There is some truth in what Doug says,but it's mainly kept below the surface,Poles and Asians generally get on fine in The UK but there is an underlying perception,on both sides,that the others are a bit uncivilized....or uncouth.
Exactly. "Uncouth". Miss that word! Been away from the UK now for 30 years...that's the mutual perception, in one word.
