Smurf is just funny, i tend to read his posts chuckling from time to time.

Your disregarding and insulting tone towards others would be funny if it wasn't pathetic.

Did you ever take a headache pill? Or go to a doctor? If so, it shows you don't trust God.

Human beings are not like other animals and with a bit of will we can overcome our insticts.

Or we can just do what we want to do, within our freedoms, so that the said freedoms of us and others around as are not infringed.

Then all conservative laws should be abolished. Nothing would be imposed on nobody. I'm all for it.

But shouting mindless crap is not helping them for sure

Neither is praying.

What doctors? Am I supposed to ask rybnik? lol

Don't be so sarcastic. young lady - it doesn't make you look intelligent - quite the reverse.

I'm asking you, jon357. I'm interested in your opinion. I guess you have one

I do indeed. My opinion is that an embryo is a group of cells, not a person. It has no personality, memory or consciousness - therefore I am not opposed to abortion.

An atheist, a true believer at that! Will never come to agreement on anything with a religious person, sad :-(
Protecting yourself from a miracle of life just to do it is quite different than protecting urself from bacteria. ;-)
As an atheist u dont believe in anything, any form of god, hence wecannot agree on anything even praying !
I say a one to one conversation with God u say... Wotever ;)

Apart from tgat ur posts have some insults, and senseless crap as always.

Jon if u dont believe that an embroy is human life then u r a pro abortion.

An atheist, a true believer at that!

Behold the power of oxymorons.

Protecting yourself from a miracle of life just to do it is quite different than protecting urself from bacteria. ;-)

Yes, the former requires an abortion, the latter requires antibiotics.

As an atheist u dont believe in anything, any form of god, hence wecannot agree on anything even praying !

We do agree on the fact that everyone should be let to believe what they want to believe, or believe nothing at all. Go ahead and pray if you believe that is going to change anything in this world. I prefer to take action.

I say a one to one conversation with God u say

So you're claiming your God replies to you? Interesting.

Apart from tgat ur posts have some insults, and senseless crap as always.

If by senseless crap you mean reason and logic, then indeed. There are no insults in my posts.

Jon if u dont believe that an embroy is human life then u r a pro abortion.

Being pro abortion means not being against women retaining their reproductive rights and power to make empowered decisions about their own bodies. Nothing less.

Yaawn your mindset is very weird...
Oh and please stop pouring that feminazis dictatorship of "my body, my vagina" i think it is still a bit too early to bring this crap out on the open.

Yaawn your mindset is very weird...

You are the one insulting, yet your mindset seems to be pretty narrow-minded and defective

Oh and please stop pouring that feminazis dictatorship of "my body, my vagina"

Nazis, dictatorship and women's rights in one sentence. Are you feeling alright? All marbles there? Yes, their bodies, their will. Do you have a problem with that? How about you stop pouring your bigoted oppressiveness, instead?

i think it is still a bit too early to bring this crap out on the open.

I concur, you should definitely stop posting at this time of the day.

FemiNazis is a well known term, the nazi comes from the idea that these ppl believe in only one rightous ideology, it is a nick for them.

Femis are not really pro womens right mate we all know that ;)
They are still back in the dark ages and babble on about how they feel discriminated because of wolfwhistles.
Kobiety dla Narodu is a feminists organization.
You should read about what abortion does to a womens body womb etc and then u can start babbling on
Me narrow-minded? Please u are the one repeqting everything that the leftists are saying without a word of disapproval!

You should read about what alcohol and nicotine do to people's bodies. That's not a reason good enough to ban them, though. If they want to use these, they should have every right to do just that. Keep your snotty attitude to yourself.

Me narrow-minded?

Yes!

Please u are the one repeqting everything that the leftists are saying without a word of disapproval!

Everyone living according to their will, beliefs and within their personal freedoms - think what you want, but there is absolutely no reason not to spread this idea and disapprove of it. As I said, keep your oppressive, bigoted self from others' businesses, live your life and let others live theirs.

When did you see that a bottle of vodka can make a woman not have any babies in future?
Apart from that i dont really care what u have written since all of it is either nonsense (ive got a right to opress u but u dont have a right to opress me.. Somekind of nazi idea that is).

Or just childish bs.

When did you see that a bottle of vodka can make a woman not have any babies in future?

It can make her liver fail, it can affect her pregnancy, and all that just for starters. Do you really need me to link you some sites regarding the effects of consuming alcohol?

Apart from that i dont really care what u have written since all of it is either nonsense (ive got a right to opress u but u dont have a right to opress me.. Somekind of nazi idea that is).

That just proves my point of you being very narrow-minded, with a great dose of arrogance and conceitedness on top, as you seem to think you have some sort of "a right to oppress" your adversary.

