Thank heavens, Macron won! The far right would merely have emboldened the far right fringe throughout the rest of the Continent.
He's hardly perfect, though he seems to be a leftists-centrist and that's a darned sight better than the radical extremist, xenophobic Le Pen supporters who'd gladly throw the baby out with the bathwater:-)
A point that many may have missed is that Macron is only the president he needs the support of MP's to pass laws and make change, the BIG problem is that he is an independant and currently has no MP's, now many on the left see him as a young upstart brought in by a wave of poupular vote against the curent establishment, most of the right will not give him th time of day and do anything to undermine his presidency.
I fear that French politics will stagnate and the president will be foiled at his attempts to make any real change to the establishment.
As for Poland I guess it will be business as usual with a stagnated France unable to effect any real change within the EU.
The protests agains the new president have begun in France.
rt.com/news/387581-post-vote-protest-paris-election-scuffles I apologies to those liberals here for using Putinite RT as a source, but sometimes they get the news out first , on occasion they report what others would like to be kept hidden, or sometimes it can be complete cobblers.
Condoleezza Rice warns against feeling reassured by the defeat of far right candidate Marine Le Pen. "I really do believe that these populists are changing the character of the politics just by being there, so even mainstream candidates are having to respond to their agenda.
You see fewer people talking about free trade. You see countries talking about industrial policy and protectionism. It's hard to defend immigrants almost any place in the world today. The rise of nativism is having an impact on the politics, even if the candidates aren't winning." I think the message is slowly getting out to the younger people who have only been exposed to Liberal Leftism in Europe. Poland being a conservative country certainly is hip as they watch Europe slowly crumble under Liberalism.
Not convinced... go back and look at the young voters, what this might mean is that there's a more extreme nationalist somewhere in the wings that won't make the same mistakes Le Pen did...
I'm convinced now that voters are seeing through the alt-right message. It was working in 2016, but with the Dutch, French and Austrian rejection of the philosophy along with Germans rejecting it, it's simply not working as effectively as it did in 2016. Europeans seem to have had a scare with Trump getting elected, and the blatant Russo-American propaganda online isn't getting through in the way that it looked like it would several months ago.
The big question for me is what will happen with Poland and Hungary. Both of them can easily fall into the Russian embrace, with puppets in control.
I apologies to those liberals here for using Putinite RT as a source, but ... sometimes it can be complete cobblers.
Do you know about how Russian agents have provoked conflict elsewhere? There's a fantastic example from Estonia in 2007 - /news.err.ee/592127/ansip-laaneots-russian-agents-present-during-bronze-night-riots
RT can be credible when it comes to things that aren't of interest to Russia, but in this case (where they've just lost 27 million Euro on Le Pen) - it's not a surprise that they would be attempting to portray Macron's election as anything but decisive.
The big question for me is what will happen with Poland and Hungary.
And how much Russia are prepared to spend or already have.
Macron's election
Now things have gone against them and the best candidate for Poland and the rest of our continent has been chosen, they may try to crank things up a bit.
And how much Russia are prepared to spend or already have.
I think we'll see Russia stepping up their efforts considerably in Poland, and I wouldn't be surprised to see incidents start to occur in Lithuania too.
Now things have gone against them and the best candidate for Poland and the rest of our continent has been chosen, they may try to crank things up a bit.
Absolutely. The latest revelations that Trump's golf courses were funded by Russia cash shows us just how deep America is in this.
Polish voters will have one last chance to decide whether they want to remain in the Russian orbit or if they want a seat at the top table with France and Germany. There can be no other way.
I think we'll see Russia stepping up their efforts considerably in Poland, and I wouldn't be surprised to see incidents start to occur in Lithuania too.
It is EU who now creates problems in Poland now. If that prevent Poland to form Intermarium, Russia may gets call from Poland.
May I ask what Russian news media you copied and pasted that from ?
Germany's facing her own immense, although scarcely unique, challenges. With the various defeats of Hofer in Austria, Wilders in Holland, and up till now, Le Pen in France (along with a major victory for the SPD in Berlin earlier yesterday), it seems as though Ms. Petry and Mr. Hoecke are going to be pushing up daisies, so to speak, as AfD, and hopefully PEGIDA as well, will be all but politically dead come Fall '17!
Hmmm....looks the election outcome was fixed all along.
KATIE HOPKINS: Macron may have won by a landslide but in the resigned Paris I visited last night it didn't feel like many people were celebrating a triumph for the globalists
A sterile representation of democracy following a script. The choreography of it all was disturbing. I realised I had a bag, three Macron t-shirts and two flags in my hands before I had spoken to a soul
Source: dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4484314/KATIE-HOPKINS-Paris-didn-t-feel-like-globalist-victory.html So much for democracy representing the will of the people.
It makes one wonder why France even needs a president in a globalist world. How many presidents does the EU and each of its member states need anyway? It's ridiculous. Macron should show his commitment to globalism and France's inevitable relegation to a mere provincial backwater and give up his title and his palace as well. If he needs a title at all then he can rebrand his position as governor or make it relevant and obvious and use the title of warden (as in the prison variety). He should also have his official residence (and private residence) converted into flats for beleaguered but adored refugees which according to Macron must be allowed to flood into Europe.
