Indeed. The build quality of the 1970's/1980's building spree in Poland is far, far higher than the 1990/2000's flats.

I think Poland being a friend of America is a good thing, not getting involved in foreign wars, but just being an ally. One thing, i think America as such a large and wealthy country doesn't invest enough in Poland, much smaller nations have far more money invested in our country than the U.S

Things between Poland and the USA may change after this election, and we get a new congress, and after we rid ourselfs of this bad president we now have. We the Polish-Americans care for Poland and her people and want to help, whenever need be.

Poland was faithful American ally, taking part in both Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns
and was one of not many pro-American countries in the EU. However, Americans insulted
us on too many occasions for us to ignore it. They constantly keep showing their contempt
for us. Oh, well - not that it breaks my heart, but we should change our attitude too.

I won't even mention the missile shield and visas issues again, because we've talked about
it a hundred times - two major "F*ck you, Poland" gestures by USA, but let's take the 70th
anniversary of the outbreak of WW2, for example.
The ceremony at Westerplatte was very important for Poland. Germany sent their Chancellor
Angela Merkel and Russia their Prime Minister Vladimir Putin (there were 20 other Prime
Ministers present at Westerplatte, including those of France, Ukraine and Sweden.)
America said "F*ck you, Poland!", again, and sent some non-entity.

Some time later they sent their Vice President Joe Biden with an official visit to Poland.
He laid flowers under the Warsaw Ghetto heroes monument and promised to be present
at the opening of Jewish Museum that will take place in 2012. No flowers were laid under
any other Polish monument and no mention of visit to any Polish museum was made.
Of course, why bother with Polish, evil, anti-semitic animals? Only Jews in Polish history
matter for our American "friends" (as we are reminded every now and again, by American
congress :)) "F*ck you, Poland!"

I could go on like that and talk a little bit about contracts for Polish companies in Iraq
(yip, you guessed it - "F*ck you, Poland!") or the offset deal for the F-16s we bought
("F*uck you, Poland!"), but there's no point really. All we have to do is to FINALLY reply
to all this "F*ck you, Poland!"s with one, loud "F*uck you, America!"

By the way - the Plastics are complaining in another thread about some building, lightbulbs,
Pułaski - something like that. They consider it an insult to them. It is a 100% DILLIGAF case
for Poles in Poland, but it shows the American attitude - they even insult the Plastics!
They have a very special way of saying "F*uck you!" to their own feckin Poles! Hilarious :)

Most of this is true but no Americans are to blame but only the Poles since they let the CIA agents to run Poland.Poland doesn't need Americans for anything yet the treasonious "polish politicians" allow America to exploit Poland.Poland has never benefited from relations with the US and probably never will.

Poland isn't important to the US...even though they took in hundreds of thousands of Polish citizens. Poland is an economic and political minnow in the great game...it's no surprise that the US doesn't see Poland as priority one.

Wishful thinking of someone who obviously didn't make it in the US and goes back home. I bet all of the more successful Polish or Polish-Americans in the US, don't share your opinion.

The great game, that America is on the best way to lose, but that's not the subject
of this thread and I couldn't be arsed discussing it. I will just sit back, relax and watch

Yea it is a wishfull thinking at the moment but hopefully it will change rather sooner than later.Any Pole wishing for more US influence in Poland deserves to be shot.

Don't confuse not caring with insults. The US insulted the Japanese 60 years ago, they insult the Iranians, there were some insults towards Grenada. The US hasn't kicked out all those cabbage eaters from the US, so I figure we're still even somewhere.

Poland is, by and large, self-sufficient country. With farming capable of feeding
120 million people and a population of 37 million (on an area only slightly smaller
than Germany) we have a lot of potential for growth. We don't have to "go to"
anyone.


Oh, you meant that? Well, we had to choose one ally between Russia and Germany.
We chose Germany (not such an obvious choice, but a logical one in the end) and
we are allies now. Russia is not a threat to us.

I believe the answer will be China, India, Brazil, West Europe etc...

Poland can't punch very strong in international forums. Think two and three letter global organizations.
