And recording sexual abuse or threats is a tad..erm...to late!

Actually it would be a good opportunity to get rid of him for good if he is such a bastard!

Why do you assume all is peachy? Because the father is polish??

maybe parents had issues, you don't and I don't know!

What the heck does he want to tell them nobody else should know???

Could be easy to find it out !
but no!, there is the case and suspicions, now!

Well....as childrens are concerned any doubts and suspicions should be acted upon...
Better wronging the father than letting the children getting hurt.

you don't and I don't know!

That's all there is! The short and fitting summary to a difficult affair...better than crying "racism" again!

period

If there serious probability of that happening, there should have provided interpretor or recorded what he was saying, if they would have found out the he was doing something wrong, they could use it as a evidence to take away his rights as a father.

Alright, so I'm a Jewish guy married to a Pole. Divorce my wife after sharing some words (I just happened to find another couple of beautiful Polish women to sleep with)... I get supervised visits. Some old bureaucrat has to monitor my conversations because they think that I might be trying to talk sh*t to the kids and possibly planning on taking them out of the country. Should a Hebrew interpreter be provided in my little village for our supervised visits?

Alright, so I'm a Jewish ... Should a Hebrew interpreter

Well most Jewish people don't speak Hebrew and a lot of Hebrew speakers are not Jewish in any real (religious) meaning of the word, but assuming you're a Hebrew speaking Israeli yeah, it's the responsibility of the government that wants to monitor your conversation to providefind interpreters to do so. That's a basic tenet of European law.

There are cases when an individual is initiating contact with a government authority where that's not the case, but in adversarial, government initiated contexts, the burden of crossing language barriers is on the government not the individual.

The German Jugendamt's refusal to adhere to this basic principle is possibly one of the reasons it has such a bad record with the ECHR.

The main responsibility of the Jugendamt is the welfare of the child, period!

If the father seems to see the language question more important than to be able to embrace his children then they are fully right to be suspicious!

Especially as there is NO language problem as the father AND the children are fluent in german..

this isn`t shame only for Germany but on the first place for EU.

See, EU isn`t West for me. Poland is my West and no chance that i change that stance, no matter all pro-EU propaganda.

to put cross on myself, i hope God would save Serbia from EU. Primitive, primitive and backward that EU. No wonder that our Slavic ancestors considered Germanics (Nemci) as mute people.

You are crazy...you don't count! ;)

i hope God would save Serbia from EU.

Nah...Serbs can't wait to be assimilated by the germanic EU! :)

No wonder that our Slavic ancestors considered Germanics (Nemci) as mute people.

Before or after they were Germanized by this mysterious Germans who themselves were proto-Slavs before they were germanized by these mysterious Germans who themselves were....and so on, and so on, and so on.

Primitive, primitive and backward that EU.

No, waging wars on your neighbours, massacring thousands of innocent ppl, building concentration camps is much more civilised.

It's not a shame for Germany, nor for the entire EU, this case. It's just common sense. Who knows what he says to those kids? They have to be protected and I personally don't believe that he is better capable to express himself in a language he spoke for a few years as a young boy than a language he has spoken for 30 years of his life. Nobody can be that ignorant as to where languages are concerned. If you're 30 when you come to Germany and that's about 20 years ago, I can understand that, but in this case I can't.

>^..^<

M-G (but what has Crow's entry to do with a father who can see his kids only supervised?)

I have stopped reading this a long time before it reached nonsense levels and may repeat someone's else opinion. But basically, there is an old Roman sententia:

"When in Rome, live like Romans". Whatever is the law, follow it. If you don't like it, one can nowadays purchase tickets online to places where it may suit one better. So what the big deal? No money for a ticket?! People who cannot become a healthy part of society after 30 years should be deported with no right of coming back ever.

I think from the Polish point of view the critical issue is this:

The father wants his children to speak and understand Polish (and so he wants to use that language with them as much as possible).

The German government (which doesn't have a good track record of respecting Polish) wants to prevent this.

You can argue wheher or not that's the real intention of the Jugendamt, but that's the practical effect - a parent not being able to naturally pass on his language to his children.

I doubt if a German parent in a similar situation would be happy if the Polish government seemed to be taking steps to prevent their child from speaking German. (If that's happened then the Polish government would also be in the wrong and I'd be critical of it).

There are to few Germans wanting to immigrate into Poland to compare..yet...maybe that will change over time!

That seems to be a common consensus among the posters here. There is lots of estrogen in MareGaea' writings (not that it's a bad thing).

Gastarbeiters in Poland

Overheard in a bar: "It's alright if the Germans come in, just as long as they're not Turks".

What a crazy world.

Back to "Jugendamt".

Jugendamt was creation of Adolf's bureaucracy but to call it a Nazi-nightmare is demagogy pure.
Denazification of Trizone (the old Bundesrepublic) was quite successful (on the contrary to so called German Democratic Republic where part of the Nazi-structures was peacefully reshaped to be in service of the workers and kolkhosnicks' state) .

Jugendamt is rather similar to Scandinavian structures with all their advantages and idiocies.
Not as bad as you try to portrait it but sometimes it's not easy to cut through the red tape and bureaucratic nonsense there.

The real troublemakers - Turks, Roma, Arabs are taboo to Jugendamt so in order to show activity they are looking for easy victims like Poles.

No political correctness necessary, no racism involved but nice language related communication's problems

Point

no. They fight over children, what is terrifying as it is. And all that under supervision of German state, for selfish German greedy interests. Plus, all that in EU which just proves how is EU incompetent or maybe even support germanization of Poles (Slavs)

You wouldn't get supervised visits just for divorcing your wife. To have supervised visits imposed you need to present a significant risk to the well-being of your children. Simply having convictions for violence against women and children is not enough.

it's the responsibility of the government that wants to monitor your conversation to providefind interpreters to do so. That's a basic tenet of European law.

Firstly, the German authorities don’t give a flying fcuk about his conversations: they need to know what the children are saying and what is being said to the children. Secondly, Poland is quite happy to give crucial legal documentation to foreigners and provide no translation. Why not whine about that instead?
