When I had a sprained ankle, I had to walk with crutches. I don't have a car and my bicycle was out of question. One day I was resting on the side of a low traffic street. A car pulled over, and the owner said: "Do you need help ?" It was an eye-opening moment for me. It's hard to notice something that's missing. You see... the question was in english.

i know what you want to say. We can generally think negative of English (with a good reason, of course) but, on their credit English, within Protestantism, preserved connection with spirituality that existed prior to Christianity. We Serbians understand that because we also managed to preserve it.


SLAVA survived among Serbians incorporated within Christianity and that is important. Other Slavs more and more ask Serbs for the details of the custom. It would be very simple for Catholic, Protestant and other Orthodox Slavs to accept to celebrate SLAVA. It doesn`t endanger their Christianity.

That is a pretty standard warning they issue if they are some events that might cause unrest. I'm sure that they have issued same warnings in the past. What changed?

Seems like press is using that warning for political ends.
