whatever source i read this morning, in polish, said the government wont give numbers. im not sure how a new source of gas definitely will lower prices. the article said that poland was looking into a long-term deal at higher prices. signing a contract that locks you into high rates seems stupid
Trump will hold Poland up as an example for other nations to follow

Trump's visit to Poland
Addrsssing a cheering, flag-waving crowd chanting "Donald, Donald", the US Chief Executive gave a rousing speech to Poles gathered in Krasiński Square. It was the msot por-Poloish speech ever given by an American president in Poland
"The triumph of the Polish spirit over centuries of hardship gives us all hope for a future in which good conquers evil and peace achieves victory over war," Trump said. "The story of Poland is the story of a people who have never lost hope, who have never been broken and who have never, ever forgotten who they are."
In a clear warning to Moscow Trump said: "The United States has demonstrated, not merely with words, but with its action, that we stand firmly behind article five, the mutual defence commitment," Article 5 of the NATO charter states that an attack on one alliance member is na attack on them all.
He praised Poland for spending the required two percent of GDP on defense and urged other NATO members to follow suit. But he added: "Money alone is not enough, there must also be the will to survive." That veiled criticism was directed at Western Europe's liberal elites which seem to have lost their will to defend their civilization in the face of the alien forces out to destroy it.

Lying as always.
articles.latimes.com/1997/jul/11/news/mn-11735
"Never again will your fate be decided by others," the president continued. "Never again will the birthright of freedom be denied you. Poland is coming home."
In the crowd, some held Polish flags and some, American flags. One banner read "Thanks, Bill!" Another simply declared "America!"
Jurkiewicz, 41, who speaks little English, shouted over the crowd as best he could, "Thank you very much!" as the president promised never to abandon Polish security interests or Poland's nascent democracy.
That certainly seems very pro-Poland

Let's not forget the most powerful words spoken by Trump today:
We are also pleased that former President Lech Walesa, so famous for leading the Solidarity Movement, has joined us today, also.
@DD
"Let's not forget the most powerful words spoken by Trump today:"
Sorry Hater, Try this on for size!
And today as ever, Poland is in our heart, and its people are in that fight. Just as Poland could not be broken, I declare today for the world to hear that the West will never, ever be broken. Our values will prevail. Our people will thrive. And our civilization will triumph.
So, together, let us all fight like the Poles -- for family, for freedom, for country, and for God."
Well said, Mr. President!

Just like in Yalta, right? Hot air as always from Mr. Trump.
Trump hit a home run in Warsaw. I am so proud of everyone
Well said, Mr. President!
and only several times repeated genocide on Serbians in this century was necessary so that are all one big happy family. Only that? Well, then. We naive now understand wisdom of Pavelic
Should I understand that this way?
Hot air as always from Mr. Trump.
Poland would have never welcomed Hillary Clinton in this grandiose manner, speaking of hot air:)

I stopped paying attention to your incoherent ramblings years ago, figure it out for yourself.
Isn't there a Serbian forum you can go spam or can't they afford to build one yet, or is it nobody cares?
P.S. You should stop letting DD trick you into being his puppet, looks bad upon you.
The meeting between Trump and Putin will be very interesting now. I just hope Trump remembers what he said and Warsaw and doesn't somehow end up selling Eastern Europe to Russia.... .
most powerful words
Most powerful? A courtesy greeting extended to Szydło, Wałęsa, Duda and others. Trump seemed surprised that there were no ovations when he greeted Wałęsa. When Wałęsa and other pro-PO haters appeared on the scene, there was booing, whislting and shouts of "Bolek". The Polish people know who is who.
Most powerful?
More signifiant was his admonitoin to a fat, flabby, hedonistic and emasculated PC Europe which lacks the will to defend its civiisation and survive.
The highpoint of Trump's visit was the keynote speech he delivered at Warsaw's Krasiński Square in front of a monumental memorial to the 1944 Warsaw Uprising against the German occupiers. Trump focused on Poland's turbulent history, its partitions, invasions and foreign occupations. "I am here today not just to visit an old ally but to hold it up as an example for others who seek freedom and who wish to summon the courage and the will to defend our civilisation." In a rousing address frequently interrupted by cheers he added: "The triumph of the Polish spirit over centuries of hardship gives us all hope for a future in which good conquers evil and peace achieves victory over war." He added: "The story of Poland is the story of a people who have never lost hope, who have never been broken and who have never, ever forgotten who they are."
I just hope Trump remembers what he said
I doubt he intellectually grasps the speeches he reads out.

