In the weird 30% of the Polish electorate (120% of PolAm) this is considered to be normal. In every country west of the Oder/Neisse border this would lead to immediate arrest. And consequently to a sorry end in prison. The pecking order in any Western European prison is civilized.... every bank robber has a daughter.

Correct me if I'm wrong but all that "licking" (however inappropriate) has been practiced for years(tradition),even for decades> Also parents of children involved have been aware and possibly present at the seen. I'm not being judgmental here but I'm doing my best to avid "mob mentality".

The thing is - I'm not sure that it's actually a crime anywhere. He would certainly be suspended immediately, and it's unlikely that he would keep his job - but I'm not so sure that it was actually a crime.

Of course, because he's a priest in Polska B, he'll be untouchable.

That you can make such a comment is, frankly, worrying. I do hope you don't have any responsibilities of any type with children.

The fact that this could have happened at all worries me. The fact that some are shrugging it off, and even accusing those of us who are worried of having dirty minds is even more worrying.

A little concerniong some of the comments hear for me. All because this has been done for some time and is classed as "tradition" does not make it right. All because something is traditional doesn't make it correct in any way. From where I sit, if that was my child and i found out then I would probably be in jail at the moment...

But it's easy to understand why people here are defending it: they see non-Poles taking a position against Poles and so by default they side with the Poles (even though in this case that means they are siding with people who abuse children). Sadly predictable.
