InPolska is certainly not 'pretending to be Polish' - I am sure she is French actually. As she lives there she is well qualified to comment about LBGT rights in Poland.
GW reports the the Catholic website Fronda.pl wishing God's mercy on LGBT and Greens operative Katarzyna Bienias who was killed by a falling tree during the recent spate of violent weather. "May God forgive her for all the evil she has committed in her lifetime," Fronda said.
I read the news last night in GW and I was shocked. It is terrible to die this way. The girl was only 29. May she rest in peace and my condoleances to her family and friends!

People like that sicken me. They do nothing other than bring disgrace on Christianity and undo a vast amount of the good work done by the RCC in Poland. I'm sure that Satan is keeping a very special corner of hell particularly warm for them.
I read Pol too quickly. My goodness! That's what a catholic paper says about a girl who died at the age of 29 in an awful matter!!!! I bet they say it's a punishement ..... How cruel!
It's actually an unpleasant extreme right wing website that most people in Poland have never heard of. And they're (or the pond life who runs it is) just being nasty about someone whose boots he is not fit to lick.
Fronda and its 'readership' have zero influence on human rights legislation in Poland; quite simply nobody listens to them.
Let's be clear about one thing; diversity = (third-world) immigration = America's historical love of cheap labor. The US has ALWAYS been a nation of the huddles masses. Thing is from huddling together during the first winter at Valley Forge until today, the masses have gotten just a little bit too huddled. Essentially, we have crony capitalism on steroids, all the bequest of Ronald Reagan, America's Patron Saint of Homelessness and Dislocation.

The people of Poland and America are not being influenced by the Pope's teachings that are against what Christianity stands for. It is starting to look like it may be a very long time before Poland will guarantee anything to the Gays besides respecting them as people and disrespecting their morals.
I am unaware of Pope Francis ever approving same-sex marriage. Have I missed something? He said he could not condemn gays and the sensation-seeking media hyped it up into "Pope supports homosexuality". But that has long been the case. The Church does not condemn homosexuals as such, only their vile, sinful practices, so Francis was not saying anything new..
Here in Poland and, as far as I know, throuhgout Europe there isn't any noticeable groups of global-warming deniers. In the US it is a leftist-rightist bone of contention.
Same with the gun business -- not many Poles or Europeans are for widepsread gun ownership. And there is no creationist movement. JP2 made it clear that religion and science are not at loggerheads but complement each other.
Then again, half the southern states don't teach evolution either

Yep. How right you are! That's why many here at home have turned towards Western Europe for guidance. Doesn't seem to have done much good though, on either side:-)
Just goes to show the limited circles you run with. Polish society is a rich mosaic of diverse opinions. It's good to hear the views of more than just one segment thereof. If you function only amongst like-minded peers then it can get to be a mutual adoration society with no fresh input.
JohnnyReb, apprarently you still don't understand that, as the Bible was written by humans, humans are infallible, at that time, highly ignorant beings. The pleasant poetry of the Scriptures is nonetheless forever subject to interpretation! Guess you never studied science, or, don't tell me, you were out that day/month/semester:-)

Even if it does, it can't get vetoed forever - it will pass during the next political cycle, and Poland is no exception to political cycles. The important thing is that the issue is starting to get attention and build momentum.

if humanity continue to follow pervert trends, one day would become moral that man implant penis of the horse or elephant and ask for the rights to publicly call it normal, even to form club of, let`s say `horse penis bearers` (sub-LGBT group). Or, some future woman may want to have lips in form vagina and insist that to become global standard. Future may even found normal for man to desire legs like pig or ears like rabbit.
Changes of moral standards aren`t always progressive.
