Poland blocks any action on climate change

What is really "funny", not ha ha funny, is that the globalists and their leftist useful idiots, with plenty of them here, just don't see the conflict and their own stupidity in demanding open borders and lower fossil fuel consumption - both at the same time.

Well, geniuses, when Ramirez moves to "America", he will heat and cool his apartment, buy two cars, and run his two teevees all day long. Duh! Back in his sh**hole, he had a bicycle and no running water to deplete the earth limited resources.

The problem for me is that I cannot discern that any of the powers that be are _really_ concerned about climate change. The piddling half measures trotted out usually seem to involve collecting extra charges that go to undisclosed organizations.

Also the scale of proposed action cannot possibly have any real effect. I've read that two airline flights a year cancels out any carbon reduction a person otherwise engages in.

I'll believe that those in power are really concerned when they propose grounding over 80% of all jet travel or something similar with a large enough scope that it might make a difference...

And this is why Trump boycotted the Summit.
Six months after the Summit the U.S.A. had decreased our carbon output yet China who did attend the Summit increased their carbon output.

How can you compete with a country like that ?
While Poland refuses nuclear energy and keeps right on burning cheap dirty coal.
Seems nobody wants to sacrifice squat to fix the problem and the finger pointing continues.
The only fix I can see is another world war to eliminated 80% of the population.

Actually Poland is a burning black coal which is much cleaner when it comes to gas emisions than brown coal burned in German powerplants. Brown coal produces a large amount of Sulfur Dioxide on top of large amount of CO2.

That said, there shouldn't be any CO2 regulations and each country should decide for themselves. This is especially important for developing countries who wants to build their economies on industry which is the only proven way to move from a club of perpetually "developing countries" to"developed countries".

Dude, I seen it with my own eyes! Its this blackish green smoke that billows out of 1/2 the chimneys. To be fair, many of the homes have converted over to gas, but its still nasty. You can see black soot dripping down the roofs of the homes that still use it. The worst thing is the smell and not to mention youre breathing in this crap!

If the new green AOC party were to see this, they would be thankful for the EPA and all their emission controls that are in place throughout the US.

Why Poland blocks any action on climate change, is rather rhetorical question. Poland is tired to listen others and now when Poland got erection, Poland blocks.

Lets look at the Factual Statistics then about WHO is doing something about carbon emissions and who isn't.
"Paris Agreement" by the United Nations, is an international agreement reached in 2015 aimed at reducing carbon emissions, slowing rising global temperatures and helping countries deal with the effects of climate change.

Since then carbon emissions have sky rocketed around the world and that is why Trump walked out knowing it was a joke.
And the names you useful idiots called Genius Trump for not participating was just beyond laughable.
Since the 2015 Paris Agreement the United States has decreased our carbon emissions far greater then any other country on earth by more then double" with China increasing theirs by the most which is almost off the charts.

Earth is quite well. Anglos, Frankos and Germanics didn`t ruin and eaten everything. Now we eat. Again. They beg us not to eat. Idiots.

They should be protesting electric cars.
The strain they are going to put on the electrical grid in the future will create another huge problem.
Maybe the children could explain to their teachers that it takes carbon fuels (Coal) to create that electricity.

I'm not sure about protests but as far as I remember, mid-September is when Clean Up the World takes places and kids go to parks, forests etc to pick rubbish. A quick google search shows it's this weekend. Perhaps a more active way to show kids what ecology is but that's just my opinion.

Shirley you are not a climate change denier kapyrs? and in my view the supermarket or fast food outlets next to these forests/waste land should be held responsible. Biedronka (as a case study) make the vast profits. So they should be held accountable, or the council can clear the area and present them with the bill.

Protest shouldn't be a school thing. Protest is expression of one views so organiaing it as a school activity is counterproductive imo

Clean Up the World is organised worldwide really and though I don't know where the protest in your photo took place, if that's a recent photo, it's probably part of the event, too.

Ecology like charity; ) starts at home. Whether or not kids are encouraged to take part in such actions at school (and Lenka actually made a great point about a protest organised at school) if they're not taught the basics at home, a random school protest or cleaning won't change much.

As for legislations and laws, it's the government's role

Well one point is that Polish cities would have cleaner air - you don't spend much time here so probably don't realize what a serious health issue that is for us.

So the Polish govt can work on that - that grey smog is not floating over from India

Well, I spend most of my time here and I agree about the smog.

Poland is probably the most air polluted country in Europe.
Southern Poland especialy.
It is a serious health hazard and needs to be addressed, but it will not make a difrerence to "Global Warming" or "Climate Change" even if sorted out.

We need to get The Chinese and Indians to act, otherwise we are just wasting our time.

You suggested schoolkids should be picking up litter. Most of the litter is near supermarkets (round the back, etc)
I was saying make it the supermarkets responsibility - or put cameras there and prosecute the local low-life population for boozing and littering. And build some facilities such as pubs and cafes, to show that there is no excuse for scum behaviour any more, and fine people properly for despoiling the environment.

In the meantime - the children whose future it is should have been out on the streets today demonstrating with the rest of Europe.
Nottingham - my home town, had many thousands of schoolchildren marching in the town square today insisting that world governments must act now against climate change..

The ruling classes love using kids as tools to stifle any criticism. Who, other than me, would ever say that the teenagers are lying idiots and that is why we send them to schools and colleges to become adult lying idiots - and just better at it.
