Hi I'm Mojo. I'm English.I work part time in a supermarket and everytime I'm at work I see a group of young polish men come in to buy their breakfast. They are very polite and I always smile at them. I have seen them for several months but never really spoke to them cos I wasn't actually sure if they spoke any English. Needless to say last week one struck up a stilted conversation with me. Not much was said but the next day I was in work he handed me a letter, introducing himself and saying I make his day better when he sees me.It was a lovely letter written with a good grasp of English. He wants me to write back to him. What does this mean? Is there anything of deeper significance here

not really, besides in Poland engagement rings are not that popular yet, so he might be thinking that you are available

well, I am not sure that you did, maybe he just likes you and since I don't know the details, I am not able to say anything constructive. tell him the truth and thank for the compliment:)

Good luck:)

Well funnily enough I cant stop thinking about him. He basically wrote that if I write to him it will help him with his English. If this is the case then I don't mind writing back. I don't know what Polish guys are like. Would they think they were in with a chance?

Stop thinking what he can think or not... behave like a matured person, clear your position to him... and stick to your commitment.

He'll find some single English girl for his English... dont worry.... or he might even find a good Polish girl who knows good English!

Have a nice day!

So tell me Lonestranger why does a person have to be single to teach a polish guy a bit of English. Is it because they think that they will get some action?

Is it because they think that they will get some action?

And why are you so much interested? :D ...

Oh well... there can be so much in his mind!... why are you so bothered when all the things in your life is getting fit and settled!... HOWEVER.... if you are so liberal and easy...go ahead teach him, smile, laugh... etc etc... and then whatever you want in life!

However... I just gave my suggestion to you... and this is what this forum is all about!

Good Luck!

Of course you can.. just make it clear you're enganged with someone. Or just tell him straight.

Or if you want to have a flirt.. that's up to you.

I want to know about his life, his culture, his family. I suppose being a foreigner to me he has that element of mystique. I only know British guys

Why do you want to help him, because you want to be sure the marriage you are
about to commit to might not be what you wanted in the first place?

that is what I am getting out of you, love is something that no one can interfere
with, and being that this simple note made your mind confused tells me that you
are not committed to this soon to be union.

your going astray.. not good sign.

what if he is only wanting to get to know you in one way, maybe that he has
no intentions of anything other then that.. why would you want to know about
a stranger who hands you a note , yes this could be a love story, or could be
disaster..

The bloke I'm marrying, he is the father of my son. I must do the right thing for my son. My son wasn't planned. I got pregnant in the first month of being with my fiance and he acted like a monster though he has other children from previous marriages. My parents are strict christians so that didn't help.It was the saddest pregnancy. I only had joy at the end when I had my beautiful boy. Now 3 years on we are happier. If I am thinking about this other bloke what does that mean

I've just marked this day in my calendar.

LS has written something that I agree with word for word.

If I am thinking about this other bloke what does that mean

well, your not in love thats for sure..

why marry because its the right thing to do for whom?? you child? no, you will be
fighting , hating each other, you already show that you are angry with him, and
marry because your parents are strict? are they going to carry the burdens you do?
will they ever know how heavy your heart will feel?

I could tell you have other things going on. just dont let this guy have so much
trust.. be wary, keep composer, and take things slow, dont invite him over
without company, kinda find out why he picked you first.. ask him that in the note.

ask alot of questions. and give the ring back, even if he isnt the man you want,
least you will feel better that you did the right thing by saving /sparing your children
from all the sadness. sometimes its better that way till you find the right person..

ok, got to head out to work,,, keep me posted..and be careful!!

Yeah and my son calls eastenders 'shout' for obvious reasons
I think about the other bloke but not in sexual terms. Yes he's sexy but all those polish guys seem to be my type of man.

Do you seriously think that people who label themselves as catholic don't have pre-marital sex? It's not the 1950's anymore ;)

Wondered if any nationality considered it sacred anymore

Well I guess this stranger is basically after sex then. Just holding on to the fact he didn't just wanna shag. Better just write a note stating the facts and then hope he moves on to someone else. And for the record it may be 2007 but people nowadays still wait till they're married for sex. I know. I go to church with them
