The snapshot you have shown on the video is a typical propaganda production: let's keep that still smile for - how many, 9 seconds or so? - and then follow it by the rhetorical question "Do you want such president?".

Yes I have-the cross before the palace crowd for instance. Poland is the crossroad of east and west, and sadly this type of "eastern" behavior, just like the behavior of booing when commemorating the Warsaw Uprising, is an example of the eastern strand of Polish politics typified by the behavior of PIS types. It is sad fact of Polish political life that I have been acclimatized to. Hopefully with time the more western Poland becomes the less evidenced will such behavior become. btw Tusk's English was not spontanous it was a carefully prepared performance and I excuse Kaczyński for laughing at Tusk I would laugh at Tusk myself in this situation

It was absolutely unnecessary in this situation and was done only to stress that Tusk can speak English, whereas clearly he cannot. All this silly games just show what kind of people they are.

No wonder that LK laughed, yet what have media done about all that bundle- focused on LK laughing as there were something wrong with it!

If this is a case - what's wrong with that? Many speakers prepare their speeches beforehand, reading them several times - in their own native language - to the mirror or to family members. Good for him if he employed a tutor just for that. At least he was not the embarrassment, Lech Kaczyński was.

Early on, during Solidarność days, Lech Kaczyński was given a chance to participate in an English language course, organized by BBC, but he cancelled his participation - explaining it by "the flood of activities and duties". By the way, the first lady, Dr Komorowska speaks English. With me only spoke Polish, however at the gathering where we met there were a number of dignitaries from the Arab world present and I heard her speaking English with reasonable ease.
