Poland Parliamentary elections 2015

the migrant issue has hurt PO.

Oh definitely, PO's association with the EU and Merkel was absolutely toxic.

I think PiS might not be too bad if they can keep the old guard out and let the younger (comparatively) generation take over.

Dougpol1, not really dude, I don't care. You can badmouth elections all you want. It was Poles' choice.

I am a middle bracket taxpayer here of 23 years standing - you would know that if you registered and did your research. As such I probably have more right than you to comment.

Kaczyńskis and PiS are free to sign up with Kopacz's daughter to leave for greener pastures abroad.

Here's an offer. Move to Poland and live here! If you don't you don't really support PiS after all......

You don't even have right to vote...

So besides PiS, PO and Kukiz for sure, we don't know about the others to make it in Sejm?

@Gosc: since we don't have your id ;), can you tell us whom have you voted for? I read that JKM was a fan of .... Hitler .... True?

It can all change. The margin of error (sorry, i don't know how to write it in English) can be 2%. We know that, for sure, PiS, PO, Nowoczesna and Kukiz will get to Sejm. We have to wait until Tuesday to get the offical results.

I voted for Korwin. No, he's not a fan of Hitler. He talks about Hitler but he usually acusses others of being like Hitler :)

Korwin has 4,9%. It's very possible he will get to Sejm.

I am a middle bracket taxpayer here of 23 years standing - you would know that if you registered and did your research. As such I probably have more right than you to comment.

You just proved what I said before. You're so full of yourself that it hurts my eyes. You know nothing about me, but one thing that gives me "more right to comment" is that, unlike you, I am a native Polish. And you know what? I don't care what you are. It's the internet, easy to lie here, so nothing you say about yourself can be true.

I'll kind of regret voting for Kukiz instead of him...

I'm hoping that's a joke, the idea of anyone that spent more than 10 minutes listening to him voting for him is..... not reassuring.

@Maf: although the migrant issue has hurt PO, most Poles were fed up of PO (high unemployment in Polska B, low salaries, need to emigrate, lousy health services...) and most probably they have voted AGAINST PO rather than FOR PiS.

I personally don't expect anything from PiS but no difference as of tomorrow on as I did not get anything from PO either ;). "lol"

Fully agree with you. Personally I started thinking of PO as traitors after they voted for Ustawa 1066 and after they agreed to take illegal immigrants who are Germany's problem. Generally PO would do anythign that Germans say even if Poles don't agree. But I'm also not a fan of PiS but I prefer them instead of PO.

That too, but there's basically nothing PiS can do to improve those situations. PO was complacent and lazy (like any long ruling party) so a change is on schedule but PiS's economic policy is voodoo and smoke and mirrors and is bound to fail.

If you want to create jobs, look at countries that are good at creating jobs and try to figure out how they do it. What country in western europe is good at creating jobs?

Is everyone expecting the Polish Zloty to take a hammering tomorrow morning?

zloty weakening is very good news to me and the whole economy I believe

I don't need help from Polish government (whoever they are) why do you?

Neither do I.

But PIS harasses small business. 3 audits in 2 years. Nothing found, but a lot of aggravation, and they are generally unfriendly to business in their attitude and governance. I HATE the *******.

Nothing found,

well if I recall correctly you don't pay ZUS - some goverment agenda might get interested

ou don't even have right to vote...

More right than you after living here and contributing to your country for 23 years.

YOUR country.

MY vote.

But I doubt your intellect is up to that thinking.

@Dougpol: you know, we foreigners (athough sometimes not easy) have the choice to get out if we don't like it. I did not get anything from PO and shall not get anything from PiS so for me no difference. Anyhow, we are not colonialists and won't tell Poles how to run their country.

I DON'T pay ZUS. It is totally legal. There is NO requirement for a foreign natinal to pay ZUS unless he is running a business. I don't. Other people run them. And I work for them. Difficult to prove otherwise. I checked with three different lawyers.

Next question please teenager?

we are not colonialists and won't tell Poles how to run their country.

