Poland Should Beef Up Military

If Germany would be divided then they would not have opportunity to vote.

How democratic of you!

German lands have long history of being organized in such mood and somehow they managed to develop nicely, better than any centralized big state.

We always manage "nicely" thank you but you also don't seem to know about our movement to unify.
It started in earnest as the French under Napoleon used these german duchies again as their battleground and even occupied big parts...we too had our "Befreiungskriege", you should google it!

It was the next logical development....in a Europe full of nationstates who trampled on their german minorities it was necessary...we were late to the game though!

You prefer higher living standard of average citizen or perhaps care only about being European military superpower?

PS: Unified Germany now has one of the highest living standards of the world without being a military super power...go figure!

I wouldn't brag to much about Germany my Silesian "german" friend.

Some facts about Germany

8.18 births/1,000 population (2008 est.)

10.8 deaths/1,000 population (2008 est.)

HIV/AIDS - people living with HIV/AIDS 43,000 (2001 est.)

Unemployment rate: 10.8% (2008 est.)

Public debt: 62.6% of GDP (2008 est.)

GDP - per capita Rank 35 Germany

And?
We still are one of the most wealthiest nations on earth!
You don't want to claim the contrary, won't you...

And we are not a military super power too...you don't want to claim
the contrary about that neither, won't you!

HIV/AIDS - people living with HIV/AIDS 43,000 (2001 est.)

Yeah...43.000...by 82 Millions...really, that sucks!
But they will get good medical healthcare, for free...figure that!
(Public spending might have to do something about that!)

GDP - per capita Rank 35 Germany

Huh?

1 United States 14,330,000
2 Japan 4,844,000
3 China (PRC) 4,222,000
4 Germany 3,818,000

Im 70% German. But im not going to glorify Germany like it would be some kinda Uber nation, like you do all the time.

Germany has aloot of problem. In the Ruhr Area i'ts so hard to find a job that people are glad to have a salary on 700-1000 euro/month.

And if you walk in the German city Frankfurt am Main in the morning you will see the whole city filled with sleeping homeless people everywhere.

Well, then what do you want to say?

That Germany is NOT a rich, prosperous, stable nation admired by many?
I never said we are perfect, there isn't a perfect country...but we master our problems.
We just did build our second "Wirtschaftswunder" in rebuilding the whole East and nobody expected less of us.
Other countries would had struggled much more and might not have come so far so shortly.
There are many, many reasons to be proud, why not?

Well, I need more than just your words for it!

Are we poor?
And must our poor stay hungry? Aren't they fed and clothed by the state?
Are we instabil? Is our democracy tetering, are there riots on the streets?
Will nobody want to buy our goods anymore? Does the world dislike us?

David? I'm waiting! :)

[quote]Germany has one of the world's highest levels of education, technological development, and economic productivity.
Since the end of World War II, the number of youths entering universities has more than tripled, and the trade and technical schools of the Federal Republic of Germany (F.R.G.) are among the world's best.

With a per capita income level of more than $28,700, Germany is a broadly middle class society. A generous social welfare system provides for universal medical care, unemployment compensation, and other social needs. Millions of Germans travel abroad each year./quote]

Yeah...poor us!

Are we poor?

I don't believe Germany is poor country. But it is a Country with aloot of problems.

The air is bad since every German owns like 10 cars each ( atleast it feels like they do ). And with all the exhaust gas in the air, the trees/Animals and even Humans dies by it.

And of course the German industry is a big problem too, becuase of the Global warming. And all pollution the industry is placing into the environment that causes instability, disorder, harm and discomfort to the ecosystem.

Are we instabil?

What do you mean by instabil? Instabil in what field?

Is our democracy tetering, are there riots on the streets?

Yea there have been some riots.

Thanks to the Us the german democracy is working just fine.

Will nobody want to buy our goods anymore? Does the world dislike us?

Since the world have a financial crisis right now, and the economic growth is declining. I believe Germany will have a hard time to sell the goods that the german industri is producing. And by that aloot of factories will shut down and move somewhere else, and cuz of that the unemployment will rise.

I don't believe evereyone hates Germany. Neither do i believe everyone loves germany ( Besides you maybe ).

Well...and look who's fault that is?
Hint: Not Germany's....not as much a credit crunch since we are rather a people of savers, not spenders and no housing bubble either!

I don't believe evereyone hates Germany. Neither do i believe everyone loves germany ( Besides you maybe ).

Well, not only me David.
The latest nation brand survey and the February BBC survey both put Germany as most popular country on top spot!

Yup, successful (top exporter on high priced quality goods), rich AND popular world wide (and still no military super power), go figure!

Apropos pollution and global warming...what does Poland do about it?

German green technology forges ahead

usatoday.com/money/economy/2007-07-20-3514823071_x.htm

Germans love their fast cars, but they also love nature, and their country is setting a bar for the world in developing the technologies to replace oil.

Much of its industry to supply the panels that capture the sun's energy lies along the Polish border in what has become known as Germany's "Solar Valley."

Never seen anyone to be so obsessed about Germany.

Maybe it's just that you never met a German who could set some facts straight as you are more used to slandering your neighbours between your drunk brothers in your local pub?

Sorry...my bad! You want a dispute? Better get your facts straight BEFORE you start with me, or get out of my way!

Haha and iv'e never seen people Edit their posts so many times like you!

Yes, because I add to my posts whenever I find more interesting facts and links...whereas you have....?

Apropos pollution and global warming...what does Poland to about it?

Well Germany and Poland has a big diffrerence betwen their budget. It's like comparing the Length betwen a midget to a 190 cm tall man

It started all with me stating that Germany is a prosperous nation without being a military super power....what made you throw in an opinion you still can't cement with facts or stats.

You are boring!

Not really. Im flying to Germany once a month to visit my family there. And since they live there, and know the problems in Germany and told me all about it. I know what im talking about.

Do you even live in Germany?
Bratwurst Boy  8 | 11801
11 Feb 2009 /  #197
Well I live in Berlin and I think I see much more about some of the problems Germany has than you or your family but that are always only pieces of the whole picture...

Our overall picture is better than that of most other countries.....or do you want me to tell about Poland from some dreary beton suburb of some polish town?

But to try to get a point against Germany using our economy, our standing in the world and our social wealth or our engineering was an extraordinary bad move!

What do you want actually?

I wanted to answer a suggestion by lesser...contrary to him I think it is possible to be a successful country with widespread wealth and security for the average citizen without being a military super power!

Then you chimed in that Germany isn't wealthy but kind of struggling to go along....

So...what do you want?

Stop spaming propaganda about Germany. Cuz the way you glorify Germany just makes other germans sick.

Stop spaming propaganda about Germany.

Heh....I just post some links about what the Americans for example think of the Germans..
Can't stand it? Doesn't fit into your world view? To fuking bad!

Cuz the way you glorify Germany just makes other germans sick.

I don't think so....not only is Germany most popular with most other peoples as the surveys show also about more than 80 percent of the Germans like their Germany as it is best of all too!
David_18  65 | 966

My father is 100% german and my mother is 50% german and 50% polish.

But you are for sure a pole, no doubt.

My father is 100% german and my mother is 50% german and 50% polish.

The polish influence!

A real German would have searched for real evidence to cement his opinions...more rational...but you Poles are to emotional for that!

(and no...43.000 Aids sick out of 82 Millions is NOT a sign of tetering at the abyss, especially not as those sick will get probably the best health care available if they have money or not...)

But you are for sure a pole, no doubt.

Sure...that's why I am so proud of Germany!
That is pure polish logic!

Well well...
