Tonight, I'm going to be asking my Polish girlfriend if she'll marry me.

I've been trying to memorise the following:

"Bylbym szczescy i szczestliwy gdybys zechcial zostac moja zona"

I'm taking her to a Mediterranean / Turkish restaurant at 7pm, she has a big surprise bunch of flowers being delivered to her at about 8:30pm, and there's a belly dancer too.

Feeling nervous now!

Bylbym szczescy i szczestliwy gdybys zechcial zostac moja zona

A few tiny corrections:
"Byłbym [what's the second word?] i szczęśliwy, gdybyś zechciała zostać moją żoną."

And of course good luck :)

Well, I wish you luck. Apparently I've been running out of it recently, so at least someone another will be more fortunate than me.

Hey Bartolome, sorry to hear that.

Well, as we say in Poland 'Sometimes you're on the cart, sometimes under' (it doesn't have anything to do with alcohol)

She said "yes!"

I'm a very happily engaged man now. Cheers all. I ended up proposing to her on a boat by the waterfront, with a big bunch of flowers by our side, and some hot Turkish food in our stomachs.

How do I say "Will you Marry me?" in Polish

Hi all... I am 4 weeks away from flying back to Europe to propose to my girlfriend of two years. I have decided to ask her in Polish which is her native tongue. She lives in Switzerland and we both speak German but it would be a great surprise for her if I can get it out in Polish.

I have put it into a few different translators online and gotten a few different versions and the only polish people I know are friends of ours and I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag so I can’t ask them.

Could someone please give me the correct wording? Is this correct...

"Będzie wy żenicie się mnie?"
She is from Warsaw originally if that matters?

I am Australian so the pronunciation will be the difficult part but need to get off on the right foot.

Thanks in advance

"Będzie wy żenicie się mnie?"

Completely wrong ; )

"Czy wyjdziesz za mnie?" is the name of the game.. "wy" - is plural it would reassamble asking multiple people at once about marriage..

Another thing is that in Polish you have two words for getting married one for men one for women, the one you used "żenić" is for men which is incorrect in this case. "Wychodzić za mąż" is the women version ; )

"Czy wyjdziesz za mnie?" or "Czy zostaniesz moją żoną?" (will you be my wife?).
Good luck :)
