come to think of it since it is OT heh, i was watching a comparison of ww2 tanks how the nazis were machined and finished taking longer to build and less able to deflect ammo, where as the russains had casting defects left and other things youll have to look up, it finished with a modern day isreali tank with a smaller army they are made much heavier...speed is of the essence or a balance. anyway,

Ukraine was known as the bread basket of the Soviet union... their rich dark soil was great for growing food...

Ah i see Black Ruthenia was in the Western part of todays Belorussia this must be the reason for the black half of their flag.

I heard somewhere that Belarus, has that prefix (possibly wrong, the source is not so reliable, drinks a lot:)), is an old word for the west used by Old Slavs, that would explain Belarus, as western from russia, also Belgrade (Beograd) would be some city in the west for our eastern Slavs. (belo = west, according to that source).

I didn't get my knowledge of Russia from American school books, i'd probably know close to nothing if i did, i got it from being a history buff and reading in my free time.

I have Russian friends and like Russian people but you seam to me like a hypocritical nationalist who only posts bad things about others and will never admit to any Russian wrongdoings.

If Lukashenko gave me 90 million euro, in Poland, the opposition could finally break through the Gang of Four media oligopoly. Unfortunately, the SLD, PO, PiS and PSL would not allow the use of such assistance. Poland is a totalitarian and oppressive country, fighting the opposition.

You could buy Belarus for that....!

Let take a minute to find out a lil about the man behind the mask, why do you HATE these people? hate is a strong word. I've heard from Russian that Poles hate them, but i've never heard them say they hate Poles.

The first place - YES! Poland is the best, even in Constantine's hate ranking!

But it is surprising to me that the Asian nation hates us so much. One would think
that they should concentrate more on similar, neighbouring nations (like Mongolia,
