US Military: The Army of Poland is crap.

The criticism is probably correct. Poland has no long term commitment to Afghanistan, they are only there in name only, for the sake of being mentioned as coalition partner.

From the Afghan side, they are probably looking for freebies, sweets, chocolate and footballs for kids etc. I saw US soldiers distributing those and the afghans probably got nothing from Polish troops, so they are not happy.

Ey Poland's done her share, a relatively poor nation sending thousands of troops to fight in two foreign wars. When the Iraq conflict started who was in Bush's Coalition of the Willing Britain, Australia, Poland, the end.

Aussie Shelia,its unlikely it has anything to do with who gave out the coolest kids toys(Im sure the Poles engaged in just as much hearts and minds gift giving as anyone else) and more to do with the fact that the people in those war zones are generally pretty pragmatic,whoever the biggest man is on the scene is the one they praise, like the new lover saying no dear your far better than my ex's. And if the new lover holds the power of life and death over you and your family you will probably be pretty outspoken in both critisism and praise.

What is up with Kosovo, why did America support this independence? Wasn't it first a part of Greece, the Bulgarian, Serbian, and Ottoman Empires how do Albanians deserve it? By being the majority of the population?

Polish army is on Kosovo. Isn`t it?


today, they are majority of population only thanks to their and Turkish constant genocide, ethnocide and ethnically cleansing of Serbian Slavic population. During WWI and WWI even Germany and Italy took part in destruction of Serbian presents in the region. After 1999 NATO moved to support Greater Albania and after 2008 even EU.

Why would now Poland and Polish army join in the club and down there on Kosovo attack us? Because somebody said something bad about Serbs??? While ancestors of those who now speaks against Serbs assaulted Poland, Serbs were there side by side with Poles

I'm a patriot and I can proudly say I'm from Poland. I think that the polish army is very good and has great will to fight the only thing USA is better than us is $$$

I am Polish. I am patriot. I was a solider. And sadly, I think that the Polish army IS a crap.

I can elaborate, but really - is that necessary? Isn't that obvious? Everyone who is or was in Polish army knows that.

Why Poland would spend money on army?

It have protection of NATO, for God's Sake. No one will mess with Nato.

Putin is just a Barking Dog. He bully Ukraine because they are isolated.

Poland should make like Israel: Invest in research and education and then in the future will have their own advanced military industry.

Poland don`t have protection of NATO. You know, those who invited Poland to NATO didn`t do it because of their altruistic nature. Plus, in NATO leading countries live magnates who generation by generation used to use Poland and Poles.

NATO itself is problem of itself. That is the greatest threat of being in NATO.


From all sentences here this sentence is closest to be truth. Its because, we can say whatever we want about politicians and they are still just that- politicians. Still, this way or another, they are reality and one have to be aware of it.


`Ukraine and Putin` is wrong example. Any Russian leader of any time would have to do something similar if found itself in similar position, as it is Putin`s now. From the historical perspective, one can hardly blame Russia for the events in Ukraine. Blame goes on the west of Europe and USA.


Poland isn`t Israel.


Nice and noble ideas. But first, go kindly ask leaders and magnates of the west of Europe and USA that they allow Poland to change its meaning of existence. It is them who deciding what would be Poland`s orientation and role in this world.

Poland is striving to increase its military capabilities by acquiring advanced transport and attack helicopters as well as by upgrading its air defenses. Poland is pursuing SRBM's and is working to improve its armored forces. Currently Poland is transitioning from Soviet to NATO standards.

A comparison between Polish forces and U.S forces is ridiculous. U.S forces are the most modern military in the world who spend the largest amount of money on military equipment & technology.

Polish army evolved quite nice the last 30 years, but they still wont invest more in to military, like Brits and the French do.

But when it counted for the most for Poland Roosevelt sold us out to Stalin at Yalta. knowing full well he had a viable nuclear weapon, only Patton stood for Poland, but I do not hold this against the American people, they were not responsible for one mans failure of courage.
