"It's too late for Germany" (but not for Poland)

Is there any ethnic group without a shameful history?

Poland, obviously. Nothing but martyrdom and heroism here!

Otherwise, it'll go over them like a wave and likely never be internalized.

I am not going to internalize what others did or my head would explode. That's why I don't want to hear a word about slavery and the nukes. I didn't do it so f*** off and go elsewhere with those sob stories. Yeah, life is a bi***. BTW, I don't mean you personally, Lyzko.

That is why beating on the Germans who were just kids then is just plain stupid. I will beat on them, though, for their guilt-driven softness toward the foreign garbage invading Germany every chance I have.

In that sense, I am, just like Dirk, a better German than Merkel and her naive supporters. An ultimate of ironies: a Polish guy as a German patriot.

It isn't your guilt or fault, it is though ALL of our collective responsibility and this is among other reasons why I find the post-'60 backlash in which we are living so toxic.

A quite good summary about the AfD in "Der Spiegel"...in english...for those who are interested what will change Germany in the near future...

the AfD

The strange thing is that everybody in Europe and the US knows where the populist/ nationalist movement will lead us, but they all seem more than happy to go down that slippery path again. Like lemmings over a cliff.

The strange thing is that everybody in Europe and the US knows where the populist/ nationalist movement will lead us,

What a BS! Are you on meds? The populist movement is that a commie newspeak for democracy. You know where people vote in numbers on those individuals they want to support.

Geez, that one sentence of yours is so loaded with assumptions and so much BS that I could go on about it for while.

It's quite surreal. We're already seeing the beginnings with the Italians demanding that Poland/Hungary and others take more migrants, or they'll stop paying into the EU. Kurz also hammered Hungary recently, and Orban got a nasty shock in the process.

al. We're already seeing the beginnings with the Italians demanding that Poland/Hungary and others take more migrants

Why is Italy supporting and encouraging human trafficking in the mediterranean?

I think they're not, rather it's just a pure populist threat. The idea of cutting money from Poland and Hungary will go down very well in poorer parts of Italy.

I will be more than happy If they "stop paying into the EU".

I look forward to you finally paying taxes in Poland to subsidise Polish farmers..
Bratwurst Boy  9 | 11762
22 Sep 2018 /  #702
He should then not only start paying for the polish farmers but think about an equal support replacement for many other Poles, start here:

Good luck "G"! :)

Poland, obviously.

Indeed. Plus a glorious history.

I look forward to you finally paying taxes in Poland to subsidise Polish farmers.

LOL! Why subside them, just let them do their thing and produce food. Make sure there is no monopoly or conspiracy to buy from them for a very low prices and export it all to Germany and other EU countries. That would be a better deal but France or Germany are afraid of the competition and their are protecting their markets - so F the EU.

He should th

A nice propaganda piece. Sadly most of it is BS.

What is BS and why?
(It's not even german BS but from polish sources...but they are all brainwashed and/or liars, right?:)

Why subside them, just let them do their thing and produce food.

There goes the Polish agricultural sector overnight. If there was a genuine free market, the vast majority of farmers would be unemployed. A few good ones would buy up most of the land, it would be farmed commercially and the end result would be a huge amount of unemployed farmers. Hmm. MOr daybe a good thing.

Make sure there is no monopoly or conspiracy to buy from them for a very low prices and export it all to Germany and other EU countries.

Free market is free market, right?

so F the EU.

Even PiS, who likes to say so too has nothing against these EU funds:

Poland says planned cut in EU funds 'unacceptable'

A planned 23 percent cut in EU cohesion funds for Poland under the bloc's new budget is unacceptable, the Polish government spokeswoman said on Tuesday.....

They might F on the EU but for sure like their money...

I have always suspected that Germans are what is left from Neanderthals. Seems to me it is a confirmation of that. Cool!

Why you with all the east Germans are hooting and why you are excited about it? After all YOUR ancestor came there with Polabian i.e. Slavic tribes. :)

I have always suspected that Germans are what is left from Neanderthals.

The real native European has Nea-blood in them...we are the natives of the natives...the rest are all late immigrants....so! :)

Why you with all the east Germans are hooting

No, they say a big YES to the EU of course but F German total domination and bossiness. Spot the difference. lol!

has nothing against these EU funds:

I do, I think those fund the way they are make more harm than good. its a honey trap.

