I just heard it on the news. What exactly does it mean?
Apparently, Poland is the first and only country to reject it.

Because this medicine is unchecked, we dont want to take it.
Althought is there really pandemia of A/H1N1? I think not.

Old news... Basically it goes like this:
Those big international companies wanted to sell Polish gov, milions of vaccines. Our gov. look at their papers and said:
"wait the minute, it looks like you didn't checked it properly... hm... ok, situation is not rosy with this epidemic in Ukraine. Ok, ok, we (Polish gov.) will buy it, but you have to guarantee it [which means if somebody die/get ill because of it and sue us you (big pharma) will take the blame]"

- Big pharma said:
"no way, we have plenty of others gov. buying it without stupid questions"
and they said to themselfs...
"we have WTO in the pocket, we have army of good paid lobbists, we will break them, stupid little polish politicians..."

But, bad luck happend... Turn out that polish health minister is a tough little lady doctor who has some independent university advisors/professors, and this tough lady doctor got this enorumous pressure on her and said to big pharma "F..K OFF" :-)

It is the exact reason why it wasn't possible to buy this miraculous vaccine in the drugstores. Vaccine producers were afraid of lawsuits in case if something wrong happend.

Have you been vaccinated?

I just heard it on the news.

Do they deliver news to you by raft and then by mule?

This was interesting to me, as I remember doing some reading a while back about the over prescription of antibiotics here.

Poland is wise

i am from Serbia and i can confirm that my close friend almost died after received vaccine. Serbian governmant is correupted and puppet of EU magnates so our governmant regularly import all kind of rubbish into this NATO protectorate of Serbia and is even ready to sacrafice its own people

Glad to see that Poland has integrity

That swine-flu thing was a scam.

The flu is real enough; the vaccine is a scam.

Have you been vaccinated?

I haven't but Tamiflu is damn cheap. The British government are realising that they've lost over £1 billion by buying far more than they needed.

The whole pandemie thing is a hoax.

Oh yeah? So, why does my doctor have me come in weekly for prostate exams?

Actually, I'm not really a doctor, and there's no such thing as a Prostometer.

He's a minimalist and doesn't invest in a lot of equipment.

But for the serious readers, that was a real H1N1: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1918_flu_pandemic

Everybody is into me. That natural charm, you know. But I gotta go because my computer is acting up.

Poland stands alone in refusing H1N1 vaccine

The decision seemed fraught with risk: a government refusing to import swine flu vaccines amid worldwide warnings of a spreading epidemic.

But Poland did just that, becoming the only country worldwide known to reject the vaccines over safety fears and distrust in the drug companies producing them-concerns international health experts reject as unfounded.

Now that the current outbreak appears to have peaked in much of Europe, many Poles feel their government has been vindicated: Countries with large stockpiles often saw low public interest in the vaccines and face financial loss from unused doses now set to expire.

If EU (read British, Franch, German) farmaceutical companies offer vaccine for computer, Serbian governmant could buy it. That much our polliticians are corrupted (cooperative) and idiotic since 1999, after NATO conquored us

It's a good thing the Polish government rejected the phoney baloney vaccine. This is the first, and maybe only, time I've agreed with Kopacz.

Glaxo Smith Kline hardly have the best reputation for drugs, look at how many sued them because of seroxat, good on Poland, if they are confident that 1,000s are not going to die as a direct result of them not purchasing this drug...Which probably wont, its hardly the Spanish flu.

I was DIAGNOSED with H1N1. Got over it in a day (the worst of it, the remainder lingered, but was suppressed).

I took ELDERBERRY EXTRACT with echinacea & astragulus every other hour for a day. It didn't kill the virus. You can't kill a virus. It did suppress it so much that I just didn't get sick. You don't need the vaccine. You need elderberry extract, also known as Sambucus.

There is a decent PBS documentary for any flu freaks.

Personally, I am an Ebola man, and I recommend this book:

The Hot Zone is a best-selling[1] 1994 non-fiction bio-thriller by Richard Preston about the origins of incidents involving hemorrhagic fevers and both the Ebola and Marburg viruses.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hot_Zone

Very interesting reading. Vivid.

Apropos the book The Hot Zone:

In his blurb, Stephen King called the book, "one of the most horrifying things I've ever read."

Very probable. Today we know the decision not to buy foreign vaccines was one of good actions of Polish government at the time.

Kudos to the Polish! the Pandemrix H1N1 swine flu vaccine, which was made by British drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline in 2009 has been causing lots of kids sick (narcolepsy) in Europe. Nasty stuff not used in the US, thanks God!!! Here's what it's like to go thru:

"...is plagued by hallucinations and nightmares. When she wakes up, she's often paralyzed, unable to breathe properly or call for help. During the day she can barely stay awake, and often misses school or having fun with friends. She is only 14, but at times she has wondered if her life is worth living."

I'd be careful about anti-vaccination comments. About the same level of common sense and integrity as the anti-fluoridation nonsense.

anti-fluoridation

yea because putting a toxic chemical into the public water supply is a really really really smart idea.
Anyway, Poland doesn't do it.

oh right so i display a lack of sense and non-integrity by not wishing my daughter to be injected with experimental drugs in her school lunch hour? I seeeeeeee

(btw it is the hpv vaccine to which i refer)
as for the hn1 vaccine, someone is making a heap of cash out of it.

the hpv vaccine

I was referring to the MMR. Saved thousands of lives, and now middle-class kids are getting measles, mumps and rubella but are allowed in the same doctors' waiting rooms as people with weakened immune systems.
