I have just arrived for a holiday in Katowice and I have been completely amazed at how polite the men are. Seriously, every single one has been a true gentleman.
I am not shocked or amazed because it is a bad thing, but because this is not so common in my country.
A young man at the airport insisted on carrying my luggage for me as I wandered around aimlessly looking for my friends. Another man bought me coffee later that day. I haven't opened one door for myself the last two days I've been here. One guy I met yesterday night insisted on helping me put on my sweater cardigan! I was like....well sure! Thanks! Also I've had a few men kiss my hand? This is all very strange to me, but I love it.
Is this the norm here? Should I expect this for the rest of my trip? Or am I just meeting the right guys at the right time?
