Change can be good, apparently the only thing that doesn't change is that nothing changes :)

I wouldn't change that, even for a bit of change :) Poland has been good to me.

It's only when you lose your taste buds do you realise what you are really missing. I can't taste a darned thing. Top pierogi at Gazdówka, wędliny and bread rolls are just some of the many things I miss.

More for me I'd say :)

Change? Are you emigrating to New Zealand or something?? ;DDD

Backhanders were passed on this survey. Still, which countries would people prefer to be in and why?

New Zealand. Why? It's far from Poland ;)

What I can't figure out is how some Poles don't bat back more at their fellow countrypeople that irritate them. Too many want to leave.

Am I irritating person?

No, I meant that people like you should bat back harder at those things that irritate you here. I don't like the word should but there we go. Is Poland really so lacking in appeal that you'd rather live elsewhere, Zeti?

I just want to travel, try to see how it is somewhere else.
Yep, Poland is kind of depressing but it has its adventages too.

No, I meant that people like you should bat back harder at those things that irritate you here.

How?

Aha, travelling is a fantastic experience for sure. I've enjoyed almost all the places I've been to and choose not to rank them against Poland. They all have their own merits.

Seanus (sends an Indian how hand signal back to Zeti)

A couple Of Budweisers or Old Speckled Hen (on offer at 6.99 in Auchan) change ones' perspective. :) Plus, the sun is shining, and all is up for grabs.

Me, I'll just sit back and enjoy a slow weekend, which is what brought me to Poland in the first place 18 summers ago.

Spain should be near the top for having paella alone. God's food of choice :) Where's the best paella from, espana, which region?

I like Silesian food in winter. Poland really has great winter food.

Thanks, espana, I thought so. My student is from there and she said the same :) How about in Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands?

Poland has to introduce Mac Cheese pierogis or sticky gouda pierogi. I like the 3 main types but it could be better.

I meant the paella, espana.

I think I could use a trip to Kraków and beyond. I can't keep judging Poland based on this wee place I live in.

Mmmm. One of the drawbacks of living in a mountainous area - bird flatulence ;)

Wth is uSwitch???? I would much rather trust World Bank, and UN indicators. But honestly I don't care, I love Poland and living there for it's intrinsic culture, people, architecture, nature, etc. Things that vary by individual, and keep countries intrinsically. I honestly don't know why people rank countries, by cliche's like france, or economic interest, etc.
