I wondered that because I am interested in dating Polish guy, but I don't know if they would ever date someone like me. I have hazel eye color, light brown caramel skin colorvand my body type is sort of close to J-lo ( I've been told) , I'm 5'8 tall and i'm well educated. I know 4 languages and currently learning Polish :) I love the language and culture. I want to learn more as I have heardthey are only interested in their own ethnic group. I want to know if its the younger generations like in their early 20's . I would be so glad if anyone can give me an advice. Please be respectful and thanks for reading :)

Hello!

How are you Alexandra?

Just wanted to ask you your opinion about Poland from the Latin American viewpoint. Do you like the country? Do you find similarities between Poland and Latin American countries?

I ask you because I am interested in studying in Poland.

Take care!

Hi Alexandra :)

If you mean Polish guys from Poland then I don't think they would have problems with dating Latin women. Quite on the contrary, I suspect lol

But if you mean Polish Americans - then I have no idea.

YAWP! My fellow is from far Northeast of Poland.
I'm a mixie and red-headed) but fairly dark. He likes my "tawnyness and amber eyes". And curves. We gotz em. I'm 5'8 as well.

Not that many of us on latin side are very dark in skin or hair ( definitely from our Portuguese/Czech side) but while my fiancé was in States; last year my family kept commenting on his whitey whiteness til he was perma red from blushing. None of my 'white' kin are anything like his snowy white. His entire family up 3 generations he showed me are pale ,blue-eyed blondes. Though he can tan ..surprisingly.

Lol! he is now informally my "Blanquito" and some (mum, sister, aunt) are sure enough of him being family to call him 'Guero' and 'Flaco'. Though he does tease that our American RC Catholicness is heretical >_<

[b]But honestly?????? [/i]It really will depend on the guy. If you have the right combination for him, he's gonna pick you no matter your ethnic background. ^_^

VIVA la DIFERENCIA!

The moment I heard the language, I felt in love with it so I started to do more research on Poland :). Where are you from?

Thank you! I really loved it :) yes definitely layin people are different shades of colors which is what makes it interesting :) . I'm mexican/ french I know both languages good and my skin is light caramel :) You being Portuguese and Czec its interesting mix :). Oh cool we are same height :D A lot of people tell me im tall to be latina but I think it depends on genes :)I hope to find some Polish guy :) theyre so cute. Have you visited Poland? :)

Alexandra, post a photo of yourself if you want a good prediction on how well you'll do getting Polish men (or any European men).

Can you please stop spamming the forum by calling me a basement dweller every time you encounter one of my posts?

I agree! And no sadly though I have been to Europe couple times, I was child. The last trip was north but closest we went was to Denmark for 2 days, & while visiting relations on my fathers Bohemian (Czech) Weicz side around Sokolov while staying at Weiss family farm near Nurnberg for a month.

Though suggestion was trolly, Mc is ALMOST right. Caveat being only 1/4 of posters here are Polish or/and live in Poland.

It was not trolly. Men view physical appearance as a very important trait when selecting a mate. It's just the way they're biologically programmed.

Biological programming or not.. doesn't make "lemme se what ya got and I'll make my judgment then." less trolly.
It still is considered improper to ask/say it outright. Especially to post photo here would not really give her a large enough selection of different age NATIVE Poles to confirm if a "Pole" generally would find her attractive.

Embrace your gender specific trollyness. Own it, control it. Muzzle it.
Women are biologically programmed to want looks (aka signs of youth, health, and fitness) but also say: "you can't provide-you get no ride" and "the bigger the family the better".

A small percent would get ALL the women with women preferring none if not the elusive ONEs. The rest would be bachelor herds, getting into trouble, fighting and sniffing each other's butts. We don't want that do we? LAWL

Most men are probably very glad our social conditioning allows for them to have a chance to speak with the majority of us, much less have chance to touch us..

(And yes is cynical and a bit trolly view. I will admit it. I am glad my guy has perfect blunt personality, equal education and dry humor for me to keep us smooth in day to day living.)

.....and I do not think you live in a basement. Or a van by the river.

Hey girl, I think that you have all of the credentials to being dateable, especially with a Polish man ;) I'm a Latina as well and I've been with two Polish boys. I'll tell you this though, men love it when you speak to them in their language! That's how I caught both of their attention. I swear I'm going to marry a Polish man and that's why I learned the language and about the culture. There is a huge Polish-Mexican population in areas of Chicago and I think it's because the cultures just mesh well. Our cultures both love to drink, we're family-oriented, sometimes religious (SOMETIMES), and we're so sex-driven. So if you're interested in a certain Polish man, I say go for it!

Hello =] thanks for answering and telling me your personal experience with Polish guys :D
Sadly I live in California and there is not really any polish population here. I do love their language. I'm in love with a singer that lives in Poland and he came last year to New York and I couldnt go to the concert. But Im big fan of his and thats how my interest in Poland began especially the language and culture. I have a question. I have heard that theyre a homogenous (sorry if I spelled it wrong) country and that their families dont like to mix with other cultures. How where your experiences related to this subject? Did their families had a problem?

Thank you for answering and it will be awesome if you could tell me more about it =] sorry for the many questions I'm curious =]

Answer: our everyday, average citizen is biased, homophobic and monocultural - but hey! Give it a go!
