Who controls Gazeta Wyborcza??

I suppose it may be somewhere out there on the net, but anyone know offhand if GW has ever been the subject of a master's or doctoral thesis? It woudl prove extremely interesting reading.

Not nearly as interesting as reading the sources which you are going to provide us with in order to back up your gem from this thread, i.e.:

what is behind that unusual concentration of people of non-Polish ancestry in a single newsroom and Agora boardroom?

Come on then: let's see your sources!

The sources besides WIkipedia, the Internet (just Google what you're after), personal knowledge (I have spoken to many of the KOR people who later became part of the GW/ Unia Demorkatyczna camp) and general knowlegde -- ask any Pole. If this is that important to you, I'm sure you have the computer-savvy to find out. Koniec. I've got better things to do.

The sources besides WIkipedia

You have quoted from two Wikipedia articles: both of them state the persons you claim are not Polish are actually Polish.

the Internet (just Google what you're after),

There are lots of sites on the internet which tell us that the Holocaust did not happen. But we are asking you to provide reliable sources to back your claim that there is an "unusual concentration of people of non-Polish ancestry in a single newsroom and Agora boardroom". Hell, we'll settle for just one reliable source!

personal knowledge (I have spoken to many of the KOR people who later became part of the GW/ Unia Demorkatyczna camp)

Sorry, but 'what a bloke in the pub told me' is not a reliable source. I met a bloke in the pub who told me that the Holocaust never happened and that both Elvis and JFK are still alive.

general knowlegde -- ask any Pole.

I just asked the two ladies whose desks are nearest mine: one of them hasn't "got any idea what he's talking about"; I can't repeat what the other one said about you because I'd get banned for posting it here (interestingly, she immediately pegged you as Polonia; I do hope that her remarks as to your species and parentage are less accurate).

Koniec. I've got better things to do.

You made your laughable claim: you support it (or we'll just carry on laughing at you).

I also asked at work, and my colleagues thought of me being an alien, asking such daft questions.
They rather turned the question around...what kind of person you have to be to "work" for GP, RM or to vote for the Smolenkists.

But then, they all are from Warsaw and surroundings, had higher education, have no complexes about the past...so they have to be gay/liberal/pederasts/hopeless :))

Okay, we've had a lot of disagreements, and that's okay (the whole point of the disscusion)
Thanks very much for everyone that took part!! Even those that called me an idiot, dumb kid etc... :)

I don't think that this topic can be exploited eny further hence I think that the thread can be closed...

Thank you very much !!

Cheers

No, first Polonius is going to provide us with a single reliable source to support his claim that here is an "unusual concentration of people of non-Polish ancestry in a single newsroom and Agora boardroom".

If you are so keen to get an answer, than make up your own thread, or ask Polonius3 via his mail, or PF mail, but on this thread!

I created it and now I believe that the thread can be closed.

THE END!

I created it and now I believe that the thread can be closed.

What you believe carries somewhere between exceedingly little weight and no weight at all here.

The topic of this thread is "Who controls Gazeta Wyborcza??". A certain person has stated that there is an "unusual concentration of people of non-Polish ancestry in a single newsroom and Agora boardroom". Other people have posted to say that that claim is utter bollocks and asked that person to provide a single reliable source to support his laughable claim. He is refusing to do so.

If you don't want light shone on ridiculous claims, be more careful as to what kind of claims you make.

Now, perhaps polonius would like to provide us with that single reliable source?

I believe you are right. The admin should grant the OPs the right to execute the closing down their own threads to avoid abusing it by others who promote their personal obsessions in those threads and whose further contribution doesn't really interest anyone except themselves. Slowly but steadily it adds to the deterioration of the contents of the PF.

the Internet (just Google what you're after)

Why don't you provide us with that single reliable source from the internet? You seemed so certain of those two claims that well, surely you can provide that one source?

Sorry, but 'what a bloke in the pub told me' is not a reliable source.

I did meet several blokes in the pub who knew you ;) For some reason, any mention of Warsaw seems to be followed up with "do you know Harry?" :D

If this is that important to you, I'm sure you have the computer-savvy to find out. Koniec. I've got better things to do.

Is that an admission that you actually can't provide that single reliable source? Certainly sounds like it.

I created it and now I believe that the thread can be closed.

It's not for you to decide - I know you're only a kid, but this isn't school - tantrums aren't going to get you anything.

Wouldn't that just mean the usual suspects shut threads down as soon as they're questioned/

Sorry "Grandad" :)
You know that age doesn't mean a thing? In my opinion you sound as an under developed "adult" that thinks that anything beyond his age is stupid, and childish...

If you would know anything about the Internet, "Grandad" then you should probably understand that on some forums the thread creator is a kind of an administrator.

I wasn't trying to cause a tantrum, I wasn't informed properly.
In future could you please stop with the provocations about my age??
Hey, at least I've said the truth, I am 18, and how about you?
"Adult" hehe

Cheers!

PS: Delphi, if you have got any problems with me, personally, then ignore me, you see this is a thing that they taught me in "school"...

The Kremlin?

Indeed. Age doesn't always bring wisdom but frankly it usually does. Part of that is understanding that not everything is black and white and that there area no conspiracies, only people.

Then again, what is the average age of the Smolenkists :)))))

One would certainly think he'd be able to provide at least one source, especially given how certain he seems about his claim.

I did meet several blokes in the pub who knew you ;)

That may have had something to do with a very recent trip to Ministerstwo Browaru, Setka and the other usual suspects.

You are so naive. Antoni Macierewicz, of course.
Any time he comes up with any new Smoleńsk revelation, GW responds. So who pushes the buttons?

I'd say Putin... but that's my guess...
Harry
4 Sep 2012 /  #114
No, Obama's CIA!

Let's guess: you have precisely the same number of reliable sources to support that claim as you have to support your claim that there is an "unusual concentration of people of non-Polish ancestry in a single newsroom and Agora boardroom"?
Polonius3  980 | 12275

I have the same amount of evidence to support that claim as the one hwo listed Mossad.
Harry
4 Sep 2012 /  #116
Nobody has stated that Mossad control GW.

You, however, clearly stated that there is an "unusual concentration of people of non-Polish ancestry in a single newsroom and Agora boardroom" and claimed that there are sources to support you. So now kindly give us some reliable sources supporting your claim or withdraw it.

Personally, I have come through some very biased reporting in Gazeta Wyborcza which concerned the company I worked for, and as I knew the matter as an "insider", I could clearly see the reporting did not want to mention a highly critical report by a certain government body on the action of the person whom GW defended with that reporting.

Whoever controls the GW, be it the FBI or the KGB, treating it as the only source of reliable information is not enough in today's Poland (and yes, I read it sometimes, among other daily papers and several high quality blogs).

Right.

The next question is: does anybody control Macierewicz or is he out of control?
