Police have identified the author of a video, circulating on the web, showing a child tormenting a cat. The shocking video was shot by a 15 year old from Krakow, while the cat tormentor was his three-year-old brother. The teenager, who will face trial in a juvenile court, uploaded his controversial film on a popular website, causing an uproar.

"The film outraged many web surfers, who reacted immediately notifying the police in various parts of the country," Katarzyna Padlo from the press office of the southern Malopolska police force told the PAP news agency.

Police officers have already talked to the 15 year old. The film footage will be handed over to the family and juvenile court, which will take further actions.

Cats and dogs found in the flat occupied by the boy's family have been taken to an animal shelter, Padlo added. (kk/jb)

It's easy to conclude that the child did not what he was doing since he's older brother was teaching him "it's ok to do this/that" so ya it's pretty much the 15 year old's fault.

I've seen the video on Youtube and the 15 year old was pointing and directing his brother to do the horrific things to the cat.

I've seen the video on Youtube and the 15 year old was pointing and directing his brother to do the horrific things to the cat.

As I said yesterday, there is no way this 3 year old did this without prompting. He was schooled in this wickedness and had clearly witnessed this on more than one occasion and I reiterate the point, environment holds sway over genetics.

We've done this debate before, this generation is being desensitised and it will get worse. Such events are extraordinary, soon they will be the norm.

And you might just be the reason I have more empathy for animals than humans...

Absolutely right. Animals are more human nowadays that the humans themselves.

Venables

I dont think theres any dispute to that little shite being an absolute psychopath. Would be interesting to meet the parents, i bet he was sexually abused from a young age.

Great flick on that by the way called simply "Boy A", its about the other guy that went to juvenile prison.

Although i believe nurture plays a large part in shaping people i think many are just born bad, the best upbringing in the world wont change the outcome.

Tough issue that, WB. Sth deep often festers inside such cretins. It isn't as disturbing as the little toad that put his cat in the microwave. He should have been castrated and thrown into the ring with Fedor Emelianenko where a give up call is left unheeded.

Utterly despicable! Animals are there for our love and caring. How sb could do that is beyond me.

I am not into child abuse , but if i saw a kid doing this i would kick him so hard up the ass he would forget what the ground felt like...

You may want to read " The Slap" before considering such action.

The premise is this: an obnoxious child does something faintly threatening at a family barbecue, and the father of the threatened child smacks him. Everyone is so upset by this that the barbecue breaks up in a hurry, and within a day, the parents of the slapped child have the slapper arrested

Interesting comment i wrote back in 2010, I've completely changed my mind on that since. Its nurture virtually all the way.