Trump seemed surprised that there were no ovations when he greeted Wałęsa.
Clearly nobody had told him that the crowd had had to be bussed in just as crowds needed to be bussed in back when the Party was the PZPR rather than PIS and the regime was led by a First Secretary of the Party with a name other than Kaczynski.
Sad to see so many people still can't get over the fact that heroes such as Walesa stood up to the commies while they collaborated with the commies, just as Kaczynski and our 'Polish' friend did, or at best cowered in the shadows.
Nothing wrong with a bit of nationalistc freedom speech. The gas is good i think for anti blackmail energy for Poland. Its also better than coal and actually makes usa money. That workd both ways. More trade with usa can be good for both also. I've been crapping on about it for years. After lng i want more business deals.

I'm not sure Poland is in any danger of having gas turned off unless the govt keeps provoking Russia. Trump says he supports NATO but I think everyone should that politicians don't always do what they say. The deals do indeed look good for America, but for Poland? More trade would be good but so far it seems like a one-way deal.

Why would Norway turn off gas supplies to Poland just because PIS's morons keep provoking Russia?
stood up to the commies
..And later threw in with the crooks who have bled Poland to line their pockets.
Never forget it was your bugbear Macierewicz who set up KOR and left only after Michnik's neo-Trotzkyites took over. And it was the Kazcyńskis who "made" the Wałęsa preisdency against the Jewboy mafia that did everything to discredit him even though his collabroation as a TW was not widely known at the time. Rather than standing for the presidency, the KOR mob broadly hinted that Wałęsa had done his thing and now could go back to Gdańsk and stay there. The isinuation was that he's too stupid to rule, that's the job for "enlightened" pro-KOR-ite elites, and only their compliant candidate, commie collborator, Mazower, er, um, I mean Mazowiecki, deserves to be "their" president.
You may have read about this in some leftist rag, but I was actually there covering it for the PolAm press and a major news agency.
just as crowds needed to be bussed in
You always dig up remote and irrelevant comparisons. You should have typed: Just as crowds needed to be bussed in by Schetyna for the million people he hoped would take part in a PiS-bashing demo. That incidentally was a total flop!

I do so love it when, just like Trump, you can't even get your lies straight enough that they don't contradict each other. If crowds are bussed in, an event can't be a total flop. As was demonstrated yesterday. Although what really made the event was the epic shade pani Duda threw.
I was actually there covering it for the PolAm press and a major news agency.
The people who worked at that agency would rate your statement as even less truthful than Trump's campaign pledge that Mexico will pay for the wall he'll have built.
The highpoint
Kennedy had his "Ich bin ein Berliner" and Reagan said: "Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall!!
Trump's historic exhortation in Warsaw was: LET THEM COME TO POLAND!
It was preceded by the words: "We can have the largest economies and the most lethal weapons anywhere on Earth, but if we do not have strong families and strong values, then we will be weak and we will not survive. If anyone forgets the critical importance of these things, let them come to one country that never has. Let them come to Poland!"
Serbian media giving bigger attention to Duda`s wife Agata then to Duda. Agata is praised for ignoring Trump and instead offerred her hand to Trump`s wife Melania first.

Maybe because official Poland stays closer to Germany then Norway, so it upsets Norway.
Thank you so much man. Please, continue to do so.
I figured it already. Its politics, old k***a. Polish leadership puts Germany above Serbia. One day, some other Polish leadership would put Serbia above Germany.

strong families and strong values, then we will be weak
I do love the irony of a man who has fathered at least five different children by at least three different women talking about families and values.
Respect to Trump`s wife or disrespect to Trump?
Neither. It's a simple breach of etiquette. There is always an order of precdence and a protocol in meetings and greetings of foreign dignitaries and their wives. This is the fault of the Polish diplomatic corps/senior civil servants who should have briefed the Dudas on the correct form. I'm no fan of the Dudas but Mrs Duda looks genuinely warm and friendly. I think she was just carried away with the excitement of the occasion and behaved a bit impulsively. I don't think there was any underlying agenda.
praised for ignoring Trump
And here I thought onyl the Anglo-a*sehole media were ignorant, but a fellow-Slav would have known about traditonal Polish chivalry and etiquette. Women are always greeted first whether by men or other women.
US-borm PolAms have already been bastardised by Anglo-influence and many come to Poland and visit long-lost relatives for the first time. The pushy Americana male sticks his hand out for it to be shaken and all he relatives make a beeline for the Missus with their hugs and triple-barrelled kises, Only then do they turn to the befuddled chauvinistic male.
simple breach of etiquette
No, she was just being a Polish lady. It is considered rude and vulgar for a Polish lady to greet a male before greeting his spouse. A knee-jerk reaction inculcated in Poles form birth.
Neither. It's a simple breach of etiquette. T
It's often impossible to be polite in two systems at the same time, greeting a woman first is perfectly in line with Polish etiquette. I'm not a fan of Dudowa either but she's not at fault here.
irony of a man
What about the iron of someone who prefers petting a cat to playing with his kids? You wouldn't know, but in Christianity there is always room for repentence and a retiurn to the straight and narrow.
