Krzysztof Jackowski has no doubts that the winner of the 2010 presidential election in Poland will be Komorowski. But he says that this election will be the beginning of the end of Platforma Obywatelska.

In December 2009 he said in an interview for TVN that the two main candidates for the election "will not be those whose names are heard most often".

This was judged almost absurd at the time when the two most probable candidates were Donald Tusk and Lech Kaczyński.

In February 2010 the clairvoyant was visited by Andrzej Lepper who wanted to know if the winner o the election would be Lech Kaczyński. "I told him of my vision of the acting president as a lying and sleeping man". Jackowski says he was indicating a crash of a plane or planes over Ukraine in the not-too-distant future as early as in 2009.

The clairvoyant says that "two things having an unfavorable impact on the Polish economy will happen in the second half of 2010". Also, the condition of the zloty will not be good. As a result, the PO will loose support of the voters and Jarosław Kaczyński will strengthen considerably his position as leader of the opposition.

Come on, you don't really want to believe what quacks like that have to say? These guys have been unmasked so many times, it's a shame they still practice anyway. In hindsight it's always easy to mark certain remarks as prophecies or truthsayings, but that's only interpreted from within a certain mindframe and therefore it will always be correct. A bit like the horoscopes: they are so general, everybody will recognise sth of himself in it.

And besides, it's more psychology than anything else. What these guys study most is the way they ask you questions and how to observe your reaction to it. Any prediction you receive from a guy like that you have basically given yourself. Have you ever been to a "paranormal fair"? I did once, because a friend wanted me to come. It's a disgrace to see all these guys clutched together: on this table handreadings, on the next table cardreadings, at the third table clairvoyance...And it's all about the money. Don't fall for that nonsense.

When I was 19 and and studying I worked on a chat line part time - a "mystic" one :D I once told a man (yeah, believe it or not loads of men used to ring, usually asian and wanting to know if their arranged marriage would work!) he would only find true love with another man - cruel I know, but I thought it was funny :D If people are stupid enough to believe then they deserve to be told a load of bullshyt!

True. It's like those Nigerian 419 scams. If ppl are stupid enough to buy that bullcrap, they deserve everything what happens to them. Same goes if you're stupid enough to believe this "mystic" nonsense.

Beware! This is actually a very cruel and touching story, but it's a true one and should serve as example for anyone who is contemplating the help of one of them charlatans:

About 10 years ago in NL there was a woman on tv who wanted to know what happened to her daughter, who had disappeared without a trace a couple of years before that. She was really at the edge of a nervous breakdown (understandable). Enter a famous Dutch (or American, can't remember) psychic. In footage shown you could see how the psychic talked to the woman at home and how the woman showed the psychic pictures of the daughter. On one of them she was seen handling a dog.
It ended with, and I remember to this day, the last words of the woman to the psychic "pls help me, pls. My daughter is the only one in this life that I have left (her husband had died some time after the daughter had disappeared) and if you tell me she is dead, I have no reason to live anymore."

Enter showhost who invited the woman on stage and after that enter the same psychic as seen before in the footage. The psychic took the woman's hand and got "visions" after a short while and rapped about how sorry he was, but that her daughter was dead, killed by a "passing stranger" and buried under some bushes. He got visions of a Rhododendron. Also he got visions of a dog. The woman, in tears, confirmed that her daughter was very fond of dogs and thanked the psychic for the security he finally had given her.

Three days after the show was over, the woman committed suicide. A week after the show the showhost told the audience that they had received a phone call from a woman abroad who claimed to be the daughter of the woman in the show. She had run away from home to start a new life and so on. The identity was confirmed that this was indeed the daughter of the woman. But the woman committed suicide, believing her daughter wasn't alive anymore. When confronted later on with this, the psychic just laughed. Needless to say he has become persona non grata in NL ever since. With a flat face he just said: "well, sometimes I am wrong, hahaha, it happens." You could see the interviewer get stunned and then get angry. If I were the reporter I would have punched him so hard in his face that he would not awake for a few hours.

This is just an advise never to go to those charlatans.

Jackowski has been clairvoying (is that the word?) for decades. Back in hte 80s a family of two boys who had vanished approached him. The police had dredged a lake where the boys had been swimming but found nothing. Withouhgt leaving his home, Jackowski told the parents to have the poice check out the other end of the lake. Sure enough - the two bodies were soon recovered. Most of Jackowskis other predictions have come true. Whether he possesses powers of clairvoyance or these were all coincidences and lucky guesses - who is to say?

It gets rather easy when you know that opposite of every correct guess there are dozens of failed guesses. But that's not what worries me, what worries me is that those individuals often haven't got a clue about the pain and misery they create with the family members of the missing person. By simply saying he was murdered, they cause much harm to the relatives, especially when it turns out that the person is still alive or that it was an accident.

Anybody can be a clairvoyant. As long as you have the power to actually listen to what ppl say and carefully can observe the person as he or she always will give clues that you're in the right direction. It will give you handles as to which direction your questions need to go. And if you are in the wrong direction, you can quickly mumble sth about different visions or sth.

At the above mentioned "paranormal fair" I did a trick with one of them. It was only 5 guilders, so what the heck. I just sat there and asked him to tell me about myself. I didn't give him any clue with facial expressions and he started and he twisted and turned and in the end all info he gave me was wrong. Also, all the guesses were wrong. This is just to show that in fact all the advice and tips the clairvoyant gives you in fact you give yourself.

