Pubs in Poznan kick out Roma

h

Fantastic! When I lived in Wroclaw I was appalled by the way in which these gypsies lived:

- discouraged their children from attending school (elementary school education is believed to be enough for gypsies)
- few speak Polish well (even though they've lived in Poland all their lives) and don't even have a written language of their own!

- encourage kids to beg for money in the rynek (pretend to be sick) and pickpocket tourists
- not interested in working (some of the better gypsies sell rugs)
- when not begging, they just sit around in the klatki (when it's cold/raining) or roll out their rugs in the podwórko and munch on sunflower seeds (leave the shells on the sidewalks for groundskeepers to mop up)

- collect welfare, demand (and get) free housing on the basis that they're "minorities who need to be protected"
- gypsies in wroclaw (that i unfortunately lived near for a little while) told me that they collect welfare cheques in Poland and Britain!! This is why they are nomads.

- dirty, disorganised, lazy lifestyles

I've asked many gypsies in Poland why they don't want to work and/or go to school - not a single one of them wanted to answer my question! They are nierobole by nature.

Gypsies are leaches - they take but do not give back. Imagine if we all did that?

Here is how they live in the CZ Republic:

Great idea. People like SeanBM will talk all day about how to appease these lazy buggers and how to gather money for these cunts. Harry will help Sean by calling anyone who doesn't want to throw tax payer money at gypsies so they can sit around doing nothing all day racists!

youz Normans are the blow ins compared to the Irish travellers, it's a question of timing :p

Yep,with hindsight and less falling down juice in me I feel a bit of a nob using "pikey"...tho I do save thhe right like Chris Rock does to use the N word when talking about specific F*$%in P!key$........especialy with my accent tha knows lad,eeh bah gum;

...
and don't even have a written language of their own!

Lols, says the man writing in Latin script.......in a language borrowed from dozens of other languages who speaks Polish,a sub language of Slavic, ultimatly leading back to Bulgaria...who genuinly do have a writen and spoken language of their own :)

They dont write stuff down in their own language, wow, maybe its the same reason they dont like teaching any outsiders their language....

I've asked many gypsies in Poland why they don't want to work and/or go to school - not a single one of them wanted to answer my question!

Yeah, sure you have :) Was that with a clip board in hand?
Yeah i have (minus the clipboard) because i've actually tried to understand these nierobole whereas duped brits like you just blindly throw money at them (which only rewards them for being lazy). You've probably never been to the rynek in Wroclaw because it is very common for these low lives to beg for money from people who are enjoying a pint outdoors. I never give them money, instead i try talking to them. In addition to that, i lived near a gypsy flat for a little while when i first came to wroclaw.

Ive never thrown money at anyone in my life you strange man....

You've probably never been to the rynek in Wroclaw

No,admitedly not had that "pleasure",normally either 30,000 feet above it or fast asleep driving past it....
Have had Roma hassling me for money though ,still, had more white Polish tramps and drop outs hassle me for money in Warsaw and Krakow than you canshake a stick at....One Roma and her daughter (?) did ask for money on a warsaw bus once,I refused, that same bus route later that day a chalky faced Polish kid tried dipping into my pocket....I guess "get the F**K off" when shouted is pretty universal.....

Maybe its simply "our" Romanys havent faced the level of hysterical persecution the mainland european Roma have ,at least in the last couple of hundred years. Some level of persecution yes but it would be like an american jew comparing 40s US anti sematisim to 40s german anti semitism...

You on social security too throwing mud from your ivory tower?

Nah, he's throwing mud from his Callan school ;)

(for what it's worth, in Wroclaw, there's far more problems with homeless Poles than any Gypsies)

Difference could be Poles are homeless in Poland...imagine Poles homeless, stealing and begging in Gypsie-land!

...oopsie..

The Polish homeless at least don't claim that their despicable behaviour is the expression of a "unique way of life" or an "ancient, misunderstood culture".

When they bother you for change, they usually just want a drink.

Gypsies (nb I've known a number of them personally) present a challenge for social liberals.

Gypsy culture ..... isn't. That is, it's not a potentially autonomous system, gypsies cannot set up their own society (because there's too many necessary things that gypsy culture won't let them do) they have to live in someone else's culture (a host society).

While they're quick to complain about discrimination (and have suffered from discrimination) they're unwilling to actually do anything that their host cultures value.

Gypsies openly disparage education and hard work and don't have any qualms about victimising non-gypsies (they're somewhat more ethical with each other). I know they're victims at some level but they seem okay with that. Certainly more okay with that than with getting an education and skills and not depending on outsiders to maintain them.