Abstentions/blank votes: 16.2 million
Yes, over 16 million who refused to recognize Macron as qualified to lead France.
Irrelevant in a globalized world which according to you
is inevitable. And a good thing.
Very well then. They should give up the anachronistic titles and trappings of democracy. Heck, just abolish all elected offices. The cost savings from this alone would help ferry millions of more migrants from the third world into the EU and be used to build schools, hospitals and housing for them and future generations of welfare clients (aka "new Europeans").
Your cohort won't stand by his convictions and make a pledge to denounce Macron on same the day he inevitably meets with Putin. Will you stand by your convictions and make a pledge instead?
axis
Hilarious! When did Tusk ever recall Poland's ambassador to Russia? When did Tusk recall EU's ambassador to Russia? Oh, that's right, never.
All this Russian subterfuge being exposed daily by you and your cohorts and yet Tusk does nothing. Obviously he doesn't read your posts even though to your benefit he does understand English. You must be so disappointed in him. I can't imagine he would ever care though.
And you're adding Erdogan to your litany? Too funny. Ever since he has been in office you have been extolling Turkey on here as such a pleasant place to live.
And look, around this time last year he sat down to break bread with a flamboyant member of your tribe:
You see, Erdogan is a PC virtual signaler. You should respect him.
And if Macron does indeed come out of the closet as the rumors suggest then I'm sure he and Erdogan will get along just swimmingly. Perhaps Erdogan will treat Macron to a Turkish bath. Macron does have a thing for oldies. But the French do also have a bit of a reputation for sadomasochism behind closed bedroom doors so he may prefer having it rough in some brutal Turkish prison. Either way I'm sure Erdogan would be happy to oblige.
Of which you are not. It's well known hackers can deliberate use another country's IP as a red herring.
Russian involvement is a proven fact beyound any doubt whatsoever.
"Proven" by leftwing globalist fake news outlets and regurgitated by you on here.
First you said it was the Russians. Then it was the American "alt-right". And now it is back to the Russians again. I don't think you would get your story straight even if you were sober.
It's well known hackers can deliberate use another country's IP as a red herring.
That's probably about the lamest excuse you've tried to make here. Which is saying a lot.
"Proven" by leftwing globalist fake news outlets
And that's a contender.
it was the Russians. Then it was the American "alt-right".
Two amoral peas in a nasty authoritarian pod.
The right-wing are very sore losers, however France has spoken, and moderation triumphed as it did in Austria, as it will in Germany and as it will here in Poland too.
The French have chosen the best candidate for France and for Europe. However much that riles you.
I didn't see the Right Wing out burning the flag, cars, rioting in the streets, burning buildings, protesting in the streets for weeks on end whining like the Left did when Trump smeared Crooked Hillary.
The Left Low Information Voters are well know for being sore losers jon. In jons defense however, this is the latest on the news here in America from the Left Wing media.
The hackers behind a "massive and coordinated" attack on the campaign of France's president-elect, Emmanuel Macron, have been linked by a number of cybersecurity research firms to the same Russian-affiliated group blamed for attacking the Democratic party shortly before the US election.
moderation triumphed...as it will in Poland too. The French have chosen the best candidate for France and for Europe.
Moderation triumphed, huh?
So how tough then should or will the sanctions be against Poland for refusing to participate in demographic replacement?
How much in current and future resources should be diverted away from Polish families, Poland's elderly and Poland's youth to fund the welfare needs of third world migrants who couldn't even find Poland on a map without the assistance of human traffickers, leftwing fanatics, and corrupt globalist Eurocrats?
You are a blind avid Macron supporter so you should be able to explain and justify your Manchurian Candidate's sinister intent towards Poland.
Bear in mind though, as Alexandra Rybinska correctly points out to a gang of globalist German talking-point automatons, when Poland joined the EU the matter of resettlement quotas of third world migrants into Poland was never a pre-condition for accession or receiving EU structural and investment funds:
Although the discussion is in German there are English subtitles for your benefit.
In any event, it's clear that any punitive steps taken by Macron and his globalist paymasters would be illegal and should be regarded as an act of hostility towards the Polish Republic.
In jons defense however, this is the latest on the news here in America from the Left Wing media.
Yes indeed, the left wing media. Nothing more needs to be said then about their lack of objectivity and trustworthiness.
If this hack against Macron were affiliated with the Russian government then the timing and use of American youtube personalities to tweet about it couldn't have been more amateurish. The information would never have gone viral in mere hours to swing the election. Surely if the Russians were the only reason Trump became president and in light of the nonstop blaming they got in the American media and by their politicians then Russian would really have polished up their act by now were they to reattempt anything with another country.
Romans massacred, polluted and urinated once decent and proud Galia. Then, with time, French nation was born. So, after initial pollution and urination, what does it matter what Arab doing there these days. Its his land now. No, not just now. From long time ago, already, thanks to Romans.
