too, you know that you are responsible for that, you personally as you are still supporting such government.

Why all those assumptions and accusatory tone? I never voted for PO. And as negative as it sounds I can't see any political force right now that would be free of being driven by the passion for power instead of doing something good for the country.

Polonius, we know that you're politically naive, but since when has politics ever been anything but unsavoury, shady and conspriatorial?

No problem referendum could be held for a new Constitution.

Could be, if there was any political support for changing it. There isn't.

Stalin once said: 'it's not important how people vote, what's important is who counts the ballots.'

Are you suggesting that the legal Constitution of the Republic of Poland was implemented fraudulently? And if so, why haven't you gone straight to the public prosecutor?

You are! You are still supporting current government regardless of what they done.

Why don't you report them to the CBA if there's corruption?

Why all those assumptions and accusatory tone?

Remember - if you're not with PiS, then you must be ZOMO.

I'd certainly vote PO if my choices were either PO or PiS. In fact the only time I have voted PO that was why I voted PO.
delphiandomine  86 | 17823
13 Jun 2013 /  #230
Likewise. As with many others.

And this is why PO will win the next election, because for everyone - SLD, PSL, Palikot - it makes far more sense to return PO to power than it does to let PiS near Government again.
Ironside  50 | 12436

Why don't you report them to the CBA if there's corruption?

That is a public knowledge and after all I wouldn't want to talk with Tusk stooge.

Remember - if you're not with PiS, then you must be ZOMO.

Care to provide a quote of mine stating that or your admittance that you are lying and apology would be in order?

sure but you are foreigner whit illicit intentions and you would support anything to put down Poland.

Just like it's public knowledge that Smolensk wasn't just an accident?

Care to provide a quote of mine stating that or your admittance that you are lying and apology would be in order?

I believe that's the ZOMO reference he made were Klamczynski's exact words.

you're on a right track of putting it down as an old-timer Pole

Public knowledge? Is it really, or is it just mentioned online behind a veil of anonymity?

Care to provide a quote of mine stating that or your admittance that you are lying and apology would be in order?

I was quoting the Dear Leader. I see that you exhibit similar sorts of behaviour, accusing everyone but PiS of being this, that and the next thing.

sure but you are foreigner whit illicit intentions and you would support anything to put down Poland.

I suspect that Harry would pick up a gun to defend Poland far faster than you would.

Write a book about that.

Public knowledge?

If somebody wants to know knows.

I suspect that Harry would pick up a gun to defend Poland far faster than you would.

Thats funny, who would trust him with a real working gun? Would you?

an old-timer Pole

So you are a new Pole? A modern model right? Just like those new Soviet made models? Good luck with that.

The church is full of pedophiles. It's public knowledge. If somebody wants to know knows.

A new Pole? A natural born one that's for sure. Not sure what do Soviets have to do with it.

? A natural born one

Whats that?

The church is full of pedophiles. It's public knowledge. If somebody wants to know knows.

No, they are not, they just hear a lot of crap about that. What is your point? You don't know that firms working on Polish highways have been screwed by middlemen, hand picked by the government and paid by the government?

I'm just saying it's knowledge. Exactly the same argument you are using to support any statements.

Provide quote of mine staying that other than in this case or admit that you are lying.

Born to Polish parents.

Congratulation but you evolved did you? You become a new breed, a modern Pole a better model - right?

As it happens ironside, I'm a former army officer,

Helluva! You ARE good! You fooled them all. I wouldn't be happy to entrust you with a real weapon.

What about you? Did you do your military service in Poland before 'leaving'?

As it happens I did.
