Public trust in Polish state TV drops

Public trust in state owned TV as a news source has dropped significantly, now it is controlled by the PiS junta. Meanwhile, most Poles now prefer the independent TVN and TVN24.

Impossible to be surprised by that finding. It's also interesting to see that in 2012 30% of people thought that TVP favoured the government and 44% thought it was impartial. Now 64% of Poles think that TVPiS favours the government and only 21% say it is impartial.

It's actually completely blatant, and one of the reasons that Poland no longer has a truly free media.

Theres too much German control in polish media.. Some 2/3 of tv stations in pl are foreign owned. Not saying they should all be polish owned but a more a healthy mix. Id like to see more Polish media by polish people for polish people. Also polish movies could use some revamping I haven't seen anything good since psy 2 and my favorite polish movie chlopaki nie placza

Those polls say nothing about trust but about whom the named TV stations support. Color coded, red groveremnt, yellow opposition (yuck) or green independent.
TV state is governmental TV by definition, so it is no brainier. What is interesting is this that less and less people are being fooled by the foreign or commie owned media.

Right now in Poland, yes. Most countries' state TV has a degree of independence.

At least most people here are aware of the situation and prefer the independent TVN and Polsat.

As the graph above shows Pole knew in the past that TVP was relatively unbiased and they know now that TVPiS is little more than a media arm of the PiSlamic State which reports only the false claims that the Dear Leader First Secretary Kaczynski wants them to know about, much like Radio Maybach.

Although to give credit where it's due, at least TVPiS's airtime isn't used to broadcast appeals for the stupid to donate money to fund the lifestyle of everybody's favorite Maybach owner, 'Father' Rydzyk.