Or just childish bs.

See above.

Whatever i can show sources that show corpse of aborted babies or testimonies of doctors how they carried it out some of it brings to ming dr mengele and concentration camps pseudo medical experiements.

You mean embryos and fetuses. Babies are humans that have been born.

or testimonies of doctors how they carried it out

You can also probably read horrible testimonies of doctors who performed a mastectomy or cholecystectomy. It's just a medical procedure.

some of it brings to ming dr mengele and concentration camps pseudo medical experiements.

Sure, if you do it underground with a rusted clothes hanger. In civilized countries, where abortion is legal and performed upon women's requests, it's considered very safe and without complications. Of course, all medical procedures carry risks, but that just comes with the job.

If you say so...

I cant be bothered to argue with u, u lack piataklepka or just empathy.

You can't be bothered because you know you will lose against rational argumentation. All you can do is revert to insults. Pathetic.

Don't be so sarcastic. young lady - it doesn't make you look intelligent - quite the reverse.

My sarcasm wasn't supposed to make me "look intelligent", but motivate you to answer my question :) Looks like it worked.

I do indeed. My opinion is that an embryo is a group of cells, not a person. It has no personality, memory or consciousness - therefore I am not opposed to abortion.

OK, but I asked you when, according to you, a person starts. So when "a thing" turns into "a person"? At what stage?

And is the term "a person" the same as "human being" for you?

...but you promised.....

No, I didn't promise anything.
So, I won't get any answers from you?

I could also mention the greed of wealth the complete failure of the church to help the poor...

"The complete failure of the church to help the poor"? What are you talking about, blue? You're generalising, there are all kinds of people in the Church, including those who help people in all kinds of ways, like Mother Teresa, for example, and charities like Caritas.

One can have a different point of view when it comes to opinions. When it comes to facts, it's either being right or being wrong.

You are wrong. In scientific reasoning, something can only be called a fact when it can be observed as it occurs or when it can be proven empirically. It means that many things people think of as facts are in fact only theories.

A very polarised (and Polanised) argument about faith/lack of faith... both of which rely on proving the unprovable, no?

How do you go from John Paul's canonisation to discussing nazi germany? Seriously...

Back on topic, you won't find me on a church on sundays nor would I call myself a spiritual person but I have the deepest of respects for Karol Wojtyła.

All in favour of Ryz's comment marking a reasoned conclusion to this digression, raise your hands :)
Agree re Karol... and though atheist to the bone, seriously impressed with Francis. External link, if you're interested: inside-poland/t/francis-goodness-regardless-of-god/

Okay, so basically you're telling me I'm wrong, and then reiterating what I said. If it's observed and proven empirically, it's a fact. And with facts you can either get them right or wrong. There is no third option, there is no opinion.

It means that many things people think of as facts are in fact only theories.

That's the problem of these people who confuse facts with theories.

.It means that many things people think of as facts are in fact only theories.

but you also have to consider the fact that "Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living

biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and
every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life....but one
particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right."

This is not a problem but a fact of life.

I believe that those two views are not contradictory.

No, I'm telling you that you are wrong because many things people think of as scientific facts are in fact only theories.

That proves people who think this way are wrong, not me.

This is not a problem but a fact of life.

It is a problem when it comes to the nature of discussion we are having.

Try to think about God as a scientific theory.

It is a problem when it comes to the nature of discussion we are having

It has nothing to do with the nature of discussion but everything to do with human nature.

Try to think about God as a scientific theory.

How would you do that? You can neither prove nor disprove existence of God.

It has nothing to do with the nature of discussion but everything to do with human nature.

But you can clearly discern a fact from a hypothesis or a theory. 2 + 2 = 4 is a fact. If you don't agree with it, you're wrong.

you can do whatever you want with any numbers and the way you write them on a blackboard. That would not be considered a proof, and in this case, that's exactly what happens.

Any half-intelligent person with basic knowledge of math can spot the obvious error in that "proof" within seconds from its appearance.
Analogically, I can "prove" to you that 1 = 0, among many numerous fallacies.

If it's not an act of trolling on your behalf, and you treat this "proof" seriously, then you have my deepest sympathy.
Nile  1 | 154
14 Jul 2013 /  #150
How would you do that? You can neither prove nor disprove existence of God.

That is an assumption, in fact you are not able to predict the future.
A scientific theory is not the end result of the scientific method, theories can be proven or rejected. As long as theory is not rejected by the same scientific method you cannot be certain that given theory is not right.

But you can clearly discern a fact from a hypothesis or a theory.

Misunderstanding.
If you want to be respected you need to respect your opponent. There are only two kind of posters here those who do respect other people and those who do not respect other people. Being religious or non -religious has nothing to do with it.
