stop being a smart ass. I have been reading GW longer then you imagine. You got nothing. Stop spamming.

You come here and claim that the readership has declined. Some said that it is a world wide trend. Are you able to think at all?

With all that democracy I am jut more convinced that some people should not have access to the internet.

People still buy physical papers?

Well, I buy GW on Friday (mainly for "Co jest grane"). I still think reading a paper on "paper" has something. I do not talk about Julius Streicher's nasz dziennik which is a waste of trees of course.

Last time I were in Lodz they were giving GW free on tram stops. And you could sign up for subscription of this means of control for just 1 zeta per issue.

People came to the conclusion that Wybiorcza (Selective, as in selective truth), is going down the down, and invested in Dziennik Lodzki instead.

The Rzeczpospolita has been bough by the left as well.

Oh, by all means, don't limit yourself to current articles only. Feel free to search the archives as well. Just find me something concrete, that would show us all how terrible this "nazi",
"fascist", "Rydzykisch Beobachter" rag, really is. Just one article, it's all I ask for.

The archives are online?

and I consider GW as szmatławiec.

It hardly matters what you think - it's still the most widely read broadsheet in Poland, and probably the most influential newspaper.

The Rzeczpospolita has been bough by the left as well.

Uh - most Polish newspapers are left wing in nature. Gazeta Wyborcza, Rzeczpospolita, Gazeta Polska, etc etc - they're all left wing. Heck, Polish politics are left wing - a clear majority of the Sejm are left wingers. And let's not forget that most governments (barring the existing one) have been left wing too since what, the 1920's?

Economically, there's next to no difference between Gazeta Wyborcza and Gazeta Polska (for instance). Perhaps Rzeczpospolita is a bit more free market orientated, but it's nowhere near what is commonly understood to be conservative economics.

Delphi - you're spot on. They're all bloody leftist, always thinking about how much money power and respect they are DUE (należy się). Never thinking about actually making the money they want to spend. Hence the wyjechani (fuk-outs)

I bet you graddad was in the Blue Police and being proud of it

Actually, one of my grandfathers was wounded during September campaign and never really
recovered from the wounds. He had health problems all his life and died when I was a little
boy. The second one was captured and imprisoned in a German oflag, where he spend the
entire war. He lived until he was 84 and died peacefully in his house in Karkonosze mountains.

They were both great men - brave, wise and patriotic, so I would be grateful if a lowlife
that you are, refrained from talking about them in a disrespective manner.

How do I know you're a lowlife? That's simple - you can't get at me, so you insult my dead
relatives. Only the biggest scoundrels, the lowest of the low do that.

in 2006 to be exact.

I was sarcastic. I am a reader and I can read whatever I want. So can you:).

If anyone wants to blame GW for all the bad things happening in Poland, they I suggest they grow up and look around. What is happening in Poland in a direct result of what Polish people want and can cope with. I have had enough on Poles complaining that outside sources are responsible for what is happening to the country.

They were both great men - brave, wise and patriotic, so I would be grateful if a lowlife

you are not the only one whose family suffered during the war. Get over it, this is not the topic of this thread:). Most likely most families in Poland suffered during the war.

3. Most likely most families in Poland suffered during the war.

Thank you, Miss Obvious.

Now, be so kind and notice that it was the lowlife Sobieski, who wrote...

I bet you graddad was in the Blue Police and being proud of it

...and I only replied to his insult.

Somehow, you didn't see fit to reprimand him for going off-topic.

true.

true, but I am really tired of people trying to dictate what I should read. During the communist times people read what was available.
Today there is freedom of speech in Poland and I am tired of other people telling me what I am based on what I read.

This is what this thread is about and I have heard it too many times already:)

Very good!

So, I gather that you are against using the name "Rydzykisch Beobachter" for "Nasz Dziennik",
suggesting that it's "nazi" or "fascist" and belittling people who read it...

Though given that 'Nasz Dziennik's' core audience have to move their lips while reading, the
sound of all those false teeth stuck with crumbs of communion wafer and crushed laxative
tablets
can't be a pleasant sight.

...disparaging their intelligence, religion, digestion problems and last but not least, dental
health, based only on the daily newspaper they read? :)

Good!

*just a hint - you would make your święte oburzenie, about freedom of reading whatever
people want, more credible, if you opposed posters who ridicule the abovementioned people
based on what they read*

The truth is that all newspapers lose readers, and all radio and television stations lose listeners and viewers thanks to the internet, and those dropping numbers can also be accredited to the dwindling birth-rates of the last few decades, which is now only beginning to make a noticable difference. So I think it's pretty realistic to expect more numbers to drop in the not-so-distant future.

Oh dear - but it is precisely the fault of 20 years of hate speech against their own country. 20 years of belittling everything apart from carpaccio with goat cheese, because that alone is foreign enough.

Why not grow up and draw conclusions?

you are not the only one whose family suffered during the war. Get over it, this is not the topic of this thread:).

You are strangely silent in regards to this lowlife's comment that is started the "off topic" with this perfidious comment:

I bet you graddad was in the Blue Police and being proud of it

Are you applying the same, clearly prejudiced, approach in judging the value of "news"papers as you do in attacking the people whose family members were insulted without any reason?

Who is spreading "hate speech" against Poland?

I've read quite a lot of articles by English and German sources covering the last 20 years in recent weeks, and the only thing that can be called "hate speech" is from Der Spiegel stirring the pot. And that was one article about Polish car thieves.

Sorry, but no-one cares enough about Poland to spread hate speech. In fact, the only hate speech I see in Poland comes from the constant vitrolic attacks towards other Poles.

As compared to the microscopic "reader" ship of Julius Streicher's "Nasz Dziennik" you mean ?

What's wrong with 'Nasz Dziennik'?...I understand that it may seem old fashioned, nationalistic, but it certainly not like 'Der Sturmmer'...It it least offers an alternative to globalist horses**t...'Gazeta Wyborcza' is typical Western type liberal rag, reflecting 'cosmopolitan' POV...Now, I am as cosmopolitan as the best, having experienced various cultures from different levels, but the liberal rags all parrot the globalist, materialistic line...'Gazeta Wyborcza' will survive.

All newspapers lose circulation due to free news on Internet...But I think a physical newspaper is still quite enjoyable.

not surprised that polonia in US is a PIS electorate and Radio Maryja biggest fan.
GW is best polish newspaper and reading Nasz Dziennik only would be a disaster.
recently read comment in ND on Smolensk air disaster:
"how it was possible that no one survived in an aircraft falling from few meters above the ground"
!!! Only in ND you can find that.
Live Long GW !

These "people" every day attack the decent part of society. These smolenkists and crossists are everything what Poland should not be. And judging Julius Streicher's nasz dziennik they are a minority. But they are there.
