A Second Look at Poland's Future.

I have developed a keen interest in Polish politics. I was hoping that the fellow members of "Polish Forums" would be willing to share some of their concerns about the nation's future. It's pretty obvious that we're (as a nation) not going in the right direction. We need to put Poland back on track. Organizing ourselves in the Poland and abroad is key to making our future a success.

What makes you say that? What direction would you see Poland go in?

Clearly, you haven't watched any Polish news lately. Read a newspaper that isn't affiliated with government propaganda. Better yet, go to Poland and ask a bus driver with a master's degree in history about government. You'll know what I mean. You can't do anything with a nation that's split over key issues.

Last line of first post. Especially you-related. Polonia is all Poland's really got in terms of hope. With the older generations dying away. The youth has been brainwashed and assimilated to Americanism. Touché.

Interesting.I didn't notice.

Better yet, go to Poland

I live in Poland all my life and I still don't get what's your point

I assume he's talking about the PiS loonies.

All we have to do is wait, they will die off.

I have developed a keen interest in Polish politics.

Great! Welcome to the club!

I was hoping that the fellow members of "Polish Forums" would be willing to share some of their concerns about the nation's future.

I can`t share any concerns because I prefer to look on the bright side of life.

It's pretty obvious that we're (as a nation) not going in the right direction.

Who can say which direction is right?

Read a newspaper that isn't affiliated with government propaganda

Then, there is a great chance one will run into a newspaper filled with the opposition black propaganda.

Better yet, go to Poland and ask a bus driver with a master's degree in history about government.

Do you suggest that holders of degrees in history mustn`t be bus drivers?

Yes Kuba, those soviets should be eliminated form the Polish public life !

'Eliminated' is a very sinister word.

@Kuba TK, Poland gets on very well indeed without the presence of US Polonia who tend to have an overly romantic and often highly skewed idea of what the country is really like.

Eliminated' is a very sinister word.

Is it ?

Elimination, clearance of a drug or other foreign agent from the body
Elimination, the destruction of an infectious disease in one region of the world as opposed to its eradication from the entire world

Yes. It is. Capitalism alone never solved any problems. And meanwhile the Polish rich get richer (no problem for me on a selfish level, since I'm one of them, on paper at least) and the poor get poorer. Month on month I see more and more Poles begging on the streets of Warsaw and more and more homeless.

I don't suppose you notice, living so far away from Poland.

Well... over production of historians (and lawyers = young historians who were more lucky(?)) is an old and known sin of Polish higher education system...
That is why some of them must drive a bus or even worse! go into politics... ;-)

Is it possible for everyone to get rich just by working hard? Millions of people around the world work hard but few worldwide ever get rich from it. Is it really possible for everyone who wishes to be wealthy to become wealthy? These are challenges within the capitalstic system. Yes, we all want to work hard and be rewarded well, but is this really possible in the real world without hyper inflation? How is the government going to print enough money for everyone to acquire wealth. It simply isn't possible. It's not realistic. There will always be poor people no matter what.

That is not subject of the debate.
However there are poor and poor !

It concerns the political future of Poland so it is part of the debate. Fundamental questions need asking.

True. Poland, I beleive, is in the throes of its own growing pains. The debate must continue from which, hopefully, some answers will emerge.

Fundamental questions for Poland's future:
Organize of the country into local national manner or give in to global forces with global government, which means firstly playing role of the EU colony.

A chunk of Polish population opted for the last option, those not really attached to Polish culture and of opportunistic nature - Soviets - mentally left overs from the Soviet occupation.

Some are opting for the former hence hose divided in Poland.
It need to be mended first, you surly agree.
Unfortunately many voters are fooled that it is only about political debate.
