Do nor read "Gazeta Wyborcza"

Representatives of intellectual leftishness are enemies of their own country and direct all their effort into turning the nation against their own tradition - says news portal wPolityce.pl.

On a par with all the other extreme stuff on that website. People can read whatever newspapers they like and Poland has always had room for all sorts of views - it isn't North Korea or Stalin's Russia.

Indeed, if you want to know the truth about general things reading GW is probably the worst choice. People don't call it "Gazeta wybiórcza" for no reason which means "choosing newspaper" because they choose to write things that only suit them just like during communist times the newspapers wouldn't write anything bad about ZSRR no matter how much the truth it was.

GW

Plenty of people are happy to read it; it is generally considered good quality and respected by those who are not politically conservative.

I'm also happy to read J.R.R Tolkien books but likewise they are full of fantasy rather then the truth.

the truth

I can't think of any newspaper in Poland that only sticks to 'the truth', whatever that is, and GW is certainly one of the more reliable papers in comparison with the other big sellers.

not politically conservative

I read it on par with Rzepa just as I scan Polityka, Wprost and Newsweek along with wPolityce.pl just to knwo what's happening.

One may disagree with their pro-Semitic, anti-Polish and anti-Catholic editorial policy but technically it's a decent rag.
But Poland is no exception. In the USA, Obamites and other lefitsts are known for their America-bashing proclivities.

A nice paraphrased quote from Pontius Pilate!

Reminds me of Putin's Russia. They accuse everyone else of being enemies of Russia and turning everyone against Russian traditions.

Or perhaps a realistic analysis. You may not like the fact that not everyone shares your political views - you may even loathe it that people choose to read a newspaper that presents an outlook different to your own, but, po3, I doubt that even you would claim the existence of an absolute political 'truth'.

the existence of an absolute political 'truth'.

Every absolute truth exists, but few if any have access to it. Did the praise and applause go to Merkel's head causing her to get even more deeply mired in the refugee mess? We don't know -- one would have to get into her brain to find out. So, yes, there is absolute truth known only to the Supreme Being.

I doubt it, somehow.

there is absolute truth known only to the Supreme Being.

Perhaps yes. Very eschatological, but we won't know the whole story until it's all over.

So you believe/suspect the afterlife bequeaths omniscience upon those who have crossed over?

Read up on mainstream Twentieth Century theology and the Eschaton and you may find an answer.

But it still won't stop you telling people they shouldn't read a newspaper that doesn't share your views.

Plenty of people are happy to read it;

I wish I could :( The prose is too difficult for my reading abilities. Rzeczpospolita or similar is easier to read for second language dumbheads like myself, even though I hate the editorial. and I buy Dziennik Baltycki every weekday for Tri-City news (which also is a little tricky...).

Apart from not being Polish what else do you have against Putin and his regime in Russia? Do you support radical conservatism in Russia today? Would you like to see a similar situation developing in Poland? If not, how would your version of Polish conservatism differ to Putin's?

Ofcourse there is, but it's almost never presented.

And you wonder why you haven't got rights to vote... sigh

...or USA or Israel. In USA you have to watch carefully what you print and in Israel the ruling extreme right only wants Jew positive articles and stories and God forbid that another nationality would be allowed to have its own paper where Israel is criticised.

Each newspaper has an agenda behind it. Each newspapers boss has political outlooks. There is no one neutral newspaper. Any argument on this topic would be as farcical as arguing that beagles are better than doughnuts. People always chose whatever suits their political outlooks better and bash whatever they don't like.

Please, Anglo empire was equally cruel and "glorious". Not to mention Germanic empires, to put cross on myself.

But, let`s not about it. Poland anyway wants to form Intermarium. To escape from Anglo and Germanic maniacal ways. See, i am sure, mass media would be truly free in Intermarium. That would be land of free on the contrary to darkness of EU.

What about the "glory" of the democratic people's republic? Your rhetorical style would have fit in perfectly.

Here's another extreme story about the Kosher Kid (Michnik) warning against the PiS "velvet dictatroship" and Putineqsue rule under Kaczyński. I can quote rants on either side of ther barricade. So can you. Unlike the US, the PC mob has yet to take over in Poland and call the shots so it's still a free country.

Ok so. So you don't support a return to feudalistic times in Poland? (No Hayek road to serfdom)
So if things go the right wing conservative way, how do you envision Poland 25 years from now as opposed to Poland after 25 years of liberalism?

Poland after 25 years of liberalism,, The model is already its called great Britain today, some love it some hate it, bit like marmite.
