Glad I slept through the neck and neck part (especially the duck in the lead part) and finally awoke in a Poland that's just for "filthy-rich tycoons, lobbyists, crafty wheeler-dealer types and assorted, yuppies, eggheads and snobs" as Polonius3 would put it. Yahoo!

There is no liberal parties in Poland right now.

I beg to differ, PO is ultra liberal. For instance at the height of the financial crisis when everybody was following Keynesian economics and spending big! Guess what, Rostowski and the PO were the only ones in Europe that i know of that cut the budget.

How would explain that?

Why is it that they have one of the smallest budget deficits in Europe?

And lets not forget their reform of pensions.

The good thing is that we can blame PO now as both leaders are from that party (or likely will be) :) Kommie wants to invite Putin to Poland. That's a good first step, one which Tusk has already taken before.

I'm not asking for your opinion Ironside.

Nevertheless you will get one even if I have to force it down your throat, every-time you come out with ******** you will get what what you deserve ...

If you wanna live with a Noob as your president be my guest.

that the fine political reason - twit

Because these countries are the ones that do business in Poland and provide wealth for Poles.

Who you are, its remain to be seen.
You really believe that profit motivated company;s will stop doing businesses in Poland because some obscure Duck would be president?
Either they are not motived by profit and have other agendas or their profit is not that kosher if they are afraid of lame duck.

It begs investigation :)

thank you delphiandomine

why don't you kiss his butt?Sebastian ?

Conception of the liberal state means that the government interventions

In theory, nowadays it means gay marriages and all this PC sick propaganda plus government and European donations for minority groups. It means that any half witted facrd can get money for claiming to be a pervert for example animal lover:)

PO doesn't give a shite about all this, they are just egger to get ant support they can to stick to the tit - and suck nation dry!

Will Komorowski now return those documents he stole? Will he ensure that the repairing of roads is to a set timetable? Will he acknowledge that WWII is in the past? ;) ;) Will he modernise the bureaucracy here?

The answer is NO. He is a puppet that will be largely ineffectual. Can this man be populist?

Tusk pulls the strings anyway so who really cares?
frd  7 | 1379
5 Jul 2010 /  #69
Same as it was during Lech presidency - Jarosław was pulling all the strings, and that's how it usually is in countries where both prime minister and president are from the same parties and prime minister holds most of the power. Bleeting about it won't change the fact that every gov does it. Congrats for masters of the obvious.

Russia appears to act differently. It's hard to tell who wields the forceps there.

All right I guess I can't say anything against conspiracy theories can I? But Kaczynscy had their own communist affiliation - lets remember Magdalenka for all the conspiracy fans.

What does that have to do with Russia and the apparent joint partnership (50-50%?) of Medvedev and Putin?
frd  7 | 1379
5 Jul 2010 /  #73
Sorry Seanus, my bad - you were talking about the relationship between M and P, and I though mistakingly that you are refering to the Smolensk catastrophy, supposed Russian meddling in it and in the polish election. I jumped to conclusions before digesting your post. Sorry.

I personally think that Putin is the real driver of the country and Medvedev is but a decoy, a face that is a bit more human..

That's ok, frd. I don't go with the conspiracy line on that anyway, just interested in what they are saying.

Komorowski, to his credit, doesn't go in for spies :)

He was in charge of WSI, military intelligence - which was closed down because it was utterly compromised by Russian spies. And he was the first bloke in charge of it after independence.

Because of their last meetings. He came away with a favourable impression! Everyone knows that PO have close ties with the Russian government. PiS tend to be less forward about it.

Because of their last meetings.

What meetings? They had some private meetings? :)

He came away with a favourable impression!

Of course he did :) In politics there are only favourable impressions! :)

Everyone knows that PO have close ties with the Russian government

What? :D What do you mean by "close ties with the Russian government"? :>

PiS tend to be less forward about it.

PiS is considered in Russia a "russophobic" party, as far as I know.

I'm not sure if Komorowski is a good choice.

Liberals around Europe are responsible for the plague of non-European immigrants.
It would be very bad for the future of Poland if he has the same views about immigration.

Does anyone know if Komorowski is also liberal about 3rd world immigration?

Idiotic post. No wonder some British moan about the Poles in Britain, we've managed quite well with our multicultural inner cities in the past, but then we get an influx of people with rabid right wing views like yours.... Now let's all put on our thinking caps and wonder what candidate you voted for.

It wasn't the normal thinking progressive one, was it?
Poland would be far better off with some diversification from other nations to dilute your racist blood :))

Indeed they did :)

When the cameras are on, yes :)

As in those where they want to work together and trade :)

JK has changed his tune on that one :)
