So you think bankrupting the ECB through bailing out Greece, Portugal and Ireland is trivial?? Let's see how relaxed they are when their govt doesn't even get near to repaying the loans.
Failures of Poland and Tusk`s government

A few posts ago we were talking about Greeks. Now, you are adding two more.
I will answer after I am sure that you have come out with everything/everybody that sores you. :):):):)
Because Tusk alluded to Greece but I'm just saying that the problem is even wider. It doesn't sore me, really. I just feel that Tusk was wide of the mark there.

Nope. As a Pole, Tusk knows that situation can still be much, much worse. Poland survived szlachta`s anarchy, liberum veto, partitions, wars, risings, occupations, dominations. In the light of those, do you think that Greece`s problems may worry anyone here? :):):):):)
When you know that hawkish bankers are ready to swoop, wouldn't you feel worried? When 3 countries are going under and a second crisis is always looming, is that trivial?
Seanus, there is a Polish saying - in free translation: let there be war in the whole world, as long as the Polish country (wieś) stays peaceful, stays quiet.
Nice expression but they will be vocal come election time. PiS will score well because of them.
If Tusk and his government don`t manage to introduce the new retirement age at 67 for all, instead of the current 65 for men and 60 for women, it will be one of their biggest failures.
economist.com/blogs/easternapproaches/2012/03/pension-reform-poland
What of the reform itself? Raising the retirement age in Poland is as necessary here as elsewhere in Europe, thanks to rising debt levels and weakening demographics. Yet the dissatisfaction of those who will lose out, and their broader animosity towards Mr Tusk, is understandable, up to a point.
Civic Platform's opponents accuse it of reneging on election pledges and of forcing its reform through without consultation. The proposal is a particular hike for women, who currently retire at 60 (men retire at 65). Germany, Europe's powerhouse and Poland's key partner, is also raising its retirement age to 67. But the average Pole lives for five years less than the average German, and works longer hours for lower wages.

If they do it will be their frailer as well if they introduce the new retirement age and one of their smallest.
Iron, I appreciate your input but can you come back and contribute again when you are sober? :):):):)
If they introduce the new retirement age it will be only another failure, one of many!
No, it won`t.
Before I submit expertises about it, let me go a little personal.
I want to work till I am 67. Even longer, if possible.
You are probably too young to understand it but in my opinion, when you are retired, you are half dead. You are sort of suspended between life and death.

You can work till you die for what I care. However many people would like to it what they have been promised.
Cheating them out of it is not only ugly thing to do to but immoral.

Yes, I loved him as a kid. Unfortunately, communists limited access to him.
Merged: Tusk government the worst in 23 years - Kaczyński
Speaking on Sunday in Elbląg PiS leader Kaczyński said the Tusk government was the wost in the past 23 years. It was incompetent, ineffective and based on corrupt oldboy networks, bribery and special arranegements. As proof of the inequaltiy it represrents, the leader of the biggest opposition party could not rent a hall in Elbląg, because someone in power had passed the word: Don't rent to PiS. That is Tusk style equality and democracy, and the sooner it is swept away, the better. That is why the Gliński non-parliamentary cabinet is needed to start cleaning up the post-communist mess, Jarosław said..
No link because anybody who wanted to could watch this live on TVP Info or TVN24 and rebroadcasts of highlights on all the stations..

A bit of a dog bites man story. It would be worth commenting on only if jarek praised the guy.
Somebody's got taste then.
Seriously Mods, can't all this party political nonsense be swept into one thread where Polonius can dribble and quibble to his heart's content - it is after all, always on the same subject.

This is about the Polish body politic, what is developing on the Polish political stage which may have a bearing on the immediate and furtehr future. Tomorrow Kaczyński holds talks with Pawlak. I have it on good auhtority that the no-confidecne vote will be discussed.
ooops....
Hello, let me ofefr you a wram wlecome.

I wouldn't think a PiSuarzy/PSL coalition would have that much appeal.

But - again - Pawlak is meaningless. They need to get Ruch Palikota to support any such vote, otherwise it's doomed to failure.
And RP would never, ever, touch the PiSuarzy.

Exactly.
All that stuff about "showcase homosexuals" from PiS voters, after all.
That sort of fanatical rhetoric is quite common among groups who actually have nothing to real to say and nothing actually going for them.

Well, in that case it is true innit ?

What so fanatical about that? I agree that is not very constructive but then Mr B is not considerate or constructive himself. I could easily call his stance fanatical.
Polls are showing Tusk, the PO, and Komorowski popularity is dropping, and PiS and Jaroslaw Kaczynski favorability is rising. Also trust in government and politicans in dropping. Dissapproval ratings of Sejm and Senate for very high 70% for Sejm and over 50% for Senate

There were elections in October 2011, right?
PiS lost as usual, right?