Notably in a special recently shown on Polish tv about gypsies in Slovakia they were quick to complain about a lack of government support but (despite a few complaints about lack of jobs) did not address the fact that they're unsuited to most work (any work where you need the formal education they despise) and mostly don't have any skills that are needed by anyone. They didn't complain about a lack of schools or job training, it was all 'give us, give us, give us or who knows what we'll do'

The overl sefl-righteous, like Harry, tend to overlook the realities of gypsy existence in favor of vague calls for tolerance (or self-righteous posturing).

Work in the modern world tends to be boring. I envy the Gypsies laying about. Whats with the Protestant Work Ethic infecting a Polish discussion forum? Most of you sound like uptight petty bourgeois shopkeepers. I wish the Gypsies would turn the lot of you into werewolves for then you would be able to revel in the simple animal joys of life without caring about being goofy "productive" members of society.

Cause it created some of the most successful societies in world history?

And please, go find some gypsy and tell them that eating meat is dirty and disgusting brutality. I'd pay money to watch that.

Wow when a someone with a penny-pinching shopkeeper's mentality offers to pay money you know he means business!

I envy the Gypsies laying about.

I don't particularly. Most of them have diabetes, epilepsy, they are very often morbidly obese, and develop emphysema, heart disease, and similar fun problems in later life; to be frank, I thought they were pretending at first, but how long can you pretend to be diabetic or epileptic once doctors start sending you out for tests and scans? I guess their newly-acquired sedentary, urban lifestyle paired with teen marriages and early pregnancies cannot be too good for them. (Observations based on Polish Roma living in London).

Little problem with your theory would be that the Gypsies can only live that way because the bourgeois shopkeeper with their protestant work ethic provide their living.

Imagine we all would live like them....who would you beg for money, food and welfare then?

Somebody has to do the dirty, hard work to keep things going! And it's much more satisfying in the end when you see what you have done at the day's end...and at your life's end. Begging brings no pride nor dignity.

Most of them have diabetes, epilepsy,

Most Romani have epilepsy?! Will you just stop and listen to yourself for a moment? Either that or go get yourself a likeminded 'doctor' and conduct a few 'experiments' to find out more. Maybe Onkel Mengele can sow you up a nice pair of conjoined twins for your experiments.

Most Romani have epilepsy?!

Unfortunately it's true. They are a small ethnic group and seem to share a lot of illnesses. Either that, or they are absolutely freaking fantastic at pretending to have those illnesses, including the little kids. And Harry - it doesn't make them "worse" or anything. I was just pointing out that I don't envy them their life of leisure because they seem to be paying quite a heavy price for it, healthwise.

Unfortunately it's true.

The fact that you read it in a late 1930s German book about why certain groups should not be allowed to breed doesn't actually make it true. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Harry, you're awfully quick to condemn others, but what do you think Polish (or other) government policy towards gypsies should be?

Expressing envy for a leisurely lifestyle is not theorizing.

That is unfortunate. The Gypsies would surely benefit from following my dietary advice and thankfully mafketis has offered to fund this educational program.

???

I have not read this book, though you obviously have.
I have, on the other hand, met and interpreted for lots of Polish Roma in London over a period of several years. Young people and old, progressive and old-fashioned. Some nice, some downright nasty.

Statistics start to build up over time.
Many of them were obviously unwell - and you could see it run in families. Especially diabetes, with epilepsy unfortunately a close second. I have not met so many people officially diagnosed with those two illnesses in my life.

BTW - I have nothing against anyone having children (what you so inelegantly call "breeding"). I have a lot though against marrying off 16-year-old girls and expecting them to start having babies immediately.

Then this needs to be stopped ... as I said ... by use of strict measures and policies. Sometimes we must do it, whether they like it or not. For the common good of man! ... Yes ... at all costs.

I wish I could add powerpoint slides here. I once have a presentation/speech on it back in my club days. There was quite a roar of like minded folks ... many who are now in politics too :) ... its nice ... there are Polish in all fields with a new way of thinking. And I promise this will rise and this will spread! ... and this will grow and strengthen!

That's because there are more Poles in Poland than gypsies in Poland! On a per capita basis, gypsies are far more troublesome than Poles.

Love it ! :)

(Observations based on Polish Roma living in London).

made while working for the Met Police, ahem, acording to my mates in the UK police you're verging close to breaking a sh1t load of laws here M'.....(just a warning,I dont agree with half of what you say but you're entitled to your opinions.)

...you could take the mainland ones too...win-win for all! :)

Weve a few of them here now too....colourfull skirts and pretty headscarfes...the women are bit less presentable though ;)

I don't envy them their life of leisure because they seem to be paying quite a heavy price for it, healthwise.

This is fact, Gypsy radio (yes,it exists here in the midlands..) had a programe on this, really terrible levels of health in "our" gypsy and traveller communities(pre arrival of Roms' er,Rom's),very similar to your average Glaswegian...

Never mentioned police stations. It must have been someone else. Community interpreting =/= police interpreting.
