I'm an optimist by nature! :)

OK.

The best case scenario...

Poles finally give up on the same old retards who governed Poland since 1989 and finally elect
real right-wing, capitalist minded politicians to power (UPR-WiP coalition). Polish economy grows
enormously, Poland stops being Germano-Russo footrest, and we finally take the place among
big, rich European countries, that we deserve.

Erm...what does that mean?

You know..that's the problem I have with you peoples discussion....it's all so wishy washy slogans...I want something more tangible...some real ideas...you know?

But now I want to hear the worst case scenario too! :)

Erm...what does that mean?

It means that we are currently well below the status that we deserve. Hopefully, it's only temporary.

it's all so wishy washy slogans...I want something more tangible...some real ideas...you know?

Well, I gave you the best idea Poles can have - stop voting for the same all retards and finally
elect UPR-WiP to power. That should be enough for a start.

How so? What do you mean by that?

You are soon taking over the EU-presidency for 6 months...a Pole presides over the EU-parliament etc...

Today's Poland is certainly better than Poland under the Soviet yoke, and the years of German Nazi occupation were surely Poland's nadir. The Second Republic was promising but all too brief, and the long years of partition were sad. The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was, mostly, a time of great glory for the szlachta and they represented Poland in style, but the best Poland that ever existed was Poland before the First Millenium. Before the Polanie tribe consolidated power, and introduced government to Poland, then was the Golden Age for the Slavs of Poland. They lived as hunters, gatherers, and gardeners without any authorities around to tell them what to do. In harmony with nature these people had all they needed: room to roam and fine women to bone. Say what you will about the "advantages" of civilization the freedom of primeval existence trumps them all, but alas, cleverness has defeated wisdom.

Yeah...sorry I forgot to mention numbers from over 100 years back as the discussion was about today! :(

There are 51 million Germans in teh US RIGHT NOW, or 17% of the U.S. population. Hmmm I’m wondering... 81 million in Germany and 51 million here. It doesn't look like mass immigration at all.

Edit:

I think you guys should ship remaining 30 mill to GB and Poland and call it even. :)

And it's still a top destination for Germans... :)

you are actually ridiculing yourself trying to ridicule me - sure there are internal problems that are not Germany's fault - but since you are German and we are discussing Polish-German relationships I point to the issues that come up with that relationship

.a Pole presides over the EU-parliament etc..

and has power to do what???

btw he is from PO and to my eyes he is a renegade - and hmm he did some sort of nasty things while serving as a prime minister which many including me realized only recently

You are soon taking over the EU-presidency for 6 months..

and you are allowed to do what during your presidency - change the European Constitution or whatever this lengthy document is called?

Okay

Simply, when I said that Poland deserves a more prominent place among European nations, I simply
meant that a nation with 35 million people, in the heart of Europe, with great potential in farming
and industry (if the managment of it wasn't bordering on treason) and modern, patriotic, educated
society, should certainly be more than a poor, politically servile Germano-Russo condominium, which
exports millions of its young people and condemns millions of others to life in poverty. These are, surely,
very moderate expectations, don't you think?

Noooo, I kindly disagree. It is not a conspiracy movie, but a movie of great wisdom. Just watch and judge my good taste.

Just watch and judge my good taste.

Your good taste (and your nose) rocks Adam...but I'm highly suspicous of ideologues trying to worm their way into otherwise fine brains...and so should you. There will never come something good out of it...like sirene songs, highly seductive in their promise to have all the easy answers to the problems of our time but the awakening will be bad.

30 millions Germans in Poland...hmmm...interesting idea! :)

But leave your tanks at home when you come and visit again. btw there are lots of confused Polish-Germans still living there.

Just for example my childhood buddy Mr. Szmidt was convinced that his last name was of Slavic origin. He would argue with me about it passionately for hours. Now that i think about it he reminds me of Crow a little. I guess it depends where you grow up then it could be slavic.

We come with Audis, Mercs and Beemers this time! :)

Mr. Szmidt

Polonization...that's so Schmidt! Should you meet him again ask him what Smith/Schmied means in polish.

Schmidt

Typically Slavic name.

what Smith/Schmied means in polish

It means "a germanized Slav" ;)

Of course! :)

These are, surely,
very moderate expectations, don't you think?

I still don't know what you mean with that :(

Can you give an example for either:

A) servile russo-german condominium

and

B) what the deserved polish place in Europe would look like?

But I don't think you can blame the mass emigration on the countries who take the Poles in....Do you prefer a wall around Poland???

There are 51 million Germans in teh US RIGHT NOW

No...there are 51 million people who claim AT LEAST partial German ancestry of some sort, and according to the census bureau some ethnic numbers are estimated by censuses completed by an accurate majority. This comes as no surprise as Germans were among some of the first ethnic groups to come to America along with the British and French.

This might make BB giggle, but I remember a US History professor telling me that back in the very early 1800's there was a constitutional vote on whether the official language of America should be German or English and English won by only a slighter majority.

But it's only a myth anyway...

A) servile russo-german condominium

Sure. An independent state which discovers huge deposits of gas on its territory, and have
suffered in the past because of Russian unreliability in supplying it, would diversify its sources,
work intensively on extraction from its own deposits, and negotiate a good deal with the Russians
in the meantime. A servile condominium would submissively accept a long-term (until 2037)
gas deal, that forces it to buy Russian gas for a higher price than paid by Germany
or Great Britain (the very same gas on Polish-German border suddenly becomes 20% cheaper
than it is on Polish eastern border).
The said condominium would also agree to buy more gas than it needs, cancel the overdue Russian
transit fees, and put the works on its own deposits ad acta. Guess which option Poland chose.

*rolling eyes*

B) what the deserved polish place in Europe would look like?

I think I've already answered that question for you.

I don't think you can blame the mass emigration on the countries who take the Poles in

I'm NOT! Did you even read my posts in this thread? I'm blaming the self-worshipping, half-witted
moral dwarves and traitors who currently rule Poland.

Don't we all! :)

But then...observed from the outside Poland looks okay...it could be (and often was) much much worse!

(At least you don't blame Germany! *phew*)

Yeah, like a big, shiny red apple, eaten from the inside by worms!

*I admit, I'm in a "bi*tch and moan" mood today :)*

At least you don't blame Germany!

I'm quite sure I can find something to blame Germany for. Just give me some time :)

Well you might be right about the numbers and all, the census guy showed up at my house and as a joke I told him that I was Asian. So this year I’m kind of Asian ancestry…

....but next year I swear I’m going back to my roots and I’m claiming my Polish heritage again!
