Hardly a day goes by that the government does not introduce yet another good change to the Polish landscape. Under dynamic Developemtn Min. Mateusz Motrawiecki, the Polish Foreign Investment Agency (PAIZ) has recently opened an office in San Francisco to strengthen Polish-US business ties in such areas as R&D, business centres, IT services, automotive, energy and new technologies. "The office is a landing site for Polish companies taking their first steps on the US market, and a departures hall for American firms interested in investing in Poland," PAIZ CEO Tomasz Pistula explained. Under PiS, PAIZ plans to set up shop at some 70 locations in countries which offer Polish companies the greatest potential for development. They have recently opened offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Nairobi, Shanghai, Singapore and Tehran.
