Poland blocks any action on climate change

That's a very small increase over the course of 139 years. Would've much rather been closer to a 10 degrees F increase. I could've gone to the beach then.

Also, that doesn't necessarily mean that the temperature increase is natural or that it's man made. Temperatures constantly rise and fall gradually over the course of centuries to end up with large changes. I'm sure if we looked at the temperatures over the past 5 centuries leading up to an ice age we'd see them gradually declining, just as we'd see temperatures increasing over the course of several centuries as the ice age ends.

That's an average temperature increase, don't forget that. Also, look at the other indicators. It's going downhill, that's pretty obvious. How much of it is caused by humans is debatable, but all data points to us as the responsible ones. What does it hurt to take preventative measures before it is too late? Green technologies are the future anyway, not coal and oil.


It's quite simple. There are believers in scientific data, there are those who trust the oil industry lobby, and then there are nutters who swallow any conspiracy theory they can get hold of.

Read the first paragraph of the post as well. All scientific data points to humans as the main factor for the rise in average global temperatures. You either believe these scientific facts, or you choose to swallow the Kool-aid of the oil industry that we have nothing to worry about and that we can continue on our path of destruction as if there's no tomorrow. If you believe in the Chinese Hoax conspiracy theory or similar nonsense, seek medical help.

There is no proving something that cannot be proven via the scientific method. There is no getting past the observation and theory stages as there is no way to design an experiment against a control and isolating variables. Besides even if the climate was changing who cares? The only people it'll affect are poor ********* where most people don't even have air conditioning and live off crops they plant in their back yard. The western world has more than enough money and technology to deal with a few degrees variation in temperature.