Nonsense - I Pay tax here and paid ZUS for 23 years.

Of course I have a voice. Please behave.

Oh dear, looks like some people here won't be happy. Perhaps it's time to leave Poland?

Magnificent exit poll result for PiS by the way.

biggest support outside of Poland

So did PiS. They regularly get 60-65% support in Chicago or twice what they used to get in Poland itslef. Now don't be surprised if they get 80-85% from our ever-loyal Polonia! Long live PiS! Long live Polonia! Niech żyją nam!

@Dougpol: I do pay tax too (and don't mind because I think it's normal) but when I talk about "colonialism", I refer to telling Poles that they are "wrong" and that they should have voted X or Y". If someone were telling me this about elections at home, I would tell them to f... off. PiS have won because most Poles have decided so and that's it. No need to have a fit! We'll survive ;)

@Pol: I read that only 27,000 PolAmericans were registered voters in the US. Anyway, I am against people voting whereas they don't live in country (sometimes have not even set a foot in it and barely speak the language).

That's it: (very low) turnout 51.6%

As mafketis mentioned this is not any lower than usual.

Oh dear, looks like some people here won't be happy. Perhaps it's time to leave Poland?

No - ZUS are going to have to pay out for me - after 20 plus years I qualify for the low band, and you can be sure I will make them pay up. My family also own half of Dabrowa Gornicza. I am looking forward to my retirement - when I am 70 plus - because I am active and love my work.

Unlike the police and the miners..........................

@Wielki: if not unusual, one needs to admit that it's very low and therefore even those who win don't represent much ;).

No need to have a fit! We'll survive ;)

NO - fight them, every step of the way. That's what I pledge to do. I remember what my wife had to suffer through sleepless nights, because of their harassment and endless audits.

They are SCUM.

@Wielki: if not unusual, one needs to admit that it's very low and therefore even those who win don't represent much

Perhaps but this could be said for previous years too, not just now when PiS have won. I think if you looked at the voting percentage in other countries you'd find somewhere around 50% is the norm. I'm not saying that's good but it is how it is.
InPolska  9 | 1796
25 Oct 2015 /  #895
@Wielki: Absolutely! WHOEVER wins when 50% people don't bother to vote does not represent much. This is so for everybody and for whatever country. Politicians should be concerned about half of voters not voting. If people don't vote it's because they are not satisfied with politics and politicians in general.

PS as to PIS and their mantra, which people will now get to re-live:

At one time my wife and I employed 30 plus teachers. Thirty. You would think the government would have awarded us some business grants, or some business help of some sort, or in true Polish style, given us a medal.

Instead we got 3 audits in 2 years, and never-ending harassment. We must be rich!!! And where is the the money? And After PIS, and then PO, one audit in 6 years.

Not difficult to work out the suspicion factor in those scumbags, and all the time I was driving a 6 year old car. Fools, and now they are back running the asylum. It doesn't take a genius to realise that they will drive businesses to the wall.

As I said, this a dark day for all of us who have to live here. Conversely, Polonius and Wulkan don't live here and so have no voice.

At

Stop writing this nonsense in here. You are embarrassing yourself, as for your comments about Poles and Poland, those are unacceptable only some low life would badmouth in this way people of his host country. Furthermore your sense of entitlement is simply ridiculous.

Instead we got 3 audits in 2 years

Have you got something to hide? Seems likely given your reaction.

Lol. In three audits they found zilch. And PIS wont find anything on me, because they wont even get in the door. Best not to give these ******* any ammunition of any sort.

Stop writing this nonsense in here. You are embarrassing yourself, as for your comments about Poles and Poland, those are unacceptable

Wot are you talking about? You mean RE: PIS voting scum?

I think you are placing a bit too much importance on yourself. Why would PiS care that much about you? They just check businesses more often to make sure they aren't corrupt, as unfortunately a lot of them over the past 8 years were, because nothing was done. If you've done nothing wrong, they do the checks and then go. What's the issue? I never fear the police stopping me, because I know I've not done anything wrong and they're just doing what they have to.
