Poland marching for life and family

Interesting that nobody's pointed out that the long anti-abortionists on that March were massively outnumbered by those Polish women who marched in favour of easy availability of terminations.

First of all are there reliable sources to confirm your claim? I mean late time GW claimed that there were 240 000 KODitst on the street had to hasty retract it and give the real number 54 000 the we the voice of reason on this forum knew from the start.

Secondly what does it matters? If majority of people would vote in favor of apartheid laws and reintroduction of slavery would you went alone with that?

Some fundamental issues are beyond voting, they are either good or bad, right or wrong and that is that.

Many, however I doubt you would read them.

r 54 000

A very nice turn out and many times the number PiS got when they bussed people in for that rally that unfortunately for them coincided with the Xmas shopping season.

Have a look at the pictures of the two rallies, the one with the normal women and the one with the anti-abortionist loons - a huge difference.

{jon357 - A very nice turn out}

In a conversation with Wprost KOD leader Mateusz Kijowski admitted that 15,000 demonstrators had been bussed in from around the country in specially hired coaches. PO organised the whole thing.

bussed in from around the country

Organisers always lay on buses. The difference is that when PiS bussed their supporters in for an anti-democracy rally they all sloped off to Arkadia.

Anyway, a very nice turnout

A very dodgy site you've linked to by the way. Best avoided.

What do you call female sleep-arounds, girls with peanut-butter legs (easy to spread), ladies of ill-repute? Tarts, sluts, wh*res?

Do you enjoy sex? And do you think it's good that women should enjoy it too?

If you do, how about cutting out the insulting language when referring to women who have the temerity to enjoy their sexuality?

Indeed they shoudl as logn as it's not illicit, ie premarital, extramarital or deviant!

premarital, extramarital or deviant!

A familiar style ;-)

And nothing wrong with a woman having as much sex as she wants with whoever she wants as long as it's consensual and not directly harming others.

Those are mainly blinkered femi-fascist fanatics of the Środa-Szczuka mould -- intelligent but very biased.

jon 357 - as much sex as she wants with whoever

In our graeco-roman-christian civilisation the golden mean has always been the norm to aspire to, hence excess, exaggeration and overdoing things have been frowned on. Excessive piety is called fanaticism, over-eating is gluttony, excessive libation is drunkenness, so what is overcopulation? Is such a person a sexaholic, dissolute, licentious or what?

jon357 - just ordinary women

It's a free country so you are free to believe that ordinary women are femi-fascist fanatics. I happen to disagree.

femi-fascist fanatics

What is a 'femi-fascist fanatic'?

And how does that term relate to a woman who aspires to more than being told by men how they can use their own bodies?

jon 357 - femi-fascist fanatic

In Polish the term babochłop is used. These are often nominal females who try to be pushy and assertive and would be more aptly labelled masculinists than feminists. Many are man-haters which may seem incongruous since they themselves aspire to male-like traits such as aggressiveness. Some may have PHDs and professorial titles but are basicly quite primitive, physical and obsessed about their bodies. 'My uterus belongs to me!' is one of the tasteless placard slogans seen in that bunch. These are definitely not ladies. Nothing gentle, subtle, feminine or caring about these male impersonators, only egoistic self-interest.

"Religio " babochłop? Some may have PHDs ?

This just sounds like some kind of made up nonsense for some inadequate men to hang their coat on because they were outsmarted by a woman.

The idea of some army of babochłop is Absolutely nuts , have you noticed the majority in this world are supportive of life and family otherwise the human race would be dying out.

Are you some nut case radical preacher or just a troll.
oh sorry for my comments if you are mentally ill

dolnoslask - majority in this world are supportive of life and family

Indeed, most women are not pushy, two-fisted feminists but normal ladies who work in various fields while being good wives, mums and grans at the same time.

"dolnoslask - majority in this world are supportive of life and family "

Then cherish this as I do.

but I gather that you are against women who you consider pushy because they stand on their own two feet and are prepared to stand their ground as equals to men.

"two-fisted feminists "

When have you ever come across one of those, the closest I ever got was in a gay bar when a girl thought I was eyeing up her partner

(I was), she offered me out two fists and all , Im 6ft 3" weight 17 stone (Not fat) she scared the hell out of me. but there again I don't know if gay women are feminist or not , probably wrong of me to assume a gay lady might be a feminist, damn the world is getting complicated.

Many are man-haters

How would you even know this? This is just more of your made up rubbish trying to categorize people who don't hold the same views as you.

'My uterus belongs to me!' is one of the tasteless placard slogans seen in that bunch.

Or maybe placards such as those are held by normal everyday Polish women who just happen to think that they have rights where their own bodies are concerned. You should stop trying to label people, it does you no favours at all.

Your Polish lesson for the day.

What does any of that have to do with the thread topic?

Chemikiem - their own bodies

That's precisely the point. They are too obsessed about their own bodies and body parts. Egoistic me, myself and I! No guy would ever parade about with a placard proclaiming "My penis belongs to me" or "My gonads are mine and mine alone!"

That's how the uterus bit sounds -- in very poor taste if not downright disgusting to be brandished about in public. No lady would think of doing so.

They are too obsessed about their own bodies and body parts

Don't be so ridiculous.
Being effectively forced to have a child because of anti-abortion laws ( which may be about to get a whole lot worse ), is something which is going to affect a woman for the rest of her life. If you want to see this as an 'obsession ' about a woman's uterus, then you are really totally clueless.

That's how the uterus bit sounds -- in very poor taste if not downright disgusting

No, it gets the point across.
No-one should have the right to tell a woman what she can or can't do with her own body.

If it comes here we'll doubtless see the same.

"She should have thought about that before"

There are many things that people should have thought about like crossing the road without looking first, people still do it and get run over.

People have choices in life , men and women have a right to live freely and on an equal basis., and yes they should have a choice as to what they do with their bodies for reasons of their mental and physical well being.

dolnoslask - should have a choice as to what they do with their bodies

And many make very bad choices and abuse their bodies with alcohol, drugs, drink driving, self-mutilation and irresponsible sex. The sad thing is that those bad choices rarely affect only the bad chooser but also impact his family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, business partners, etc.

Sounds like blaming a woman.

"Religio " I gather from your username that you are a religious person I am guessing Catholic, You have every right to put down your thoughts and beliefs and preach on the forum as you wish.

But at times here on this thread you are coming across as aggressive (especially to women) and judgmental, surely in your faith it is for God to stand in judgement of people and not you.

Just my opinion that's all.

dolnoslask - judgmental

Whoever thought up that trendy buzzword must've thought people are brainless twats. Everything and everyone -- from beggar to oligarch, from the latest craze to some sacrosanct institution -- are subject to evaluation. That is why people have brains to analyse, evaluate and judge.

'brainless twats'

As someone once said, "judge not lest you be judged".

And unfair to judge a woman (or anyone) by standards that are not theirs.
