Here's yet another of the 'good' changes which the Party is bringing to Poland! As part of their drive to recreate the PRL but with a different Party and a different First Secretary of the Party, PIS have decided to take the education system back to the way it was in the PRL. That is against the professional opinions of the vast majority of professionals working in education, but it's what First Secretary of the Party Chairman Kaczynski wants, so it's happening. Unfortunately it means that hundreds of schools will be shut.
Unsurprisingly, closing those schools means that more than ten thousand teachers and other school staff will lose their jobs at the start of the next school year. And tens of thousands more will have their hours cut to part-time or need to work in multiple schools in order to have a full-time contract. Clearly dogma is more important to the PiSlamic State than education or jobs.
There's a rather biased article here: thenews.pl/1/9/Artykul/312573,Thousands-of-teachers-to-lose-jobs-teachers-union-head
The article doesn't mention the news that all directors and deputy-directors of all schools in Poland will need to reapply for their jobs, with predictable results.
