Human Trafficking in and from Poland

That habit is pretty much endemic in Poland is it not? You have just shown this yourself. Blame everyone else, not yourselves.

Ok so whats the Wests agenda here? A smear campaign on Poland? Or is it we just don't like the idea of shipping girls to our countries to a life of servitude in the sex industry? Are you doubting this exists? Do you doubt Polish citizens have involvement?

What I was hinting at was Polands lack of acceptance/understanding of European Law. Sign it and ignore it.

and typically Polish in not really understanding fully concepts from, shall we say, the west.

You mean no society looking the other way when gangs of grown up men are "grooming" 12 years old girls ? Please replay. I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi, I'm back Gregorz.

At least they weren't masquerading as priests, protected by the Catholic Church, playing with little boys.

Do you believe you have fewer perverts per capita in Poland? It seems we have inherited a good proportion over here.

Do you think that mud slinging is the answer?

My point is valid and exactly why Poland is considered "The Poor Man of Europe" in terms of child protection, child welfare and your ridiculous legal system that fails to protect and even when it blatantly knows its wrong, it still feels it has to say its right.

Gregorz_, I am not interested in mud slinging but if you want some, I'll play. I don't think Poland or Poles are inherently bad. I live with one and her two kids. When you have seen the devastation the Polish courts can cast over a family, as I have done first hand, and through a multitude of unconnected cases, which should not be happening because Poland agreed to change its laws and did not, then you would know where I'm coming from. The trouble is that the majority in Poland are completely unaware of how law can affect them until it actually does. Polands laws need an overhaul now. Its not just family law thats holding Poland back, banking is equally affected which currently prevents Poland from taking on the Euro. Not that it would be a good move right now.

Things are swinging in the right direction. The concept of parental abduction is slowly becoming understood and ITAKA is taking an active role. When the courts understand that children should be protected first and argued over in court afterwards, they will have made a massive step forward away from communist idealism. Currently it can take up to three years to decide which parent has the children and its not necessarily the one they have been living with for the past three years.

There are lots of things Poland needs to do.

They must change laws that they agreed to when signing the Hague and Brussels II
They need to set up a welfare system separate from the courts. The current Kurator system is a joke
An independent organisation should be set up and separated from the courts so the psychologists are not in the direct pay of the judges or "friends" of the judges. This really is a joke.

Judges, and welfare agents acting on behalf of the courts should be made responsible for their actions.

All Hague cases should be held in higher courts where judges have specific training and understand that in this situation, International Law overrides Polish Law (exactly as it would in England)(Yes we apply voraciously)

Poland should enforce its own Hague decisions not just ignore them as it currently does. Poznan family court has even been seen to assist child abductors when the same court has ordered a return.

There we go. A bit to go at.

Poland should get some credit for being on the US State Dept list of Tier 1 countries - ie fully compliant with laws. Here is an article.

guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2011/jun/27/human-trafficking-us-state-department

But still more work to be done.

Or if you like pictures here is a global chart.

Because the 'indirect " influence of money, popular atty or local renown in the US is sooo much better?

Guardian ad litums are normally close with, work with and are often from same offices previous as the winning atty side. I have fought six... SIX non jurisdictional cases.. all within the states.. (by the way when dismissed? are unable to be followed up with oh...prosecution for perjury? restitution? damages? reimbursment?... and that money and time is taken from my 7 yr old child. Oh yeah... needs of children first, riiiight) and it is expected that whole other countries will give respect to each other better than that? Wotevah

I do agree that judges and welfare agents in family court should be made accountable. but this thread isn't technically about family court..it is about the abduction, coercion and subjecation of people into salvery or sex bondage. And Poland ISa tier 1 country, as mentioned earlier.

I hope that it will be never considered "The rich man of Europe" in terms of child protection.

Wow thanks !

banking is equally affected which currently prevents Poland from taking on the Euro.

Exactly the attitude that prevents change

Wow thanks !

My pleasure

Fascinating. Please explain.

Don't be lazy. Check it for yourself.

Yes been up with ****s all night. Probably that sheeps cheese fromZaccopane (?).

And Poland IS a tier 1 country, as mentioned earlier.

And Poland signed the Hague Treaty and Brussels II! Now tell me all those disco babes lining the road from Poznan to Germany are there of there own volition. Its one thing signing up and another doing something about it. Poland is very good at doing nothing about it.

I ate a couple of days ago

The very fact that 'nobody cares' is precisely the problem and indicates true racism, not phantom antisemitism everybody stands accused of today. Watching recent documentaries about Muslim pedo-gangs in UK, I gather that British People do not care even about their own children - so simple anti slavic racism does not explain ubiquitous acceptance for crimes committed on white children and teenagers.

I watched Jewish documentary about Jewish sex slave traders made a few years ago. Slave girls were kept in dog cages in cellars underground, dirty and hungry. The 'slave masters' claimed that girls were there of their own will - and besides they were the traffickers themselves. Everybody seemed to believe him, despite of obvious evidence to the contrary.

Similarly in case of grooming gangs in UK operated wholly by Muslims, authorities believed that girls consent to gang rape and called them 'slappers'.

do not care

Given that the perpetrators have been given life sentences, I would suggest that society cares.

Thanks Harry
I did touch base with La Strada awhile ago. They are more reactive and not very proactive in Poland. ie if the police call them with a case they maybe can point the person to services. La S seams more focused on education. Just my impression after one chat with there boss in Warsaw.

Merged: Human Trafficking of Poles into Ireland

A Polish man has appeared in court on charges of human trafficking involving Polish women:

A Polish man has appeared before a sitting of Dublin District Court charged in connection with an ongoing investigation into human trafficking.

Wojciech Gendarz, 38, from Poland, is charged with trafficking a person for the purposes of sexual exploitation contrary to Section 4 of the Criminal Law Human Trafficking Act 2008.

rte.ie/news/2016/1029/827857-human-trafficking/

Very disturbing to think that citizens of an EU country can be trafficked into another EU country.

Not great, is it... I remember seeing, about 20 years ago, minibuses from Ukraine to Germany via Poland and all the passengers were very pretty young women. Unpleasant to see, more unpleasant for them when you think how it might end up.
