Well, let's think things differently. You know these unusual couples because they are celebs.
There are other unusual couples, but they're 'normal' people and don't appear in magazines.

And your view is that automatically entitles his kids to his fortune.
How do you know that he even had a good relationship with his kids? That they weren't busy squandering the money they already had in the anticipation of more? That maybe he felt that by leaving them millions more, it might actually wreck their lives?

His money, his choice.

Not inviting them to the wedding might have been a clue......

He married her after living with her for a time then left his money to her and not his children who already had trust funds that made them wealthy. They settled, both groups felt "they won" and everyone lived happily ever-after. The lawyers all got new houses and it could be that one of them divorced his wife and married his mistress........

Whether she married him for his money or not, isn't really the point though.
It was still HIS money to do with as he saw fit.
I'm sure his kids were far from overjoyed with being cut out of his will, but who knows whether the result would have been the same had he married someone his own age.

Perhaps he felt she was more deserving than the kids.

If he'd been diagnosed with Alzheimers or Dementia there wouldn't have been a 3 yr wrangle over the will.
His kids tried the obvious approach, he's old and lost his marbles. Only card they could play really. Case of sour grapes if you ask me.

I've heard from a Polish lady who used to work as her cook that she was pretty abusive towards old Johnson. She was a typical gold digger and I don't know what the fuss was all about.