Those money are inadequate compensation for a wide open market of Poland to a one of the biggest economies in the world. Who just happened to be a next door neighbor to Poland - a big mistake to be sure.

3600 years of confirmed civilization...cooool! :)

yeah sure....enjoy roll eyes

you do realise is a far fetched BS?

No, they say a big YES to the EU of course but F German total domination and bossiness. Spot the difference. lol!

Now THAT is bullshit!

They say a big YES to the money and the privileges but F on the duties and responsibilities...and if they get the stink eye for that behaviour they call that "german bossiness".

you do realise is a far fetched BS?

Nope...it's proven!

....The Nebra sky disk features the oldest concrete depiction of the cosmos worldwide. In June 2013 it was included in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register and termed "one of the most important archaeological finds of the twentieth century."[1].....

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nebra_sky_disk

This sky disc didn't develop in a vacuum...it was the high point of a surrounding civilization, which is only now being discovered and researched....in East Germany! :)

Now THAT is bullshit!

You're being irrational. I know what they are about. I do speak Polish need I remind you? You're being fed BS propaganda in your press. Same As they BS you about those Chemnitz protesters.

I don't even support PiS for reasons that have nothing to do with this thread. I just prefer them over PO scum, commies and sellouts.

F on the duties and responsibilities..

Something that Germany does all the time but because they identify German interests with EU interest you think everything is nice and dandy - well it is not.

Nope...it's proven!

what? a continuous civilization thingy? don't you tell me you are actually into that nonsense? lol! Yeah whatever man enjoy your fantasy land.

So, would you prefer an EU without Germany?
Ironside  50 | 12394
22 Sep 2018 /  #713
No, I was and I'm against Poland's involvement with that organization. That should be German and France and whoever want to joint it.

Poland would be a friendly eastern neighbor with whom a good many nice economical deals could be made and other countries of the three seas area.

That is what I would like.

The way the EU is today. I think it would be nice if the direction the EU takes and German dominance was just controlled by a political body that would represent gov of all member countries. Not some douchebags on a German gov leash as we have now.

There is no balance now. There is not system of check and control. That is bad.

There goes the Polish agricultural sector overnight. If there was a genuine free market, the vast majority of farmers would be unemployed.

Why/ They could work for those who would be successful. Go into tourism, honey production or organic food.

Free market is free market, right?

Yeah if everybody play by the same set of rules. Monopoly is not the game that could be allowed. As it nice those firm in Poland buying agricultural stuff from Polish farmers are F them up on the prices.

Go into tourism, honey production or organic food.

yes diversification is the way forwards. Like here in West Wales. Pony trekking, cafes, yurt camps, that kind of thing.
jon357  73 | 22683
22 Sep 2018 /  #717
It's a great idea, however only a limited number of Poles are interested in what they call agrotourism (and those people are catered for by existing infrastructure) and people from other countries can find the same elsewhere in more interesting places, like West wales.

Diversification is however the way forward, and this should be encouraged.

The AfD in Germany has certain, albeit distant, parallels with the Trump faction in Congress; both claim to appeal to the long-term "ignored" and disenfranchised, those who honestly believe they've been given the short end of the stick, moreoever are bleedin' sick and tired of the stranglehold over them known as political correctness.

They also both rely on extreme historical ignorance (Trump supporters of the New Deal Era, AfD/PEGIDA, of the lessons from Hitler) mixed with a post-'60's infantility of wanting everything THEIR way or the highway, so to speak, as well as a completely insensitive disregard for the idea of the downtrodden in any society together with the need to fix problems which actually need fixing vs. those which don't.

How can you people say all this nonsense ? Are you really that dumb ?

Polish food export is worth EUR 25 billion annually. "EU subsidies" are drop in the bucket given the size of the whole sector. And farming is dominated by mid size owner with several million a year revenues. The few small guys that are still in it, usually have a "normal" job next to it. So much for your "wisdom".

Really, aren't you ashamed of all the fake stuff you are spreading here ?

Exactly. Some of them ignore how badly it turned out for them last time.
