@Mafketis: If you would have at least some military knowledge, you would know why they are still sending troops to Afghanistan.

Absolutely not. Non of what you have said is even close to the real reason they are trying to keep their units down there. Please don't take your knowledge out of talkshows and petrol-station wardens.

Go and see some high-ranked US military members who have been leading operations down there for years over years, you might be able get some proper logic from them. But so far I can't see any of it in your comments.

The fact that Poland is still a country speaks to the resilience of the polish people. Given their geographical location they have had to endure constant threats on all sides for most of their existence. Very much in the spirit of the Irish they seem to refuse to be assimilated into another foreign country.I say the Poles should stand up and be proud of their long and storied yet victorious past!