In the case of the drowned boys: somebody must have told him that the police didn't look in a certain corner of the lake, otherwise he would not have given that advice. Why would they skip that part of the lake? I don't think that lakes in Poland are that huge that they don't manage to cover the whole area in a day or two. But how big do you think the odds are that when two kids go out for a swim and don't return home at all, that they may have been drowned? 50 per cent I say. The other 50 per cent could be that they ran away from home. But given the fact that kids really don't run away that frequently from home without being found somewhere or returning home within 24 hours it's a very safe guess that the kids would have been drowned or otherwise killed.

Just as you, MareGaea, I am deeply sceptical about paranormal phenomena. I usually dismiss them, never read any horoscopes and never believe people who say having seen ghosts. Yet Jackowski is different. He is not the one receiving "patients" and telling them their future and fate for money. He is known in this country for having cooperating with the police several times in hopeless cases of finding missing bodies of victims. The police would not officially confirm to the press and other media his successes in giving them most accurate clues as to where the bodies were, yet he says he collects official acknowledgements from them he demands and receives from the police after each case.

He says he can usually "operate" after having been given a belonging of the victim or a photograph of him/her. He maintains that every living soul leaves "traces" on objects they touch which he is able to "see", and that those traces are somehow "linked" to the victim after their death. He also says that many of his visions are "wrong", but much more of them are accurate.

Still, associating Preident Kaczyński with a plane crash anywhere - Russia, Ukraine, Nigeria - is really quite a feat. Clairvoyants (not the many fakes but those who really possess a certain sensitivity) rarely get things right down to the exact place and minute, but how many people would even have such things cross their mind?

BTW do you entirely dismiss Nostradamus?

Since my original thread of July 1, 2010: "Clairvoyant Krzysztof Jackowski tells the political future of Poland" has been attached to this one here [Thread attached on merging - see my post 66], I would now like to suggest to the moderators to divide it back again since the discussions that followed the said post 66 did not center on the political future of Poland at all, but continued to discuss clairvoyant Krzysztof Jackowski and prophecies in general (dismissing them as rubbish altogether). And I am going to develop the subject even further now.

If you look back at post 66, you will see I quoted Krzysztof Jackowski as saying in 2009 of a plane or planes crashing over Ukraine in not-too-distant a future. At that time (April 2010) people had dug up this vision of his and connected it to the crash of the Polish presidential plane with president Lech Kaczyński on board in Smoleńsk. But Smolensk is Russia, not Ukraine. Andrzej Lepper who went to the clairvoyant in 2009 to ask him if the acting president Lech Kaczyński would win the presidential election of 2010 got the following response:

Clearly, Jackowski seems to have had two separate visions, one of the lying and sleeping president and another one of the plane(s) crash over Ukraine. In April 2010 when the plane crashed in Smolensk (Russia) people (including perhaps the clairvoyant himself) were tempted to join one vision with the other, just thinking that Jackowski missed his geographical location by some hundred miles or so (Russia instead of Ukraine). But with the shooting down of the Malaysian passanger plane MH17 over Ukraine on the 17th of 2014, one may see his prophecies in a different light now. What is more to it, a Ukrainian military aircraft, the SU-25 M1 was shoot down over Ukraine shortly before that, on the16th of July at 19:00 hours. [Jackowski says he was indicating a crash of a plane or planes over Ukraine]. No other plane crashed in Russia or Ukraine on the 10th of April 2010 or the day before or after it.

There's a certain irony in the fact that poster calling himself MareGaea, one who was dismissing the abilities of clairvoyants the loudest in this thread, comes from the Netherlands, the country which had a lion share of the life lost in the crash of MH17 flight (193 out of 298).

I think you may mistake prophesies for simple guesses or predictions based on some kind of analysis. A true prophesy must have a sort of a vision (or some kind of a particular feeling) behind it, just like seeing "a sleeping or lying man", but not being able to tell: "I can see him dead since he is in a plane that crashes over Smolensk". Have you had any of them even in a vague way? If so, why not share them with others on the PF? Let's hope the forum will exist in the next five years, so people will be able to confront them with real facts.

I've never had any such and I'm usually extremely sceptical about them. When I see a prophecy, my usual thoughts is not to believe it. But I wouldn't be so brave as to exclude a priori any "paranormal" forms communication which is unknown to modern science. Remember that in the world of physics there are particles whose behaviour is still described as strange.

I agree. I believe science will eventually be able to explain many weird phenomena. Could ghosts be poking through space-time? In an infinite universe, anything is possible. No, my scorn is directed at charlatans who manipulate, frighten and defraud people through magic tricks masquerading as supernatural or divine powers. Anyone can appear to go into a trance and talk crap. Just to prove it, I'm now entering a trans-like state and, guided by my Red Indian/Native American spirit guide, I'm going to make some predictions.

1. In the not-too-distant future (which gives me 5 years' leeway) a plane will crash in....er...Spain.
2. In the.......future a prominent European politician will be assassinated.
3. ITNTDF an earthquake will occur in S.E. Asia, with much loss of life.
4. ITNTDF a terrible train crash will happen in Germany.
5. In the next two months there will be a school shooting in the USA.

That's interesting. Thank you for that. But I guess these are just guesses based on the actual rational observations of the world. I would also agree that such observations may eventually influence someone's "visions", if they have them, as well. Did you have any "visions"?

I understand you predict that one of them (that is one in five) will materialize in the next five years which may be judged a good result.
